Been there twice with my almost 2yr old son. He loves it there. There are different areas he can explore and the projector that shines into the floor is interactive. I also love it because I don't have to really worry about him getting into things he shouldn't. Somebody in a review complained about the owner, but I think she's a sweet lady. I really liked the community feel. I don't mind someone getting onto my kid, reasonably, if he is doing something he shouldn't. I think my favorite room is the quiet room. I love the cricket sounds, the fish lava lamps, for lack of a better word, and the fiber optic things. I mean I could take a nap in there. Everything is clean and tidy. I 100% recommend this place to anybody with little kids. read more

Here is my experience after cooling off from what I encountered today at Sensory Towne. From the moment we walked in this place, the owner was showing some passive aggressiveness off the bat. She informed me of all the rules. She proceeds to say there were no stuffed animals or toys allowed as my daughter was carrying a stuffed animal. So, I placed the stuffed animal in the bag and proceeded to walk in the play area. From that moment on, the owner literally was helicoptering over us reminding me specifically of "the rules". She never once stayed at her desk besides checking in a family. Instead, she proceeded to follow me and my daughter around and felt I had a target on my back for no rhyme or reason. She comes up behind me, scolding me like a child saying "MOM, drinks and snacks belong at the TABLES." She did this second time.This time, not even thinking honestly, I put my iced coffee on one of the tables that WASN'T allowed (God forbid.) And she comes up behind my shoulder AGAIN. Scolding me. We literally had NO room to breathe or get away from the owner as she just kept following me and every person around inside the play area. She then makes a remark about my daughter's diaper saying "it's falling out of her shorts..hahahah..." passive aggressively telling me to change her diaper. I already had a diaper in my hand when she said this and literally was done. Literally kept coming up to me and telling us how the equipment works and making comments...when all I wanted to do was ENJOY TIME WITH MY DAUGHTER. US. Not us and the owner. But I felt as if I couldn't take two steps in that place because otherwise she was RIGHT THERE on my shoulder..ready and waiting to say something I was doing wrong!! It was extremely uncomfortable and I felt extremely disrespected as a parent! Being scolded the entire half hour we were there, feeling like a kid in first grade is how she talked down to me. I proceeded to leave a review while there and she sees it, confronts me and I tell her its because she has been following us the entire time to the point of almost harassment. As I am sitting there after we spoke, I was telling my friend what happened. She then comes back..STARES AT ME...and I tell my friend, "See? She refuses to leave us alone." Almost laughing because she literally WOULD NOT STOP. We decided to go ahead and leave. As I am putting on our shoes she, from behind me at the front desk, called me ENTITLED. Who and/or what business OWNER says something to a customer out loud like that?? I have been to several different indoor play places in Jacksonville including the little social Cafe and the former nestling collective..and none were anything like we experienced here at Sensory Towne today!! The place was dim, dark, and grungy on top of the awful experience so we will not be coming back ever again. read more

The owner is very rude, passive aggressive and has zero customer service aside from the call made to inquire on a birthday session. She uncomfortably monitored like a warden everything that the children were doing. We could barely take pictures because she was always in the way. She even told one of the children playing on the slide to stop going up the opposite way. We felt uncomfortable being there. Amongst other things, basketballs/balls were deflated so that the children could not bounce them for basketball. Save your money and go to surge or rent a bounce house. I wouldn't take my pet back there. Further, She used a racial slurr when confronted about her lack of service. She will NOT be in business for long. I strongly do not recommend this establishment. Sensory Towne is a nice option for a rainy day or for an indoor play space for kids. There are a variety of toys, small rooms, and activities including a slide, swings, rockers, a foam pit, doors that light up, building blocks, and a "relaxation" room. While the website indicates that babies as young as six months can play there, I think the place is ideal for slightly older kids - 18 months to young kids. I really liked that we could bring our own snacks and eat in the sitting area. Although we haven't stayed during the entire allotted time, we found that the prices are very reasonable for one-time passes. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. It's a sensory-integrated, inclusive play space and it truly shows in every detail. My boys had an absolute blast! They loved making stained glass during art class, building in the giant block room, swinging on a variety of swings, and sliding down the wooden roller slide (a favorite!). The foam pit, gross motor toys and chairs, and even a bubble dance party kept them entertained the entire time. Everything is thoughtfully designed to support different sensory needs while keeping it super fun and engaging. It's clean, well-organized, and full of exciting activities. My son and family had a blast at Sensory Towne for their Halloween Glow in the Dark Event. The cost was $25 and the event was from 1:00-3:00 p.m. They had character appear (Dinosaur/ Paw Patrol/ Poppy from Trolls/ Mickey Mouse) and dance with the kids. The play gym had so many additional fun rooms with foam blocks, sensory rooms with colorful light, swings and slides. The kids were allowed to run around and had free range throughout the play gym. The owner Kimberly was proactive assisting parents and making sure if they needed anything along with 2 additional assistants. They had drawing stations, painting stations and sticker stations. They had a ton of snacks, candies, goody bags, beverages and chips for the kids. Honestly, my son had a blast and was over joyed. He played, danced and laughed his little heart out. I will definitely be coming back to Sensory Towne for more events. read more

I have been trying to find places where my son can fit in developmentally. Sensory Towne was one of the places found that he thrived in play there. He was around kids similar in size to him, he found he liked the ball pit and wanted to attempt crawling into them, he played with other children, and we participated in music class there. My experience at Sensory Town was very distasteful. The owner (Kim) treated my guess and I terribly, it was embarrassing. She yelled at us as if she was talking to children, at one point told me to "put a pin in it and shut it", she stood on the floor the entire time to "monitor us" as if we were not to be trusted. I have never received such terrible customer service, especially when spending as much money as I did for my son's 1st birthday party. After setting up she even threatened to cancel our party multiple times, I personally would not recommend this place to anyone due to the terrible service provider by the owner. Would have been nice but the money spent was not worth being treated like trash. I wish she would have been the one to give me the initial tour of the place because I would have saved my money. This is a fairly new play space for little kiddos! It's in a non descriptive strip mall off Baymeadows and Phillips ( next to Jax Bread Co) It's dull on the outside but far from it on the inside! All kinds of fun stuff inside...swings, foam pit, slide, toys, interactive video game floor, even a chill room with all kids of cool lights and areas to chill in. (See pics) It's probably geared towards 2-5 year olds, but I think older kids would enjoy too! I took my son here for the first time last week and he had a B L A S T!! It was worth every penny that I spent for those two hours. I really like that this place doesn't have a set schedule, so we could come in anytime during open play day. It's locally owned and the owner runs the place, not just some random teenagers who don't care about the kids. I love how clean it is and the kids don't wear shoes inside the play area. There are plenty of chairs and tables at the waiting area for parents to hang while the kids run around. It's $12/2 hours open play. Their calendar is posted weekly on Facebook and every Wednesday, they have also art class for the kids to play with sand and playdo, making art projects etc. My little one loves the big slide, and pretty much everything else in there. They have a couple of different swings, ball pit areas and many many more fun things. They also offer birthdays and parties with Disney characters, so that's something I'm looking to do for my son's birthday this year. I highly recommend this place and it's definitely worth checking out :) read more

Wasted $52 to visit Sensory Towne today with my three kids, 6 months, 2, and 3.5 years. We had to pay regular sibling price for my 6 month old so that he could use a swing, we also all needed to purchase grippy socks including the baby who cannot walk. Inside there are 6 swings, a slide, and some sensory toys. The "spa" room which is meant to be an inclusive calming room had multiple exposed plugs as well as an exposed surge protector with chords. When I brought this to the attention of the woman working the front desk she shrugged her shoulders and said there wasn't a good solution. Personally, I believe at a sensory center if you can't make something safe you shouldn't do it. Her argument was parents should be watching their children but we all know it only takes a second for a young child to get into something unsafe. Especially considering many children with varying levels of special needs may be visiting and have limited understanding of safety rules. All in all it was a small space that quickly was too crowded with very limited activities and various safety concerns. read more

We have been to several indoor children's gyms in Jacksonville and Sensory Towne is by far our favorite! There are so many fun things for my son to do there. The owner is there often and is so friendly and caring. She made sure to make the facility all inclusive so ANY child can participate and have fun. Activity areas are wheelchair accessible and the changing table is large enough for children with special needs. We will definitely be back often and will most likely end up getting a membership. So the place is fine for a toddler However when I signed up for unlimited the owner explained that really if you go more than twice its worth doing unlimited and that as long as I give notice before the 15th of the month I could cancel I wanted to cancel simply bc of distance and also you can't go during birthday parties which seemed to be saturdays when I wanted to go So my daughter verbally tells them on 14th to cancel And we had not been back however I was charged two additional months Then I call and inquired she said I signed a paper that I have EMAIL them This is First I'm hearing of it 90 days later and , 110$ I said well the girl never told my daughter and you can clearly see that we haven't been there coukd I at least get one month refund No maam , you signed a paper blah blah and got real nasty real quick So they should make their customers aware of their stringent contracts read more

Just recently had my son's first birthday party here (one in a minion). The place blew me away! The staff were very nice and understanding. they even allowed my children to play before our party slot. The manger also allowed my late parents to still come in and sing happy birthday to my son with out filling out a waiver, just as a favor to me. all and all we had a great party every parent I asked had a great time and loved how kid friendly it was. next time though I will be paying for an extra 30mins (buffer time for late folks) lol. read more

We had the opportunity to go with our 2-year-old grandson to Sensory Towne for the first time recently. He thoroughly enjoyed it! I found the entire place welcoming, clean, well thought out, and organized. Everyone seemed to be having a lot of fun (parents and grandparents included)! It was not chaotic and overly loud like other children's places I've been over the years. They had a good variety of things to keep the children entertained and spread out but also had opportunities for them to socialize and make new friends. I brought my 2 and 1/2 year old granddaughter for the Music and Movement class while visiting Jacksonville. The class was great with sing along songs and instruments for the children. I was a little disappointed in a few things that could easily be corrected - there was a ten year old child playing among all the preschoolers and he was really just too active for safe play with the little ones, there were exposed sockets with electronics plugged in at toddler level, and the whole space needed a refresh. I just had my daughter's 3rd birthday here and it was so much fun.. all the kids had a blast, they let you bring your own food (and not just pizza like other places) their staff is also there and they're very helpful. I remember them even telling me to relax and they'll take care of all the little things .. Kim the owner is such a sweetheart .. she was there involved and she made it so easy to plan the day of and in the days leading to the event from what color table cloths you want to how you want the food tables arranged... the party was a success, the kids loved it, and the parents loved it. I seen an advertisement for toddler time. It stated that no child over the age of 2 would be allowed. Which was great cuz my granddaughter is 1. I thought this would be a nice place for her to play indoors. $12.00 10am-noon We were having a slow start in the morning so I called to make sure we could arrive later and was informed that the toddler time was canceled and that there were older children playing as well and that they'd be doing bubbles too. I wasn't too happy that they didn't advise ppl that bought tickets to go. Well we arrived and was informed that parents had to remove their shoes and the children must be barefoot. The floor was too cold and the mgr was walking around wearing sneakers, stepping on the things on the floor that the children would be touching and most likely putting in their mouths. SMH Of course I had to use the bathroom before I left and the hinge on the bathroom door was so tight that if a child was too attempt to go in there they would surely get crushed by the door. This was Not worth $12.00 I overheard the mgr telling a Mom that the birthday parties cost $300!!! Are they serious?! I'll Not be bringing my granddaughter back ever again. read more
