That's not to say that it isn't a place to stay; just know that nothing is new. There are 5 motel rooms. Not sure if all have the same amenities . . . our room was #4 and had a mini-kitchen - full frig w/freezer; microwave; rangetop; lots of cabinetry but no pots/pans or cooking utencils. The bed was firm (we like that). The bathroom had a shower only - no tub (and that was okay too). We had a tv with cable; no wifi (really not for us). There is a small clean swimming pool on the prmise and the property is on the lake - the views are superb! The caretaker - Vera - was super . . . friendly, helpful and very welcoming (warm and full of smiles). I think $85 was a bit steep; however, it is not cheap to operate or maintain a small family owned business. During our stay we met several Appalachian Trail hikers who were friendly and welcoming to our many questions about their 3 months backpacking on the trail. They too were pleased by the accommodations at the Linden Motel.

The prices are extremely reasonable and best of luck finding a better price. The rooms are clean and good night's rest! We are spending the summer in Monroe NY to be close to surrounding family. The owner banged on the door in the middle of the night claiming that we are using his address as our own personal address which we were not... I was also accused of lying about my brain tumor just to make people but feel bad for me yet my story is All over Google under Rachel Palma parasite.. they had no compassion for my situation and made a very stressful situation a hundred times worse ... They wouldn't listen to reason as we try to explain that we did not use their address for mail but we had to tell people where we were staying... This happened when the new owners took over back before a little before 2018 and I have never gotten over it.... Nobody should ever treat you like that and I hope nobody would support their business since it's reputation is sleazy beyond belief... They cleaned it up a bit we see but their reputation, there's no way to clean that up. I've enclosed pictures of my surgery that I supposedly lied about and never once got an apology

I went for a solo birthday weekend and had to take a mug/robe home with me! Dena even did a very nice and special gesture when she found out it was my birthday. Driving in, we liked how the hotel is tucked away on a hill off the main road. As we pulled up, we were greeted with a beautiful view overlooking the lake and mountains. We were happy to find out our room had that same view, and the hotel also has a large balcony where you can sit and take it all in. Check-in was quick and professional. The older gentleman at the front desk had a rough, sarcastic sense of humor that gave us a laugh. There was also plenty of parking right out front. The room itself was good. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was excellent, the Wi-Fi worked without any issues, and the room was clean with no off smells. The rooms also had a fridge. That said, I do think the hotel as a whole could use a deep cleaning of the carpets. The lobby carpet especially looked worn and could probably be cleaned or replaced. There's a pool which we were glad to have. We met another family staying there and our kids ended up playing together. We also met an elderly couple who told us they come back every year just to relax which says a lot about the atmosphere here. One downside was the housekeeping staff. They were too loud in the hallways and could definitely use some training on being mindful of guests. There's no breakfast but they do offer complimentary coffee along with grab and go goodie bags in the morning with muffins and granola bars. It was a nice gesture but I think even a simple continental breakfast would make this hotel a much stronger value. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The views are the biggest selling point, the room was comfortable and clean, and the atmosphere was relaxing. If you're looking for a reasonably priced place to stay with a great view and don't mind skipping breakfast, this is a solid option.
