I took my 5 year old here for a mommy daughter date and they were AWESOME. They were so patient and kind to us and even thought she was 5- they took her mani pedi serious. Idk why this Place has such high reviews. My dip was awful. I left with glue ALL over my nails. I literally had to pick the glue off for days. The tech didn't ask what shape I wanted and also didn't push my cuticle back so the dip got stuck to my cuticle as well. The spa isn't very inviting either. It just seems old and run down. I decided to come here after class since it got such good yelp reviews- and for a good reason! The ambiance is so so calm and the nail techs really take their time with your nails. She did exactly what I asked for and the length and shape are PERFECT! Will definitely be back :) The price was reasonable and probably the same as most nail places I've been to for dip nails and I paid around $55 dollars for the nails but they look so so good! read more

This salon was great and everyone was very nice. The color selection is huge with top brands like OPI. I've never seen another salon with this many nail polish colors! I'm giving 4 stars because although the salon was very nice and my gel manicure was good, it was $40. All other salons in the area are around $25 for a gel manicure so this felt really expensive. My manicure was very good but not perfect, so I'm not sure if I'll continue paying this much. read more

I thought the salon was tidy with mostly friendly staff. I would say the prices are very fair. You get what you pay for here which is similar to a budget motel. I did not feel pampered during treatment on my hands or feet. My nail polish chipped off in less than 24 hours so I had to remove it. Overall, I was not impressed. read more

I decided to leave my old nail salon when it became like an assembly line: One person would start your pedicure, another would give you the massage, and then another would put on the polish. It all felt rushed and I never knew who I should tip. Add in the multiple televisions playing different channels and I was ready for a change. My friend recommended Idyllic and I am so glad she did. This place truly has a spa feel to it. The salon is spotless, no TV (well they have them, but they are not turned on), comfortable chairs and attentive staff. Wish I had had the 5-star experience the other reviewers had. The owner is nice and very accommodating. The woman who gave me a pedicure seemed rushed and distracted - I don't know her name. I had to ask her 3 times to re-do my big toe because the polish was painted on above the cuticle and looked sloppy. Maybe she needs glasses? Just moved to the state. I was looking for a friendly professional nail salon to become a regular client. I checked out the area and decided to give them a try. I did read the reviews . I am a person that is early for everything unfortunately my nail tech was late. I didn't get disappointed. The other technicians were not very friendly but I stayed anyway. I am very easygoing and I like to let the tech show there creativity and give them freedom to show case their skills.I just let them know that I am a professional and not to get to wild. Idyllic Nails is the best nail salon I've found since my search began over a year ago when I moved to Richmond! The techs are friendly, the salon is clean and tidy, and the color selection is huge. Elle does a great job with my gel polish and my nails never peel or chip between manicures, which can easily be stretched out to 3 weeks if I'm in a time crunch. The staff and other clientele always join in friendly and pleasant conversation. It's just such a nice place. I highly recommend the place. read more

Decided to check this place out after reading all of the positive reviews here on Yelp. I was not disappointed! I walked in the day before Christmas Eve shortly after they opened (around 10:30) and was immediately seen for a regular pedicure and a shellac manicure. The place got busier later and they did appear short staffed with just 3 and had to turn some people away after booking appts to come back. My pedicurist spoke no English but a gentleman who appeared to be the manager was very American and helped me select my color for my fingers. The had a great selection of gel / shellac colors but will admit that they didn't have the sample fake nails with colors. They had tons of nice OPI regular polishes as well! The place was very clean and up to date, the pricing was right on par, and they did a great job! Definitely my new place in the area! Thanks Idyllic! read more

Business has picked up (good for them!) but it means that even when I make an appointment now I'm kept waiting 30+ minutes after my appointment time.
