Went to IHOP with my fiancé, and unfortunately, it was a miss. Ambiance was a typical ihop. The service was mid, but the food was the real disappointment. I ordered the sirloin steak tips & eggs with crepes. The crepes were weirdly thick, rubbery, and just not good. As for the "sirloin steak tips"... let's just call it mushrooms with a sprinkle of steak.The whole dish was greasy and underwhelming. My fiancé got the waffle combo, and even that was just... meh. Maybe they were having an off day, who knows. If you want to try your luck, I won't stop you but personally, I won't be going back. read more

PROS: This place was very nice to eat at. The waiter Josh was very polite, and the food was good and came out in a timely matter. They even have a waitlist on Yelp. This place was clean and had loads of parking. CONS: This place opens at 7am which is a tad late. Went here for the first time in 3 years, with a bit of trepidation. Past visits were fine, but a lot of bad press recently for restaurants in general - staffing, service, food quality, etc.. Walked in, immediately greeted, taken to a requested booth. Great job with the tall, clear plastic dividers between booths. Everything was spotlessly clean. Service was prompt and efficient. I generally don't name names, but Lisa was fantastic. Order came out quickly, completely correct, extra toppings for the wife's Swedish Crepes. Generous ingredients in my bacon omelette, hash browns were "perfect". Coffee was hot and tasty. I will agree that prices have jumped in the past year, but the quality and portion size was still very good. Glad we gave it a try. read more

Please visit the Morganville location on Rt. 9N and do not waste your time or entrust your hunger to this location. I'll share more about Morganville's location later in this review. I originally wanted to pick up from Morganville but I couldn't get through and the online order feature wasn't working properly, so I picked up from this raggedy location on Rt 18. I placed a pick up order on Easter Sunday for French Toast. Once I got home it was clear my order was not French Toast but fried bread, the cinnamon egg mixture batter was missing from the "French Toast". I immediately contacted the location to report the mixup. The "manager" confirmed she packed my order and was sure the French Toast was done correctly. Disregarding that I'm calling her back to report the order was not done correctly and that I had fried bread in my hand. She asked if I had "Texas Toast", which has nothing to do with the order NOT being French Toast. The "manager" refused to redo the order or offer a refund because she "packed the order and didn't add powdered sugar as I requested." I reiterated packing and cooking an order are two different events in a restaurant. Basically she didn't give a crap the order was wrong and took zero accountability. I filed a complaint with IHOP corporate offices at www.ihop.com and Joan Boyle, owner of location 4684 sent an email confirming she spoke with her manager and the manager said she packed and prepared the order correctly and will not issue a refund. Not even an offer to redo the order. No solution whatsoever on Easter Sunday or classic food service management. Plain fried bread without cinnamon egg batter mixture is French Toast, who knew? ‍ As promised, more on the Morganville, Rt 9N location: In 2018 my to-go order was not up to what I normally expect of this location and I reached out the store manager. The manager not only replaced the order, in addition offered two free dinners! This was more than generous and unexpected! 1. Cleaner location. 2. Preparation of food is better. 3. Modern decor. 4. Customer satisfaction orientated. 5. Costco, and a lot of other useful retailers in the same plaza. Believe the other reviews here. This is a dingy IHOP and my second option in the area. read more

Even in the state that practically invented diners, IHOP has a place. This IHOP is surprisingly popular, and was mobbed the Sunday we were there. It took awhile to be seated (we were a party of twelve; it was a 20-minute wait), and it took awhile for food to get to us. Friendly service. I went for the Split Decision breakfast ($8.29) - two eggs, two bacon strips, two sausage links, two triangles of French toast, two pancakes - which easily fed me. I especially like their breakfast 2x2x2 for seniors. Their bottomless coffee and pancakes are so good. I would definitely recommend going there again. Was never really a fan of IHOP, preferred their competitor..but the girls wanted to meet there last nite. The overwhelming selection of pancakes,omelettes and even crepes would send any diabetic into shock. I've had their usual breakfast but tried something I've never had there, their banana nutella crepes...3 words!! Oh my goddess!! So bad for me but so good except the guilt this morning is wrecking havoc on my subconscious. Lol I figure eating there once every 10 yrs isn't so bad...if you're on a diet this is not the place to go.. they do have French toast hot chocolate which the girls said was delicious...they also offer more than breakfast, such as sandwiches and dinners. They also have a kids menu. The selection of pancakes and crepes are endless as their omelettes also. You can even build your own platter with eggs, meat and pancakes. Came here for dinner. Service was terrible. When waiter took order, looked at us like we had 10 heads and didn't understand what we were saying. Boyfriend asked for extra gravy for biscuits and gravy, didn't get it. I had eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was so lemony. The last couple of visits here were kinda eh. My partner and I had walked out the second we were seated after noticing a hair strand on our table. After giving this place one last chance, it turned out to be our last. I ordered the breakfast sampler and my hash brown and eggs were so cold and stuck together with little to no seasoning. My toast was very dry and brittle and they rushed us the entire time. The wait staff isn't the worst, but they could honestly do better with who they hire. It's safe to say IHOP represents International House of Pancakes. My advice, only eat that, nothing more, nothing less. Dec 24th around 1am, I came here after doing my last minute Christmas shopping with a friend of mine. As I start to walk up to the place I see the person who's gonna be seating us through the window. Once I finally make it inside, he somehow manages to walk to the other side of the dining area, sits down, and begins a short break. Totally ignoring he had 2 more people that just walked in. A waiter spots us standing there confused, and signals for him to come back to the front. We make our way over to our table and it wasn't long before our waiter comes over to us to take our drink order. It wasn't that busy so he could take his time getting our order right. We review the menu one last time and made our selection. We start with a Chicken Quesadilla as appetizer. Then I ordered a melt sandwiches, spinach and roasted peppers I believe it was. I also got a Fajita Omelet. My friend orders the steak tips. Our drinks come out and I immediately spot something in my drink. The ice cube looked funny. Normally, when you look at an ice cube its supposed to be clear. This ice cube happens to be cloudy. Never seen that in my life. Then my friends straw looked like someone chewed on the straw. I wish I could tell you I was making this up. After waiting and waiting, I said out loud I have a feeling he forgot the appetizer. Shortly he arrives with our main dishes and of course. He forgot the appetizer. He did apologize. I start to eat away at my melt, overall not bad. My only problem, the onion rings were old and not fresh. They were over fried too. I saw my friend put a beef tip in his mouth, and after a few chews later he spit it back out. The texture of the beef was funny. My omelet tasted like someone took cold salsa from chips n salsa and poured it over my omelet. shame on me for not reading salsa was a topping. It didn't represent that in the picture. Haven't been to ihop in over five years. Recently went here with a friend. Not sure what's going on but it's not the same. The hostess has a mean look on her face, as though she's pissed with life. The waitress gave service like she didn't give a damn. The condiments needed to be refilled or replaced. I had to flag down other waitresses to get sugar, extra butter, napkins, and water. We asked for softened butter and was told the microwave is broken. We also needed food trays to take food home. Can the food trays get any smaller!!? The only reason I'm giving this IHOP only 4 stars is due to the spotty service. Not that the waitstaff is bad. But sometimes they go off in the corner to be on their phones or shoot the shit. I came here in the morning around 10 for my dad's birthday breakfast. Luckily we came early enough and only had to wait 10 minutes for a table. The waiter came quickly and brought us the drinks we ordered. However he vanished for a good 10 minutes after that so it took a while for us to actually order. My mom and I ordered a 'make your own omelette' with a hash brown and buttermilk pancakes while my dad ordered the Strawberries and cream crepe without cream. Since there was a bit of rushing took a bit of time for the order to arrive. When my dad got the order, there was cream on his crepes and he wasn't happy and the crepes were quickly exchanged into one without cream. In my opinion the food was average just because I have better at other restaurants. But the food quality is pretty good for suburban NJ. read more

So here goes my first review on Yelp and unfortunately it is not a good one. Was anxious to try the new burgers at IHop after seeing all the publicity over changing their name to IHob. Let me start off by saying that the service was kind of lacking but that is not entirely the fault of the server as she was performing other positions since there was no host, busser (don't want to call them bus boy as it Is too gender specific), or cashier. I wouldn't have been surprised if she was also cooking. So let's talk about the burger. I decided to order the brunch burger with fries. Now I have had this type of burger at other places and really enjoy the egg on the burger. After taking my first bite I had a slightly burnt taste in my mouth and upon inspection of the burger I saw why. In addition to the egg they also add hash browns and I had noticed that the hash browns where way over cooked and thus the culprit behind the burnt taste. Once I ditched the hash browns the burger itself was pretty good. Now you have to ask yourself "would you go back?" To be very honest with you my answer would be I would but I highly doubt it would be for a burger. Overall I felt my experience was incredibly lackluster and is one of the reasons I will rarely be back. read more

So, I know that this is a chain restaurant. I actually had really great experiences eating at IHOP in Miami. But I had a pretty awful experience my last time here. And well, I am never returning again. The waitress was really slow with the order. Then, I received my Caesar salad with the grilled chicken being raw on the inside. I actually cut into it and saw a bit of blood. So, I was really calm about politely asking the waitress to grill the chicken further. She came back 20 minutes later with the same chicken. I cut into it again and saw raw chicken breast. After that, I was too embarrassed and disgusted to ask for another dish. I ended up eating the salad leaves and leaving hungry. A pretty average IHOP that's open 24-7. Not really too much to say here, unfortunately. Me and a large group of friends come here once every month or two for a late night dinner. Service is generally pretty quick, and the food has never come out incorrectly, so that's a plus. The place is kept *generally* clean, though it could use a good carpet cleaning one of these days. Not sure what's up with the bathrooms, but during the winter, the men's room is like a walk-in freezer. Absolutely freezing in there, and I'd imagine the women's room is about the same. Late at night, they don't like to split the bill onto more than one credit card, which can be a serious hassle when you have friends like mine who (for whatever reason) never carry cash when hanging out. Not a huge ordeal for me, since I carry cash, but something to keep in mind. As far as IHOPs go, though, this one is pretty standard. read more
