The problem with this restaurant is the workers. Hate to make this about race but I personally feel extreme prejudice from the Hispanic staff members when I eat at this specific IHOP restaurant. They act very inattentive and seem as if they purposely ignore you if you are not Hispanic. I sure hate to feel this way but I have ate here multiple times and it never fails. Other than that all the workers as a whole get a D- grade point average if I were an observer. I sure wish they would get better staff training and some type of professionalism about themselves. Been coming here forever, never have I needed to walk out of a restaurant. I experienced the worst service! I understand it is New Years Day and they only had 2 cooks and they were backed up. But over an hour wait for 2 omelettes and a kids pancake just to see the table of 6 that was just seated get there food in less than 30min! Decided to drive down the street to Chili's where we ordered a steak, a burger, and a kids burger to have that served to us in less than 20 min and with roughly the same amount of guests. Before even noticing the 4 parties waiting to be seated they walked by multiple times seemingly ignoring us. After about 5 minutes waiting I was seated. The waiters and waitress are very young and are constantly playing around and not waiting their tables. Their was a single mother here with three of her kids waiting a good 30 minutes. As you can tell by my lack of YELP history, I am not big on reviews. But when service is THAT BAD, I can't help but warn the masses. This morning, I went to visit my Mom at a nearby hospital. I wanted to pick up some breakfast for my Dad, who has basically been living at the hospital for 6 weeks taking care of my Mom. Driving in from McKinney, TX...I called this IHOP to put in an order to-go as soon as I passed downtown Dallas on I-35. The man that answered the phone asked me to please hold. We literally drove 20 minutes, made it to the restaurant, waited in line, got seated, and ordered our food while still on hold. We let the waitress know, showing her we were still on hold while we ordered our food with her. All she did was make a gesture motioning to the host at the front, while making a face like she wasn't surprised. No apology was given. Order came out incorrectly as well. WOW! read more
