Fried Catfish, green beans and macaroni and cheese
    Lauren W.

Best food we've had in a while! My husband and I got the fried catfish and pulled chicken sandwich. The macaroni and cheese was excellent. Great southern food, friendly staff and great price for food too! The only thing I would change is more wines by the glass!

    Delicious deviled eggs with pickles.

The food is outstanding, service is amazing and ambiance is welcoming. I'll be back. These people know how to cook and we've it right.

We were anxiously awaiting the reopening of King Cropp at their new location. It was definitely worth the wait! The food is just as excellent as it was at their first location, and the space is larger with more variety for tables/seating arrangements. They have a great patio area that will be so wonderful during the warmer months. If you are a vegetarian (or like me just prefer to eat a lot of vegetables), this is definitely the place to go! The pizza specials included a fully vegetarian, gluten free option, and the macaroni and cheese is vegetarian (as a side or as part of a Mac bowl or other meal). There is a fully vegan entree (tempura sesame cauliflower), as well as a few sides to choose from. On to the details about what we ordered - I had the sparkling Italian white wine and my husband tried the Danvegas cocktail (both excellent). We ordered the fried pickles appetizer which comes with ranch and spiralized carrots/baby greens. I had The Chief (vegetarian Buffalo cauliflower Mac and cheese), and my husband had a half order of jumbo shrimp. We finished with blueberries and cream crème brûlée - it reminded me of the crème brûlée I had in Morocco 10 years ago. It was so good - highly recommended!! We can't wait to go back and try other menu items and specials.

First time at this restaurant and the food was amazing. Very pretty presentation and great service. Nicole was a very attentive server and very friendly. The food was good quality southern cooking at a somewhat fine dining price. But, we have leftovers. Definitely will go back and hopefully it will be cool enough to sit outside. It was a bit noisy inside and very warm. Side note: bell ringing was annoying

There is so much they offer. As far as eating they have Breakfast (smoked salmon bagel!), hot if cold sandwiches (the Jezabel ham!), salads (green ones but I love chicken salad), specialty pizzas (Neapolitan Nod!), and charcuterie boards! Then there is an extensive selection of teas, espresso based drinks, and wines (white, red, or sparking). You can enjoy a glass or a bottle. I've been to my share of coffee shops where the espresso based drinks either tasted burned or were so sugary you feel a diabetic coma upcoming. Not so here. Theirs are perfection with perfect balance of strong and sweet if you like flavors. Then there's a rotating bit of seasonal syrups and house-curated drink options. My favorite is the atmosphere. Couches and comfy large armed chairs, great art, tables outside, what's not to love? The owners take such pride in their shop. They keep it clean, always have a smile and kind word, and make sure their staff has that same spirit. This places puts the best out there for Danville.

The breakfast menu did not have much for me, but I was happy that I settled on a texturally intriguing apple crumble cake and paired it with a contrasting vegetal tea, which came loose leaf and ready to steep. Ok, gonna be a mixed review. I am going to say that I hope I'm back in Danville to try them again…read moreso I can up this rating. I think they have great potential but it depends on what they do with what the customers tell them. I want to commend the manager/owner guy who came out and talked with us. I gave an honest opinion to him directly and will here as well. The restaurant was very clean, and decorated nice. Comfortable! The staff were friendly. Our waitress was precious, bless her very pregnant heart. She was very attentive. We both ordered the 2 egg breakfast, that we upgraded the signature dragonfruit pancake and signature croissant French toast to. I got the chicken sausage links and hash brown casserole. Casserole was ok. Could have been fresher. It was 11:30 and tasted like it was made first thing in the morning, but still edible. I would like it more cheesy. My hubby tasted the base most. I'm just picky with my hash brown casseroles lol. Chicken sausage links were FABULOUS!!! Highly recommend!!! Hubs got the turkey sausage patties and they weren't good. I didn't try them because I don't eat turkey. Both of our eggs were cooked perfectly, mine being over medium and his scrambled. The signature items. I told this exactly to the manager/owner guy. The dragonfruit pancake: the pancake was not good. Idk if they messed the batter up but it tasted/texture was like it wasn't cooked, yet didn't look undercooked. It was just weird, like the recipe was messed up. I hope that is all it was. The dragonfruit compote on top was delightful!!!! It had the potential to be fabulous, just the pancake wasn't it. The signature croissant French toast was good but the middle was not cooked. You could see the wet custard. I think the griddle was too hot. Outside was slightly charred, not too bad, but inside not done. Just need to make sure they are cooked. My mocha latte wasn't mocha. It was a good latte, but zero sweetness or chocolate flavor. The hubs caramel macchiato was warm and dreamy! Again, I see so much potential in the place, just some tweaking and it would be amazing!!!

It was prepared well and tasted good with high quality ingredients. The ordering process could've used work. There was multiple people standing behind the counter and you have no idea who to place your order with. At times the older ladies (I assume the owner or manager) would snap at the younger ones. It was Very unprofessional in front of customers. So for my last trip to holy grounds I got my usual bacon egg and cheese on croissant with mayo and tomato. It comes out falling apart, cheese wasn't melted and no mayo, no tomato which I can forgive and asked them to add it. When it came back it looked even worse. I noticed the cheese was basically kraft singles still half melted. I just couldn't eat it. Kraft singles just don't belong in a restaurant especially when they have good quality meats. Even if you run out of cheese send one of the employees to Walmart grocery right down the street. Sorry to say I won't be going back. Not even for a milkshake.

She banged the counter with her hand I had to get in the line that there was a f*cking line that people had to get behind and I told her I had never heard that before. I was just so shocked at her behavior and it was all I could do to keep myself calm! It's hard to believe people treat paying customers this way! I know she yelled at me for five minutes or more, banging the counter, throwing her arms up in the air, threatening me. Simply amazing.
