Her prognosis was grim at first, but she is exceeding their expectations and is now on to skilled nursing here at the rehab. I was told it is called TIRR, but nowhere on the building does it state this so don't let that confuse you. The facility is easy to find, parking is a breeze and navigating through the building is simple with everything marked so well. During my visit, I was pleased with the cleanliness, attentiveness, responsiveness and overall room layout. She is in a private room with a private bathroom. I'm not sure if all rooms are private. A schedule is given to the patient each night with what is expected/planned for the next day. The goal is for her (and all patients) to get better and stronger, so I like the planned therapy and for her to know what is expected of her to achieve the results needed. I've heard excellent feedback from other people about this place. Everything I have read and now seen/experienced is A+++. My friend even said the food was good. The Houston Metroplex is home to fantastic healthcare and I think this is another representation to that statement. Anyone going through tough situations like this, my blessings to you. Stay strong.

Care is non-existent or very poor because of lack adequate caring staff. Avoid placing your parent…read morehere. Minimum staffing "only as the state requires". Patients do not receive basic routine care or medication as ordered. I had to report them to the government "DADS" Department of Aging and Disability Sevices Services department to report lack of basic care & nutrition. Unless you go there every day to check in on your loved one, they will be poorly cared for. The facility is not staffed with enough CARING employees to adiquitly a take care of your loved one. Please search and research to find a caring facility other than 'Grace Care'. A good resource to start with is a free website called "A Place for Mom". Also FYI, a written complaint form is available at every nursing home to register a formal complaint. It has to be addressed by the facility by holding a meeting with you within 2 weeks of the complaint being registered. A discussion of the corrections they will make will be signed by you and the facility. You are to be given a copy for your records. You should bring someone with you such as a hospice nurse. You are entitled to have hospice services if your loved one is in declining health. You do not have to wait "until the end is near". Hospice is a great service. They are your extra eyes to make sure your family member is being properly cared for and it's covered by Medicare.

Seasons Hospice which has been great offered 5 days for mom to go to center. I told them I needed a week so I would have to pay for 4 days. Which all good with that. $824. For 4 days no big deal. Fast forward to unlimited calls to my cell phone at roaming charges on a ship. Mom was hungry, nurse aid from hospice found her laying in wet bed once ask for lady to change bed, she laid sheets on bed. Then two days later my daughter witnessed same exact thing. Then mom ask for some coffee was told she had to go to dinning room. Was told she had not had her meds as our nurse from hospice had left for her. Her blood pressure was 186/100 when we got her home. Again meds not given for blood pressure. Again you ask how I know meds were not given I counted pills before turning them over to them and then when I got in car. I go to take mom home and they offer a wheel chair, it has a plastic cushion in seat I lift it up and OMG it had food from weeks and weeks in the seat. I have been told sheets were changed twice only when bed was wet. Her clothes were balled up in drawer with clean clothes. This is only to list a few items. I get a call on my cell telling me they forgot her meds then I go today to collect. They say it is liquid morphine. I was told our nurse from hospice ordered it but then another nurse head said no so not sure who ordered it but has moms name on. They kept it which is fine if it is destroyed. I bet not. Fast forward to stories from mom which I weighed as her demented state. But o no after hearing stories from my daughter,grown granddaughter (18), and the care taker. I was sickened at the care my mother got. Not one great moment and in my opinion Totally Fraud! I trusted them with MY mother and they allowed her to fall twice in 8 days! This is unexplainable and wrong on so many levels. I had a great apartment location after moving from the 4th floor (with two dogs) to the first floor. The staff were great, and Doug - the manager - as well, did everything they could do to make the residents comfortable and happy. I realized there were some limitations on what the staff were allowed to do for the residents, so I was fine with that. I've worked in the public for 58 years, as I also know, you will never please everyone. There were often times when things went wrong due to weather, equipment breakdowns, utilities, etc, but nothing ever due to the negligence of the staff or management. Life in business, and in general, is unpredictable, but when you have a corporate office to contend and wait on approval, you can't always get everything done expediently. The staff and management would ALWAYS be there to pitch in and help make things better for the residents. The only thing is, I had to move to another complex due to cost of things at Watercrest that I no longer needed - but, not because I wanted to or due to ANYTHING I didn't like there. I loved it there and wish the place and staff at the place I've moved to was as great as Watercrest. If you are a reasonable and fair person, you will love it there!

He is never professional in appearance or customer service and a big liar! They jack the prices of rent up but don't provide the services they claim are there! When you try to make a complaint to corporate, there is only one person there and she claims we need to send the complaint to her FIRST to review before submitting it! Which means it never gets reported, especially if it's negative! The turnover rate for employees is ridiculous! From the front desk to dining services says a lot about that place! It's sad, they charge so much for rent and take advantage of the seniors there, but never keep their word and it never adds up to services they state they provided! I would NEVER refer anyone here! My sister is currently battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer and went to the ER on August 3, 2026 after coughing up blood multiple times within 24 hours. During her visit, the physician became hostile after learning she had previously filed a complaint about his care. He referenced her complaint, and she reports he made a discriminatory statement toward her. She requested the physician's name so she could properly document her concerns and file a grievance, but staff refused to provide it. She also requested another physician and was told one would not be provided. She left feeling dismissed and distressed and ultimately sought care at another hospital. After reviewing her medical records, we saw they lied on why she left. They said she wanted other medication when they had not even evaluated her yet, not did she asks for any meds. This place is abhorrent!! They know what they are doing is violating patient rights and do not care. They think they are above law and compliance. They always made sure she was getting the meds needed and the care needed. They took time with her. Treated her with dignity and respect. My mom said she enjoyed the time spent with them. She felt the care was what she needed. The only complaint she had was the food, so I did bring her meals, coffee and treats several days. They had a fridge/freezer where I could leave things for her to eat as well. She enjoyed meeting some of the long term residents while there as well. The building is older, but kept clean, which is important. Overall, if my mom needs care in the future, she has expressed she would like to go back there.
