About 2 weeks after I got the repair, the replaced screen cracked. I don't even know how. It must have the lightest bit of pressure I applied to the screen while I was opening the laptop. This place was good when I initially had to bring in in ipad that needed service a couple of times. However, I then brought in my dad's laptop, which contained years of his taxes on the drive, because it wasn't powering on anymore. I expected them to just fix the power issue, but when I opened the computer, there was no more data on the laptop. I brought it back and the tech blamed me for the loss of data saying that I probably tinkered with it and it wiped the drive causing irreversible damage. All I did was turn the laptop on. This place should not be called a "business". The technicians lie regarding what is wrong with the product. Then they misrepresent when the product will be ready for pick up and what the actual charge is. I tried to save money by taking my HP laptop to them instead of Best Buy and after a week of them jerking me around I demanded return of my computer. The manager named 'Aaron' gets involved and literally refuses to return my computer to me despite me wanting to pay what they said I owed. I recently went to the Temple location. My phone was not charging. I was told I needed a new port. Paid $30.00 up front. Told it would take 3 days. After 6 days, I called to check on order status. Still no part. 2 days later, got a call. I waited about an hour while Adam fixed it. Battery seemed to be charging but now I couldn't get a connection or onto Web. I assumed it was because battery needed to be charged. MY BAD!!! I started to pay my $30 balance, now the CC machine is not working? Adam says I have to pay by Venmo. But I was having problems with my phone!!!??? He got me connected to Venmo, I paid AND gave him a $5 cash tip. Next morning, after charging all night, still couldn't make phone calls or get on web. I walked down to Metro, where I purchased the phone and told the manager what happened. He opened it up and said the antenna was damaged and that's why I couldn't get a signal. He believed it was damaged during the repair, since it was functional the previous day. I could have gone back to I-geeks. I chose not to because 1) I'd have to take 2 buses each way (time and money), 2) the store is extremely HOT ( no air conditioner), 3) no place to sit( I have a disability) and 4) I wasn't in the mood to argue with Adam. I knew management would say it was my responsibility to make sure it was working properly before I left. My mistake???? I TRUSTED Adam AND gave him a TIP!!! In retrospect, I should have cancelled the work order when the part wasn't in in 3 days. Even if I lost the $30 deposit. And u know how we are needing that insta gratification, I had to get my lifeline up and running like now! iGeeks was conveniently located near campus in the heart of philly. Was told it would take 30 minutes and was out in 15-20 minutes. Guys were cool and even gave me a little discount when I picked up a new screen protector and case (they sell in store!!!). They were knowledgeable and did not make me feel pressured to buy even though I had planned to anyway. Reasonable prices and seems like a nice little perk with the extra discount given just because I decided to buy the extra items. I brought my phone in for a charging issue. They told me they could not fix it as it was an issue with the mother board. They gave me my phone back with a stolen mother board that could not be activated while keeping my mother board that still has all my personal information on it that was still functional. I only found out when I could not use my phone and had to speak with my phone provider who informed me that my IMEI number had changed on the date that I brought my phone in for repair. The manager was very rude and made it seem as though the issues were partially my fault for not coming back to them a second time. Avoid this place and go to fixit LLC down the street. read more

I walked past after class at Temple University today around 330pm to see if I could get my phone charger port fixed, unfortunately they were closed, doors locked and had a sign in door stating they'd be back soon. I went back at 6pm today, 2 hrs before they close and none of the 3 employees there could repair my phone charging port so I was told to come back tomorrow. I paid $160 dollars to get my phone even more broken then it already was. After they told me it was "fixed," I gladly signed a waiver (in the lost art of cursive) as they reassured me "to come back if anything is wrong" and "we will fix it for free." My screen was repaired, but now my home button was broken (when it worked perfectly before). So now I can take selfies, but can't lock my bank account again with my thumb print. (Which I learned doesn't matter because I don't have any money after my experience with iGeeks.) I went in a few days later because I was told I have 30 days and even recognized the same person as last time. We chit chatted and he asked me if he likes his "store playlist" and I told him "He obviously knows whats good," thinking he did. (THIS IS WHERE THEY GAIN YOUR TRUST, THE MUSIC.) After trying several different ways to fix it, to no end, the repairman was very quick to go into my file and pull up a waiver I signed. I could see the sweat beading down his face, whether it was because of the heat or his scrambling to find an excuse for his mistake. THANK GOD he apologized and said "I think your a cool guy..." (Because I'm paying 160 dollars to be cool right?) He then showed me the waiver and pulled a classic "read the fine print" after already signing it. He showed me on the screen that he can not fix the phone on our own store's dime, because I had already signed a waiver. Finally when leaving, I left I received a phone call from the store. I thought this was their way of apologizing and trying to help out, NOPE... he was just calling to say he forgot to put pieces back in my phone before I left and that he would only be there until 5, so I should come back ASAP. Nelson was EXTREMELY helpful during my visit. I've (unfortunately) been to this location twice before because I'm a clumsy mess and cracked my iPhone 6 and then iPhoneX screen. Both times it was super quick and easy. This time around my screen went black, and my phone wasn't working at all. Nelson right away knew what was wrong and in 30 minutes fixed it good as knew! It's not often that I write a review - but a little while back I took my phone to iGeeks because I put it through the wash.... and they advertised being able to do water damage repair. I didn't have a lot of hope that the phone would be able to be repaired. However, I wanted to give it a shot. iGeeks dried out the phone and told me two days later that there was no chance it would ever come back on. I was desperate to get my data back and they told me I had no chance because it would not turn on. I am glad that I didn't believe them and took it to Eazy computer and iphone repair. They were able to fix my phone and said that iGeeks did not even attempt to replace a broken part on the phone. I would NOT recommend going here for anything more complicated than a broken screen. read more

Cam the manager is THE BEST! I cracked my Samsung Galaxy S7 screen and when I went to other places, they were all asking for $200 and up. At iGeeks, it was $175. He told me they had a screen in stock and he actually put it on hold for me until I came in! He repaired it in 45 minutes, which went by like a breeze because he's super easy to talk to. I didn't think I'd be able to have access to my phone in the very same day, so I'm really pleased with that aspect. You can actually watch your repair get done, and he did a great job. My phone feels like brand new, and I'm really happy with the results. The staff here definitely know what they're doing, have good customer service skills, and have reasonable/affordable prices! If you are somebody that needs an iPhone screen replacement, I strongly advise that you invest the extra money with Apple to get it done properly. I purchased a brand-new iPhone 7 only to have cracked the screen beyond functionality 6 days later. My cracked iPhone 7 was what brought me into iGeeks. When I walked in and explained my situation, I was confidently told that my phone was fixable and shouldn't take any longer than 30 minutes, so I dropped my phone off and came back 30 minutes later. When I returned to pick up my phone the attendant was still working on my phone and explained he was having some difficulties with the repair. He went on to explain that the iPhone 7's are very tricky to fix, and if it's not done properly software issues may be the result. This is an issue he has most likely experienced many while attempting to fix peoples phones. He worked on it for about an hour more before he admitted that the repair would not be successful. At this point he gave me the option of putting on my old screen or paying for the now non-working phone. I choose to get my old cracked screen put back on until halfway through he explained he could try it one last time using another screen. After transferring everything to the new screen he assured me that the software and home button were now working and that the phone was in good shape. Without the attendant assuring me the phone was successfully repaired, I would have not gone through with paying for the service. I have since paid and tried to reboot my phone only to immediately begin experiencing software issues. I can also feel where the screen is not sitting properly on the side of my phone. Overall, I feel uncomfortable to have paid for this level of service. I walked in with a cracked screen and left with a broken phone (That I paid for). The people here do not know how to fix iPhone screens (especially not iPhone 7's) and are willing to use your phone as a personal training exercise. The newer iPhones are becoming much more difficult to successfully fix and require individuals with the proper training and knowledge. If you are someone that has a working iPhone and just needs a new screen, I strongly suggest paying the extra money at Apple for the guaranteed quality of your device. If by an off chance you do end up trying iGeeks out, avoid Frank if you want a working phone at the end. read more

I was in Philadelphia on a business trip when dropped my iPhone 6 on the cement floor. I quickly did a search on the Internet and found igeeks on a whim. I immediately called and asked if I could bring my phone in for a walk in. They were very polite and told me it was no problem. After a quick diagnostic the gentlemen walked me through the process in which my screen needed to be replaced. They were able to get it fixed quickly and I was able to pick up my phone the same day. The service was great from top to bottom. Not only was I able to get my iPhone screen fixed quick on the same day but I even bought a glass protect from the shop cause I've been meaning to get one for cheaper then they sell in the malls ($20)The malls usually try to sell the glass screen protectors for 30 dollars.
