The beef skewers was not what we expected, but still delicious; beef and toppings prepared inside a pita, there were 4-5 pitas in the basket, so it was more like mini-gyros in a pita, but still good. The prices were good for the size, all our plates were less than 10 EUR each, and the bottle of wine was 12 EUR. Delicious meal, huge menu, pretty restaurant, and very nice outside patio. We ordered 6 and the waiter was shocked saying we'd never manage it! As we waited, we thought maybe we'd ordered too much but we had 4 hours til the restaurant closed so we were in no rush! As it happens, we managed 6 tapas, basket of bread, pudding, a cheeseboard, bottle of wine and liqueur. Don't know what that says about us! We didn't find the portions huge but they were delicious: The fried Lanzarote goats cheese and black pudding with baked strawberry and pepper cream gets a special mention. Staff were really warm, welcoming and funny. We're really glad we chose the old harbour to stay in as it's a lot quieter and with lots of great eateries serving fresh and artistically presented food.

What a breathtaking location, right at the edge of the little beach - when you go there as the tide comes in, it feels like your table may become submerged by the sea! As you will see from my photo, you have to ascend a series of beautifully designed stone and pebble steps to reach the restaurant. It is not very easy to find, but it is located on the right (sea) heading towards Matagorda and before the San Antonia Hotel. In fact it is right next door to a brand new boutique Hotel, Lanis Suites de Luxe, on the main Avienda. The food is nothing special really, but very good all the same, and similar type fare to most restaurants around, but the location is really something special and not to be missed. It would be particularly romantic for dinner on a warm sunny evening. I have also seen parents enjoying a relaxed lunch while their children were equally relaxed and blissfully happy playing on the sandy beach just a step down from their table! Superb setting.

To add insult to injury...we were offered a free nightcap of schnapps ( on presentation of the full bill despite our complaints and disappointment with the overall meal) ...this consisted of the cheapest brand of "Spar" own brand Apple schnapps ....basically flavoured sugar and water! This is a restaurant which generally has a pretty good reputation and is always busy, but to my mind it is now too "touristy" and they have lost the attention to detail and production of fine dining and good quality food. The apple cinnamon cake was excellent and not too sweet. Normally, I wouldn't eat cake for breakfast, but due to sweetness level, we ate it all! The shop has plenty of tables and different nooks to sit in to get work done or enjoy time with friends. Great cozy, friendly environment. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for good coffee in this area.

Being a winery, they had several wines to choose from. We liked the dry white and the sweet dessert wine.

There's an inside and outside area; so if you want to get out of the sun (though there is overhead shade), and you don't like taking in magnificent views, then sure sit inside in the cosiness! But if that IS your thing, pull yourself up a chair on the terrace, and sit back and take it all in. The food is also excellent. I had fresh fish fillet which was so fresh it practically melted in my mouth, with a massive salad, and plate of small gorgeous little potatoes with a side of various sauces.
