Not sure what his issue is, by being in that town, it told me something else that I won't write on here. The food was good, that was the only positive. Usually the service is great here. Not sure what's going on today. The guy we have isn't friendly at all. Acts like we are an inconvenience to him. I had to get his attention to ask for creamer for my coffee and when he brought it, he just slammed it on the table. He was the guy that seats guests. The waitress was busy with an overload of guests. She was super though. I didn't get everything I ordered and neither did my boyfriend. My husband and I decided to go here yesterday (Sunday 2pm) to miss the Church crowd and we did. There was only 3 tables in there with customers. Now we haven't been here but 2 times now and we wanted the chicken fried steak and egg combo. This chicken fried steak is HUGE and come with 2 eggs made of your choice, hash brown and 2 fluffy pancakes for just $12.99. STEAL!! The chicken fried steak is amazing and we order shell scrambled eggs that way we're getting eggs from the shells and not a carton of premix stuff. After sitting a few minutes we watched the table next to us have their waitress help them out with some stuff and then our waitress came and took our drink order. We both asked for water and she then preceded to ask the 3rd table if they wanted refills. No biggie cause that's how ya do it. BUT we watched her deliver that other tables refills and we waited and waited and waited... 10 minutes later, I'm assuming a shift manager came to our table and asked if we needed drinks and I said well yes we ordered water 15 min ago and watched her deliver that other tables drinks. We order our water again and placed our food order from her, not the waitress. She told us that she was the ONLY waitress at the time. Ok first of all that was a LIE. Secondly, even if that was the case the table next to us was finishing eating and so was the 3rd table and we hadn't even ordered food yet so what was this waitress doing?? Water is delivered and the waitress acted like it was just killing her to actually be at work. Chicken fried steak and egg plate and pancakes are delivered, before we could ask anything she disappears quickly. 10 min go by and we finally see her and ask about our missing hash browns. She said they didn't come with them and me being me already had the menu pulled up on my phone and I showed her. We went to the back and quickly came back with our cold hash browns.. look after eating half that chicken fried steak we was full and ready to leave. Getting to go boxes took awhile and then didn't even give us a bag which I got from the other waitress. Lemme just say this, she didn't deserve the rounded up number of a tip I left. Ok. I have to be honest. I'm not much of a go out and eat breakfast guy. But here lately I have been on an egg kick. So ihop is the flavor of the day. I actually like this place. It's got a ton of things to choose from, and though it's not fine dinning, it's got something for everyone. The specialty pancakes are always fun for the kids. They usually have a kid theme from a movie or show. This particular season is the movie " IF ". I love the pablano omelet. It's huge and has so much good flavor. The pancakes are always amazing. Today's server was super awesome. She was helpful and playful with us and it was a good experience. The hours are always great as well 6am - midnigh. Now we all have to remember that this is more like a diner and not a restaurant, so the floor may have straw wrappers and some small spills, this is par for the course in places like this. I went here on a Saturday around 10am and it was fairly busy. We were however seated right away and we were greeted within 5 minutes by our server. I really really wish I could remember her name. She was awesome! I got coffee and the biscuits and gravy and sausages and fruit on the side. Everything was good and the server checked on us often for refills and to see how everything was. She also pointed out a deal for our order that she didn't have to to save us money. I really had a great experience here and would recommend this for breakfast. read more

So this is the first place I have gone to eat in since March 2020. I chose IHOP because I brought my baby with me. There was a wait per usual but it wasn't that long. Some of the staff wear mask and some don't . Some of the patrons had on masks and some didn't . I ordered the Colorado omelette with pancakes and the funny face kids meals. This location used to be great but now it's hit or miss. Today was a miss, my husband ordered the sampler with a over hard egg and I ordered the stuffed French toast combo with over medium eggs & crispy bacon. And we both had coffee and no complaints about the coffee it was a full pot of hot coffee as always and lots of cream & sugar on the table. Our waitress was absentminded and slower than molasses. The bacon that was supposed to be crispy was a limp noodle and my over medium eggs were all scabby and disgusting and my stuffed French toast was refrigerator cold and it was tough as a boot ! Very dissatisfied so just paid out & left a small 10% tip. Not sure if I'll return to that location because it's been bad the last few times. I'd give zero stars if possible. My friends and I came here this morning, thinking this location would be the best rather than in baton rouge. Right off the bat, the hostess is rude. No greeting. Ignored me when I said hi. Anyway, she sat us in a booth right in front of the kitchen door/server POS system. My friends and I are all servers, so everytime we go out to eat, we are sure to leave a large tip. Usually 40-50% of the bill....... JUST A BTW! So... we sat there for 15 minutes with no greeting. We see about 5 servers, passing back and forth in front of our table, comin in and out the kitchen, no one said a word to us. This one server in particular, we kept seeing because (I am assuming) we were in her section. Two other tables right by us got sat 5 mins after we did. I hear that particular server say "I'll be right with you" and I thought she was talking to us, so I said "okay no problem take your time" but she ignored me because she was apparently talking to the new tables that sat after us. Lol. Its crazy that as soon as the other 2 tables were sat, they were greeted by this particular server and gotten drinks. While we're still sitting there confused... Like I said, we are servers, thats why we waited that whole 15 mins. After 15 mins and still not a word said to us, we just left. We ended up going to the College location in Baton Rouge and we literally had drinks and orders in within 1 minute of walking in the restaurant. BECAUSE OF GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Even the hostess was nicer at this location! I am going to assume that particular server, saw my friends and I and immediately didnt want to serve us because we are younger. We are all 20. But she didn't know we were all in the industry ourselves, therefore her tip was going to be probably the best one she got all day. The nice server, Linda, at the College location, got a nice $100 off of my friends and I. Our bill was only $70. So, to that old, bitter, white, red haired server at the Denham location : Don't discriminate. Do your job. You missed your blessing. And to the other employees who passed by us continuously, obviously seeing we sat there for so long without any drinks or anything, you couldve at least stopped by and asked have we been helped. We went here because I got an online (purchased from Facebook) gift code. The staff was friendly enough. I ordered a meal that came with a salad. I didn't get my salad. So I had to ask for it and I got it after my meal came out. I usually CRAVE side salads from restaurants but IHOPs ranch dressing taste like it was out of a bottle not homemade.
