Meh - The margaritas are HUGE, but too sweet. The food was meh. The bathrooms were pretty funky - even by Mexican standards (upstairs in a construction zone and smelled poorly). Bill for 4 people for lunch was $72 (pricey by Mexican standards.) read more

The only place near us that had air conditioning during our visit to Malecon on what had to be the hottest day out there. We intended to shop & sight see but it was so damn hot & humid, when the promoter lured us in with A/C. Glad we did go in because we had fun here and we finally werent feeling ripped off. The Micheladas, the oysters & aguachiles were delicious! Honestly the rest of the food we tried was just ok ( unfortunately alot of the cooked items were over cooked.) but the atmosphere and the low pricing made up for it. Water down drinks, overpriced food and horrible service. There's so many great places in Rocky point to visit, please avoid this place at all costs. We visited the Iguana Banana on Thanksgiving Weekend when the Malecon was filled with tourists buying souvenirs and heading out. Joure was a promoter standing outside of the restaurant encouraging us to go in. I'd asked a window washer in town where a good place was to eat that had spicy and mild food options. He'd mentioned this place, so no convincing needed. Our party was me, my wife, 2-year-old daughter, 6-year-old, and 3 teen boys. Everyone is picky lol. The menu had a wide selection for everyone. I went with the garlic shrimp which came with rice, baked potato, and salad. It was really good. Shrimp was fresh right out of the ocean. My son did chicken tenders and fries. He ate it all and he's pretty finicky if it is over-cooked, he won't eat it, etc... The teens did the soup, nachos, and a chicken burrito. My wife did some sort of fish mix and was snacking on the nachos. The food was great. Everyone loved it. My son bought a Iguana Banana sweatshirt. Joure spoke excellent English, made sure to alter the meals to some of my families tastes, and we sat on the second story balcony and watched the cars and tourists walking down the Malcon. Awesome friendly atmosphere, the stairs are steep to get in the bar but worth the effort. Nice place to have a few drinks and converse with friends. I do recommend the piña colada for a smooth delicious cocktail. We ordered a side of guacamole with chips, the guacamole was flavorless. Not worth ordering. Overall very friendly service. read more

This review is pretty much about the Free Breakfast with $5 drink purchase. We didn't order $5 drinks (it was 9:00 AM! for god's sake), only coffee and iced tea. We stopped in because Lulu's Cafe (a place we'd heard about from the locals) down the street was closed (it was Wednesday), we NEEDED caffeine, and one of their street guys (our waiter, it turned out) beckoned. So we hiked up 3 flights of stairs, although we didn't need to, for our caffeine and eventually breakfast. The free breakfasts we ate were better than others we've had. I ordered a chorizo omelette, and it was pretty good, but partner's chorizo and eggs were better. I know this because I happily finished them off. The entrees came with potatoes (delicious), tortillas (excellent again) and refried beans (really meh). $10. Not bad. From this floor, the people watching on the street has GOT to be stellar when the Malecon is jumping. For us, we did a short snooze. Good start to the day! read more

Just as any other place in Puerto Peñasco functions, this restaurant has people on the street hollering at passersby trying to get them inside and upstairs. The actual place and furnishings are dated, cheap plastic, maybe less clean than one would like. While the ocean view from the top terrace is spectacular, we learned soon the service was slow, discombobulated and poor at best. When the (3) servers did show up they were pleasant, and the food was very well presented and tasted great. Fish, chicken, and shrimp tacos came with a plate to sort of make your own. They were good. The butterfly shrimp wrapped in bacon and stuffed with ham was great, even the bit of plated cucumbers, tomatoes, and cooked greens were well cooked and actually seasoned! Will be trying more places in the area but at least the food here is good. Food and server personality gets 5, service and place gets 2. read more

We got pulled into this place and gave it a chance for dinner and for some drinks. The staff managed to forget half our order and 75% of everyone's food was incorrect (over $40 difference in what they brought and what we ordered) and the staff said they could do nothing for us. The food that did make it to our table was terrible and the drinks were mediocre at most. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. This dump doesn't deserve your money. read more

Best tacos in town.. Always consistent and best value for your money compared to some of the other touristy restaurants in rocky point who skimp on the quality of their food! For $16 we got 5 tacos, 2 margaritas, 2 tequila shots, and a beer. Plus the view from the very top deck is amazing! read more

I've never had worse breakfast food. Almost everything was cold. The coffee was instant mix coffee and was terrible. We ordered orange juice and got what I'd guess was Tang? The building was super hot and stuffy, no ventilation or air conditioning. Their beans tasted.. weird. At least they take credit cards but it took the guy 15 minutes to get their machine to work. Me and my fiancé stopped by for breakfast ! My burrito was bomb & my fiancé also liked his chorizo burrito but said it was a big too Oily . Mine was made of carne Asada with beans and cheese . Their lemonade didn't taste fresh however but it was alright . Overall it was pretty good ! read more

Have been coming back to this place ever since we started coming to RP. The first time we went, the second level had nothing except the restrooms. We liked this place. The bacon wrapped shrimp with the pineapple coconut dipping sauce are amazing. The "House" Tequila is very smooth. The view is pretty awesome - it will be even better when the finish the top floor. All in all a fun place to check out !! read more

The view from this place was nice, but the service was terrible. The waiter was constantly commenting how beautiful the women at our table were, which became uncomfortable. The pina colada was not good at all and we waited over an hour for our food. This was especially frustrating since there was only 1 other table there. Horrible experience, will never go back to this place. Seven of us for lunch the other day, only a couple of us had a alcoholic beverage or two, and three of us had al a carte items that were just $5 and $6 each. They charged $2 each for waters which we had five of those. The bill came to $177 US dollars! We added everything up on the ticket at it totaled $104. So how do you think a $73 overcharge is gonna fly and be okay? Buyer beware at this place, you will never find me there, and I will tell everyone I know about this place and our experience. read more
