***Updated review*** So IHOP regional management contacted me about my last review. They told me that management had been changed and so had most of the cooks and offered me a free meal to come back and try it again. I have to admit I was hesitant because of how bad it had been the last time but... free is free so I went back. Not just once, but 4 more times. The place has greatly improved. The food has gotten much better and so has the service. The food is not gourmet by any stretch of the imagination but I don't think people expect that at an IHOP anyway. The coffee is still not great but that's chain wide and some of their booths need replacing but they now have a very decent breakfast. I can't speak for lunch or dinner because I never go during those meals. I will say that the ham and egg sandwich on sourdough is very good. So go and give this place a try and ask for LaToya. She's a great server. They are definitely better than most of Danville's other breakfast options. ***Original review*** Went there with my wife this morning. We were seated quickly in Tia's section (about the best server they have). We ordered our food and waited over an hour before our omelets came out. My pancakes came about 5 minutes later but my wife's took an additional 20 minutes. Her pancakes were covered in seasoning that they add to the pumpkin pancakes but she ordered regular ones. My omelet was completely falling apart. We asked for the manager, Chad. It took him 15 minutes to come to our table. He gave us a whole $5 off our $28 meal and told us they were slow because someone broke glass on one of their pancake griddles. How that makes an omelet take over an hour to cook I don't have a clue. It wasn't just our table. Our whole section was having the same problem. The manager should've instructed the servers to tell customers about the problem BEFORE they ordered or at least walked around to check on tables without having to be chased down but he obviously isn't fit to run a lemonade stand. We will not be back anytime soon. read more

My meal took at least 30 to 40 minutes to arrive as did my second cup of coffee. The food was good BUT there was a HAIR on my plate of pancakes!!! They need more staff !!! read more

I would give this a negative star but there is not the option for that. My service today started out OK, food came out my biscuits and gravy were cold. I gave them back to the waitress and at which she asked me if I wanted a replacement. I said no we're not going to be here that long. I got up to take my six-year-old daughter to the bathroom and when we got back out of the bathroom, they had taken all of our remaining food and my daughters toy off the table and got rid of it all. At this point, the manager attempted to hand me the bill. We still had food on the table that we were planning on eating. I told him he could just keep that bill for himself. He then found the toy in the trash and washed off real quick with water. I do not recommend this place. read more

Had breakfast in Aug 22, 2024. Seated quickly. The shining star of our visit was our server JOYCE. She greeted our party with a dazzling smile and so upbeat that there was no way we wouldn't have a fantastic day. Food was good, coffee was great. Go eat; ask for Joyce. Tip your server. read more

Manager was rude and obnoxious. Will never eat there again. They have big pictures of specials with tiny writing underneath stating it's only available during specific days and times. I verified with waitress when ordering and was charged double. read more

Went here for breakfast and they weren't busy on a Monday morning. Ordered the pancake combos for all three of us. Vicky was our server and she was quick and friendly. Out drinks stayed full and the food was hot and delicious. Would definitely come back next time we're in town. read more

The only good news is that we were seated quickly on a moderately busy Friday morning. They were not swamped. My husband and I ordered and got cofee. After the 2nd refill of cofee we noticed it was taking too long. We waited 30 minutes and no food. My husband flagged down the waitress and she said she'd check on it. She came back and said 1 minute for my food. I was annoyed but trying to be patient. She comes back and tells us they haven't even started the omlettes. At that point I was so upset that I didn't even want to eat there anymore. In total we waited 40 minutes and left hungry. The waitress offered no apologies which makes me think this is typical for this IHOP. read more

Avoid at all costs unless you want to wait half the day for your food. They were at 50% capacity because of COVID, and it still took forever. Waitress was nowhere in sight, so we had to flag down another waitress to ask about our order after waiting 40 minutes. Never got the second serving of "all you can eat" pancakes, and had to go get the manager just to get our check. Horrible experience. Will not return. read more

Wow! We came not sure what to expect and instead ended up with an awesome experience. First, they take masks and social distancing incredibly seriously, and we really appreciated that. We were seated quickly, and service was superb. I got the pancakes breakfast, kids got speciality pancakes, and the wife got an omelet. Everything was fast, hot and delicious. Went recently for a late lunch. There was hardly anyone dining in but almost every table was littered dirty leftover food, face masks, dirty utensils, plates, cups, etc. The VA health department would have shut this place down. I would advise not eating here. read more

We had a party of 5 and this is probably the best IHOP I have ever been to. Everyone was so polite and friendly. I definitely agree with the most recent review. I had the sirloin tips and eggs breakfast and they were made to perfection. Our waiter, and I'm awful with names, but took all of orders without either writing them down but repeated everyone back spot on without referencing anything. Very bad management experience !! We ordered the Colorado omelet which is advertised to have a reasonable portion of roast beef. The first Omelets had confirmed NO roast beef; the re-made Omelet had only literally a thimble of roast beef. I consumed about 30% of the omelet to find there was no more roast beef in the omelet at all. Returned it to management, she(Adela) refused to refund of make it right siting that I had eaten too much ? really ??. After visually showing and explaining to her the lack of roast beef content (which is what I paid for) the manager(Adela) blatantly refused to make it right nor refund, I admit I got irate and of course the first action was to "CALL THE POLICE"... really ??? As restaurant, you are willing to loose a "valued customer" and risk a possible "BAD" situation over $17 ??... and btw thank you lil "Sista" (Jessica another manager) for suggesting to call the police when IHOP could have just made the situation right from the start. read more

Entered the restaurant with my wife. Another couple entered, and the man could not wear a mask for health purposes. The hostess was notified of the man's health problems. The man was told he could not eat there without a mask. We turned around and left. Will not eat there again! read more

This place is horrible! Every time I decide to give this place another try I kick myself for it! It took us over 30 minutes to get pancakes and eggs. The last time I checked this is what they do, so you would think they would have it down to a science...wrong! What gets me is that they were not busy when we placed our order. What in the blue hell is going on at this IHOP? I love IHOP. Usually. But this is like the slow inbred cousin of IHOPs. First, my wife gets some iced tea drink. Straw? No. Our waitress was nice enough but she had to spend more time yelling at the kitchen for being slow AF than she could take care of the customers. Pancakes came out. Ordered buttermilk pancakes for the wife and chocolate chips pancakes for me. Guess whose pancakes came without chocolate chips? Although that was rectified pretty quickly, they were out of butter. Out of butter? A restaurant chain? How in the Christ do you run out of butter. I noted the previous review about management and couldn't help but notice they still have a posting up front looking for a manager. They better get a miracle worker. We went there for the first time on August 2, 2019 the service was so so to start with then after we got our food we didn't see our waiter again, we heard him ask the waitress to refill our drinks and she refused. When we got ready to pay the waiter was cursing like crazy. A couple of hours later my son got extremely sick thought he had food poisoning no one should ever eat there we will never go back, I have no idea what happened to that IHOP it used to be one of the best places to eat now... no won't ever go back read more
