A spot that's great for special occasions, and also great for a family meal. While there were no…read moretoddler friendly utensils, they do offer booster seats and the wait staff were absolutely amazing and so patient with our little one. Thanks so much! They offered to split our lobster bisque so we could each have our own. We've also tried their tableside salad and desserts before and enjoyed the shows. My toddler wanted to get a closer look. The ambience is moody with high ceilings, low lighting, and plush seats. There is a constant buzz of conversations around us to provide a bit of intimacy and privacy to our conversations, while also allowing our toddler to be just a bit rowdy without feeling like we are disturbing the other guests. Of the food, I love the mushroom side with the truffle fondue. I wanted to dip everything in it as it was so flavourful and delicious. Complimentary bread with butter and blue cheese butter were offered to start. The brussel sprouts side was also unique with the added pistachios and a crisp for some crunch. The hearty mussels and clams starter were great for a rainy evening. Portion was enough as a meal by itself, too! There is a covered parking lot for those driving. I suggest making reservations as it can be quite busy!

This was my fourth visit to Alta Steak & Fish, and unfortunately, this was also my most…read moredisappointing experience. For my last three visits, we ordered the Tomahawk steak everytime. The first time was amazing--the portion was generous and the steak was cooked really well. The second time wasn't quite as impressive, but still enjoyable. This time, however, the Tomahawk was noticeably below the standard I had experienced before. The doneness wasn't quite right, with quite a bit of over-charred exterior, and there was also a lot more fat than I expected. What I found particularly strange was the way the steak was presented this time. Normally, a Tomahawk has the meat on one side of the bone, but this one seemed to have the meat separated into two sections, almost as if it had been cut through the middle of the steak. It just didn't feel like the Tomahawk I was used to having here. The steak also cooled down very quickly, and once it got cold, the texture became noticeably tougher and less enjoyable. The service was also particularly slow this time. We were seated around 7:30 PM and placed our food and drink orders within about 30 minutes. The drinks came out within roughly 20 minutes, which was reasonable, but we waited almost an hour before the first appetizer finally arrived. Considering it wasn't an especially busy evening, the wait felt quite long. That said, the other dishes were still pretty good. I especially enjoyed the Stuffed Squid appetizer. Overall, I still think Alta is a nice option for a small gathering or dinner with friends. I've enjoyed my previous visits, which is why I keep coming back. I just really hope the Tomahawk can return to the quality it had on my first visit.

It's been awhile since I've been to an Earls. Had a late dinner whilst wifey and I were in the…read morearea. We were greeted by the friendly hostess and seated. The restaurant was dimly lit with Background music playing in the speakers. Very modern classy vibe. Our server asked if we had any specific beverages other than the water we were given that we wanted. We decided to stick with just water as it was late(Monday night). We perused through the menu and both decided to have the taste of tri-cities menu they had going atm. Wifey ordered for appy the crispy chili tofu and I ordered a individual charred corn/avocado dip with tortilla chips. For mains wifey ordered blackened Cajun chicken and I had a deluxe burger. Dessert wifey ordered mini caramelized vanilla cheesecake and i got the mini sticky toffee chocolate pudding. The crispy chili tofu was quite nice, crispy and flavorful. It came with a dipping sauce which i liked but wifey found the tofu was already seasoned enough she opted not to use it. My individual dip was delicious and creamy, well seasoned. Cajun chicken was moist,I found it slightly salter than I like but maybe it's my age? I've been finding lots of things salter than I remember or maybe all you younger ppl like saltiness lol. Wifey also found it a bit salty. My burger was very messy but tasty, crispy bacon within and fresh lettuce. Decent burger. Fries again i found a bit over salted. For dessert the vanilla cheesecake didn't stand out. Pretty standard, tasted fine as vanilla cheesecake goes. The sticky toffee pudding was good. Soft and moist, served a la mode. Both desserts were served with a thin brittle which was very good. My only complaint was the spoon at the establishment seems kinda overly thick or something as it's very hard to scoop up the dessert into it. Made eating the dessert hard and finicky. Over all nice late dinner, decent food and great servers. Very solid in terms of food and service/atmosphere.

From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted with a big smile and made to feel welcome. We were lucky enough to get a comfortable booth in the lounge, where we could relax, enjoy some great food, watch a little baseball, and most importantly, spend some quality time together. The service was excellent, the food was outstanding, and we never once felt rushed. It was exactly the kind of relaxed, enjoyable evening we were hoping for. A big thank you to the entire Earls team for making our date night such a great experience. We'll definitely be back soon!
