k, so first of all, they are located within the ghetto mall; 'nuff said! second, their portions seem to have shrunken as prices went up...odd. third, they don't accept groupons as they said they do not have the scanner to scan in the coupons (which I KNOW is not true because I have seen them scanned with the regular scanner at other restaurants & I also know that even if they don't participate in the program, they can STILL accept the groupon but remind us that they won't do it again). They just flat out refused to assist me. fourth, their menus were old so that if you ordered an item that was supposed to provide you 2 but only gave us one, they told us it was an old menu so we had to pay double to get the same. ...having said that, I really do like IHOP's chocolate pancakes & I generally enjoy their pancake syrups, but with little things that can make my visit there a bad experience, I plan on going to other diners and no longer buying IHOP groupons until they get their shit together. read more

Went in for lunch and saw several people waiting for a table. They served 71 when we got there and we had 88. I saw that almost 1/2 of the restaurant had empty tables. When I asked why they were empty I was told that those tables didn't have servers and had to remain empty. That's ridiculous! First and last time to visit there. read more

For an I-Hop, this is where I'll drive the extra couple of miles to eat at! During the holiday 's they are busy but clean and ready especially at the beginnning of the day! Their staff is accomdating and the food is prepared well. Sometimes some of the patrons can be challenging for any normal waitstaff to deal with, but these guys really do step up to the plate! This place is horrible. I use to be an employee here for only 2 weeks and let me tell ya! The kitchen is dirty, they never clean the syrup containers, the dish washers needs repair so all the dishes come out dirty and nasty and management is okay with this. The kitchen staff hardly ever use gloves. Sanitation is horrible, management is horrible. They let the cooks prepare there outside food on the restaurant equipment. I would not advise any with standards to eat here, very unclean habits. They told me when I started that the customers at this location as well as some of my coworkers can be very racist. The only racism I experienced was within. The Hispanic servers literally will refuse to take people of color orders because they said they don't tip. The manager said he's aware there are racist people who work there but all people need jobs. This mindset causes the energy amongst staff and customers to be very dysfunctional. I usually like ihop but never this location again, first my sister ordered the sliver 5 and she got undercooked and cold pancakes then my Grandmother ordered bacon with her food and was very clear that she did not want sausage but got sausage. I understand that weekends are busy but wow do they not know how to manage the place. The started by asking me how many people were in my party and gave me a number. After 30 minutes of waiting they skipped over my number but noticed they were seating bigger parties so I understood but once they started calling parties of two and I was skipped I went to the front to ask. The kid at the front realized I was skipped and seated me right away . Why is it that I had to realize what was going on instead of them managing how to seat their customers. Due to the storms in the city I took my family to an hotel for the night. The kids woke up to want IHOP so I said of course yes. This is due to the fact I love the place growing up. This is the worst IHOP I have ever patronized. I have been to this location before and the service and food was mediocre at best. But my visit on August 7, 2018, was just ridiculous and sad. On this date, my granddaughters chose IHOP (and we had many other choices after shopping at Ford City mall) to have a late lunch. We arrived about 2:30p and waited to be seated. After 10 mins or so, no one had acknowledged us so I had to ask one of the maintenance staff to notify the hostess. Mind you, there were about 4-5 other employees huddled in a booth laughing and talking (who were later found out to all be on the clock!). And the place wasn't even crowded! They were cleaning one half of the restaurant and the patrons were all on the other side in a small area. So after being seated, again no acknowledgement for about 15 mins until I asked a waitress if she was our waitress. She was not and then called another waitress over (she was one of ones I mentioned earlier huddled in a booth with others...and was still there!) She took our order and we didn't see her again for about 20 mins. No silverware, no requested water, no appetizer that was ordered, nothing!! THEN!! We heard an employee yelling and crying in the rear. All the customers were alarmed and continued to hear this woman say say, "...I've been here 5 years! I don't deserve this!" During this time, another waitress came by to buss the table next to ours and I asked her about our order. It's now about 3:30p. I then asked to speak to a manager (Anthony). He wasn't available but would talk to me as soon as he could I was told. About 10 mins later we finally got our food, water and silverware. After we finished eatjng, I finally spoke to the Anthony, after I had to find him. Anthony never really apologized for the ridiculous service and unprofessionalism of his staff but he did credit my bill for the cost of one of our meals ($10.99). Wow, thanks Anthony. For all of the inconvenience and screaming, crying employees my entire bill should have been "on the house." The only reason we didn't leave was because my grandkids really wanted IHOP. DO NOT go to this location in Burbank IL. We went there last night. Waited 35 minutes for the food, and there was NO crowd, even though their excuse as that the kitchen was backed up!!!! The server did not ask if I wanted a side salad which came with the meal. He told me that I DIDNT TELL HIM THAT I WANTED THE SALAD!! They have NO CASH REGISTER. First I health conditions that I am trying to avoid covid-19 so I ordered curbside and I was told that I have to come in to a lobby full of people with no type of distance away.. then the person on the counter says nothing to no one for about ten min and walk away from the front...there is food in no type of warming station just in bags sitting up front for anyone to walk up on and touch. 15 min later she ask names she checks the bags and say mines not ready yet about another 15 min go by so now over 30 min standing in here she ask my name again and go ask in the back they tell her mines been up there she walks back to the front and the bag that was sitting there before I came in she looks at and says it's mines I'm not sure if she knows that this is a food safety issue but she needs to be educated about it... I have been to many Ihops, and I must say that this one at Ford City, is the worst. My family's plates were extremely unacceptable. The staff was nice, I won't deny that, but our eggs were so cold it was like they were on ice, our pancakes were so cold and stiff, the syrup stayed in one spot where you poured it on and it didn't soak through. Everyone knows they make great pancakes and other breakfast foods, but not everyone knows that they also make scrumptious salads and delicious lunch specials. I ate here on my birthday and was treated to a delicious meal for free! It's easy. Just join their birthday club. Try their blueberry pancakes or waffles with strawberries and whipped cream. My server was nice always checked in on me and my friend. So that right there is the only reason that this review got 2 stars. I got the sampler. My hash browns were soggy and tasted old and my bacon was a tad over cooked. My friend got the tilapia dinner and it was dry and he couldn't eat it. Maybe this is a good restaurant and we just came at a bad time and day. MAYBE next time will be better if there is a next time. Sorry!! read more
