This is one of my favourite Kegs in town. Every visit at this location, their staff are incredible. They are fast with your orders, your wine glass is never empty and they are super helpful. Their food is great, nothing to complaint about. My favourite food is the Top Sirloin with fries and their cocktail shrimp. The restaurant decor is beautiful and it is a little dark inside. Loved it

Absolutely delicious! This place never gets old - decent price and impeccable service! Their patio has just the right amount or heating to keep you warm with somewhat beautiful views. My steak wasn't as good but my father in law enjoyed his steak - his steak turned out tender. I wish there was more lobster...still delicious!

The Keg Burnaby is an indulgent experience, the meat is cooked perfectly at the rarity you request (I find this location doesnt over or under do it which is good!) I personally enjoy their prime rib which is tender and decadent and my favourite side is the wild rice. I will say the ambiance was a little bit on the darker side (to the point where the menus are difficult to read) but the staff was nice!

Amazing night at the Keg trying a bit of everything. First of all, the bread is amazing. I don't know how they get it so crispy and fluffy but it's to die for. Calamari was fresh and tasty (didn't seem to be from frozen), escargot was an interesting flavourful appetizer and the crab cakes were on the small side for the price but also fresh. The keg burger was pretty standard, the prime rib was cooked to medium rare perfection, chicken dish was surprisingly delicious and the pork chop special was a delight. Service was decent for a busy night and we got everything we needed.

Great service, our server was attentive and friendly. Spent 4 hours there on a casual business dinner and would come back as it's a great spot to chat, eat and drink. I ordered the salmon with a pistachio crust and it's cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes keeps me coming back. We ordered the chocolate cake with ice cream to share and it's decadent, best way to end the night.

As usual the food is amazing. As soon as I knew we were coming I started craving the wedge salad with blue cheese dressing! Service tonight was exceptional. Our waitress noticed my son got some dressing on his hoodie. She brought him a small container of baking soda to help prevent staining. Needless to say I tipped her well! Tonight was a little loud. We had to almost shout to hear each other. Very busy night despite it being a Wednesday! Not my first time here, this will not be my last!!

My family rarely goes for steak as it's not a thing for us collectively. For myself it's definitely thing I love to indulge in. Stuff happened though and we ended up here for my folk's anniversary. As always, I left wanting to return immediately. The appetizer bread they provide is always a highlight for me. It's always hot and definitely feels like it's very fresh. Their regular butter as well as the special butters they have make it a delicious way to start things off. For my main, I went with the prime rib and a side of mashed potato. The prime rib was just fantastic and was one of the easiest steaks I've ever been able to cut through. I love as well the nice piece of fat left over. I was ready for another serving right afterwards. We had great service overall that night. Our server was great with bringing us bread and butter often. My folks were really happy as well to get some champagne for the occasion. Overall, the Keg still hasn't let me down for what they seek to deliver. I will continue to pine for another nice steak until the day I can return.

I love Keg! The servers at this locations is fabulous. I've come in dressed nicer and also in dri-fit, and with no judgement. This location lighting is darker than most, more family style and a bit dated compared to other locations. Parking can be an issue esp during prime meal times. I've reviewed the other standards, I will note the chicken wings are huge and sauced beautifully with huge chunks of blue cheese and pickled celery.

The Keg is known for their steaks, but they just got a new special menu featuring creative items inspired by 3 Keg staff members. This unique menu introduces 3 items: Viva La Vid cocktail (del maguey vida mezcal, lillet blanc, tomato, basil, lime, pink peppercorn), Bone Marrow (café de paris butter, radish chimichurri, grilled bread), and Grilled Pork Chop (grainy mustard glaze, amarena cherry sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables) From this menu, we ordered: Bone Marrow ($17) is incredibly rich and buttery. The bread that also comes with is grilled to perfection; it had the perfect crunch with the soft, jiggly marrow. I love the creamy texture but felt the flavour could be stronger.

I'm always so torn about The Keg. I love their prime rib and I find myself intensely craving it every now and then. But I also feel most of their other foods are average for the price. That's said, we went recently for Dine Out Vancouver. For $55 I could get my prime rib (my boyfriend opted for a NY strip loin), with shrimp cocktail (plating left a bit to be desired but I guess they had to plate quickly for Dine Out), and a dessert. The mocha ice cream pie was so so good. If you like the Dairy Queen ice cream cake's crunch center, you'll like the bottom of their billy miner pie. Guess we'll see when I will return to the Keg--likely lured by their prime once again :' )

    Prime rib - rare

When I want good prime rib, I come to The Keg. Nothing is ever wrong when I come here but I would expect nothing less from The Keg. Cut was rare and just perfect for me. Tender, juicy and the 14oz was more than enough. The fried onion complemented it very well adding the crunch texture to my meal. Was not too much a fan of the mushroom rice but I wanted to try it. Never a loss when it's The Keg.

Staff are friendly but understaffed. Once the place filled up they were swamped. Signature steamed seafood pot - definitely on the pricey side, but they don't skimp out. Special mention for the presentation. Plenty of goodies including an entire lobster, half a large octopus (tenticle/arm half), snails, oysters, scallops, prawns, and fish balls among others. Basically everything without fish. Served in a large tray (the ones seen at banquet buffets), and everything cooked in broth. This was enough to probably feed 4-5 adults (assuming average appetites). So pretty. Deep fried squid with fries - honestly this dish was meh. Basically exactly what it sounds like. Squid is tempura style. Nothing special. I'd skip this one. Bossam (pork belly wraps) - served with tofu and spicy kimchi and some vegetable (kelp?) as well. They don't really give enough wraps compared to the pork slices. Decent portion size. My friends and I gobbled this up. This place also serves makgeolli (Korean rice wine) for a very reasonable price. Goes well with the food. Overall my friends and I left happy. Wouldn't mind coming back at some point to try some other dishes. Recommended.

For lunch we tried their steak and fries, seafood linguini, calamari, white wine mussels. Considering it is a seafood based restaurant I'd probably would skip the steak and fries next time as the meat was a bit chewy. Favourites was the calamari and mussels for sure! Flavourful and good portions. For happy hour I had the half order of Thai green curry mussels and baja fish taco. Compared to the white wine sauce I enjoyed the Thai green curry and was glad the waiter introduced me to it! Baja fish taco was great too and was nice v to find out they have flour or corn tortilla options. Would definitely come again for happy hour!

This whole experience started off wrong they reservation ended up 30 min late, which these things happened so we weren't put off yet. We finally got seated and the waitress was so apologetic and handed out the menus. Now half the menus were for the brunch service instead of the dinner service. Again it's not a big deal , she took our drink orders and we didn't get those for thirty minutes. Now we're getting put off so it's now an hour past when our original reservation time. We get ignored after the initial seating and only have water and are waiting for drinks. She finally takes our meal order and totally messes that up. Half the table got there mains before the appetizers (after another 30 min). Made another drink order two people didn't receive their drinks after 45 min. Half the food was cold asf . Orders were missing and we essentially had to beg someone to clear the tables we had. By this point it's been 2.5 hrs 1 round of drinks missing food orders and food coming out cold I was done and ready to go. Most of the time if there's a big group of the waitstaff you'd ask what the special occasion was about? Unfortunately that didn't happen ( it was our friends birthday) so at this point the birthday girl was not in a good place and was feeling bad because she wanted to eat here. We at this point requested to talk to management cause the whole situation was out of control and it's clear to me that there was a complete breakdown in the back of the house and the front of the house was not prepared or untrained or understaffed or all of the above. Many of us have worked in the food industry for years so we gave them more than enough grace to get their act together. They failed spectacularly, they did comp parts of the meals and services but that was too little too late. Now when we were leaving we actually bumped into other customers and they had a similar experience as well. All in all I must say that this was by far the worst dining experience I've had in years. I will not be going back anytime soon. I'm not sure what broke down during service and if someone doesn't get disciplinary actions over these issues I'd be very surprised. If you go you've been warned is all I can say
