I've been playing at this course for the last couple months with colleagues from work and I've been…read moreimpressed with the quality of the course every week, especially since it's public. It is a challenging course, with each hole bringing its own adventure. There are lots of cool birds and animals (mostly groundhogs) around. In the summer there can be lots of mosquitoes (especially the back 9) so just come prepared. The greens and fairways are very well maintained and always so green. Some of the holes have ball cleaners and there are water buckets scattered throughout the course. They have someone who will come around selling drinks and snacks. The clubhouse has (very clean) bathrooms, a bar, food, and a pro shop. They have nice furniture outside including some fire pits. They also have a putting area near hole 1 for practice and a driving range to the right of the clubhouse. They've been doing some work on the holes during the season, mainly repairing the grass or moving tee spots around. I'm not sure whether pricing is good or not. They have a pretty spacious parking lot.

The facility is well kept inside, the staff stayed busy. They have TVs everywhere so there is absolutely no way you're missing that game. Our waitress was wonderful, kept our drinks full and made sure our orders were good to go. Our area was clean and updated. The food was ok, some items were cold when we got them but otherwise good. we basically picked cedar hill off a list of nearby par 3's. it's owned & operated by the town of…read morestoughton. they have a small clubhouse and pro shop. the course is just okay. most of the fairways are dried up, and a few of the tee boxes had so few blades of grass i probably could have counted them. the greens were nice though, even and not too fast. it'd be nice if they printed a little map of each hole on the scorecard so you know where the green is. the 1st and 9th holes are both dogleg left and you can't see the green, let alone the pin. the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th holes are all parallel to one another, and there's hardly any trees to break them up, so it can be a little hinky. for two of us it was $54 to play all 9 holes with a cart. not too bad, but i'm sure you could find a nicer course in the same ballpark.

What I like are the parquet floors and the big oval chandeliers. The decorations on the tables are very nice too with big dinner plates for the guests. So I would assume it is fair- not bad but nothing spectacular as I did not remember it.I do not recall having to call a Thorny Lea staff as never had any issues. We've hosted many events in the private function rooms, including birthdays, funeral brunches & bridal showers. I've also attended a wedding at Thorny Lea and all I have are good things to say about the food, staff & space. The club takes care of its guests and visitors alike. If you are an outsider, however, you'll surely feel even more like one during the busy seasons when all of the members are on their game and taking over the place they likely call "home" for 5-8 months out of the year.

Parking is not directly at the TPC but after a short bus ride from the Comcast Theatre - we enjoyed a lovely day walking the grounds, enjoying the atmosphere and golf. The course and the grounds were gorgeous, clean and well maintained. You could tell why some of the best golfers in the world come to play in this tournament. Food was pretty standard but i was glad that they had a "meal deal" for MasterCard users as well as turkey sandwich and a vegetarian option. What they will get you on is water - my husband and I could not find one fountain during our entire time at the TPC - so be prepared to pay for it. I also recommend getting there early, even the some of the "lesser" players in this tournament are some of the best in the world. It's one of the few places that you can be less then 5 feet away from Tiger Woods and Bubba Watson. One note about "Tiger" watching - if you plan on doing so, stake out a spot at least 1 hour before he is scheduled to tee off. That is the ONLY way to get a glimpse of him. Then be prepared to walk, walk fast and be surrounded by throngs of other spectators. We were able to keep up with him for about half the round but it got to a certain point where there were so many following him by the time we got to the hole he was on to the next one.
