Originally asked for nuggets but they were out. Tenders seemed a LOT like the gardein variety but were crispy and came with a honey mustard sauce. The coney island dog was ok- the veg dog was a bit rubbery - probably the light life brand? Chili had beans in it and the portion sizes were good. Fries were okay- they were hot and crisp but I am not a huge fan of the fries that have little kernels of batter on them to make them "extra crispy". Overall- a solid option for a quick bite if you are vegetarian and want a LOT of options to choos from. Let's be clear, the food tastes solid and is especially during summer time, satisfying. If we were to rate on food alone that's a great 4 stars but unfortunately there's customer service and ambiance involved. We've driven to Stewart's awaiting curb service a couple times and not been served. We'd just drive away and figure out another meal. The times we did get our order was when we walked or biked to the location. The chili dogs here are scrumptious and onion rings piping hot. A Stewart's Root beer float is a glorious thing when you can order and receive it. Came here recently when my daughter had a hankering for a hot dog. When I Yelped hot dogs in the area, Stewart's was on the list...Place is nice and open and seemed clean. Plenty of tables for sitting.. even if you're just waiting for takeout. I was excited to also try something on their massive menu for myself.. since I'm dabbling in keto... pretty lazy, though...I ordered an omelette with pork roll and Swiss. My daughter ordered her hot dog, a side of fries, and a milkshake. She loved the milkshake and basically finished it before our food was even done lol. The girl who took our order was friendly, but the guys in the back and around.. why so serious? Anyways.. we took our order to go. Got home and were massively disappointed that the one reason we went there, was not in the bag... yup, no hot dog. We love how many vegan options there are here! We got the vegan pizza with mushrooms and spinach and it was so good. The crust was nice and fluffy and everything cooked to perfection! I haven't seen any other Stewart's have any vegan options so we're really thankful for this place. :) BF got our order to go so I'm not sure about the ambiance or service. read more

Furthermore, we tried showing a yelp coupon that you get when you check in and the owner disregarded that and just said we don't take those. I found another place with massive vegan options and I had to get here. They have a good vegan menu with many options for the vegan population. I called before I got there and ordered my food and the server was very helpful. I ordered the Cali Beyond Beef Burger. When I got there I seen they are in a shopping plaza and they have a huge parking lot. I walked in and the food was ready. I was greeted and paid a little over $10 for the burger. When I got home and tried it, the food was very good. All that was missing was ketchup which I had to add. I will be back to try more items. read more

This Stewart's only in North Brunswick NJ is the BEST. Grew up in a Jersey and whenever I visit that area I always stop in for a cal. Cheeseburger or a chili dog with onion rings or fries and of course a Root Beer. Soups are homemade. And delicious. I'm third generation going to Stewart's Talk about clean. Nice to have a local eatery that sells pretty much everything. From fries, chicken nuggets, chicken wings, wraps, pizza, burgers, salads, and even vegan options. The place has plenty of seating inside and outside and is very clean. My only complain is that they should check the orders being placed. Unfortunately, I have placed several orders and they have somehow been messed up. I can understand verbal orders, but online orders should be easy to read and understand. It took them a hour and 40 minutes to get from east Brunswick to south river.The food was cold.I called them and told them.They sent us another order and it only took a half hour.But the sandwiches were skimpy compared to the first order.We gave back the first order as they instructed us to do.The driver called me back to say (with an attitude) the food we returned was hot. Went here today for take out. Ordered hot dogs, grilled chicken wrap that comes with a side and two root beer floats. It came to about $22 and there is a discount if you pay cash instead of a card. Service was pretty fast and we ate outside. Food was good and wrapped and coleslaw were too much for my daughter. Would definitely go again. This restaurant is located right off of Route 18 near the Stop & Shop. The service here is ok because the staff is very friendly and take care of you. Their menu seems to have more variety than they used to at a different location 5 years ago. The price here is average depending on what you get. The taste of the food was very upsetting to me. I ordered a hotdog and the hotdog bun was toasted to the point where the bread was too hard. The chicken parmigiana panini was cooked to the point where the panini was too dry and burnt. We stopped here after seeing their vegan menu in the window. There's plenty of parking. Very clean inside. We were greeted and seated promptly. The employees were nice and made sure we had what we needed the entire visit (water, sauces, the check). The food was really well made! We ordered everything off the vegan menu: Chik'n fat cat, Cali beyond burger with curly fries and a hot dog with onions and relish. Everything was cooked well. Fries were perfectly crispy. New location on Rt.18, Very convenient! I was surprised to see that Stewarts had a lot of choices on their menu, took us a while to make a decision. I dined in with a friend and our experience was a little less enjoyable due to the mediocre service provided by their entire staff of inconsiderate teenagers. We were told to take a seat (with an attitude) any place and someone would bring us menus, and of course the only tables available were dirty and sticky. Our waitress comes over hands us the menus and says she will come back to "wipe up" our table, she returns with a wet rag, wipped around but still leaving the tabletop wet and sticky, she also leaves a pile of used up napkins on the side table next to us which was just annoying... The food came out delicious we shared chili cheese fries, I had the fat Elvis, and she had the stewarts fat cat BUT due to the lack of customer service I doubt I will dine in again.. When I heard a Stewarts was opening in East Brunswick I was happy. But now that I have been there and ordered from there I am Ecstatic! They haven't gotten one thing wrong ever, and every tiny detail is always taken care of. The food is cooked to perfection and your specifications, as well as being seasoned just right! The staff is sharp in their work and kind in their manners. So sweet they are! I love them all! Like, I am a "Waver" I wave and say hi to all the staff and they always smile and wave back even if they are busy. Ok so, The Menu! The Menu is very eclectic and Diner-like, it even has An Entire Vegan Page, some Mexican dishes, some Mediterranean too... like Wow that is thoughtful. When I walked in, my order was waiting in a bag, and the guy instantly asked if I was doing a pick-up. He was friendly, and told me to have a good day. I appreciate that more than a grunt or silence. Chicken cesar wrap -- huge portion of fries. The container was stuffed and there wasn't any empty space in it at all. Blueberry pancakes - 2 very large pancakes. Had a good amount of blueberries, a little in every bite so it was well balanced. Home Fries- supposed to come with green peppers/onions as written on their Menu description, but these seemed like frozen potatoes cooked from the package. Same Stewart's that was on spotswood/Englishtown road just moved to different location. Much better. Brighter and cleaner. Still same great food. I actually ordered 2 hot dogs yum. They still have their root beer and the rest on tap. I hope this does really well. I loved the old location but I hope this one does better. Although not as cozy and homey as the other one, still great food. More space and better servers. Also has more room to do his pizzas. Same great menu with more variety and definitely still does the "fat sandwiches" we all know and love. Awesome. I can't wait to go back even tho its gonna take time getting used to this location. Good food and service! A lot of variety in the menu! The delivery was fast! My favorite food is their hush puppies

Ordered lunch from the one Rt 18 and got the worst service possible. First off, they took over an hour and a half to deliver the food, which obviously was cold when it got here. Then they got my order wrong and was over charged. When I called to tell them about it, I got a rude employee who was a know it all and refused to listen when I said he took the order wrong. Any place that offers an entire menu full of vegan options deserves 5 stars! But not only do vegans get an abundance of items to choose from--everything is absolutely delicious! The vegan chicken fat cat is my favorite meal from the menu. It's filling, delicious, and such a great value for the price. So disappointing. This has been a go to place for us but we had SUCH an unpleasant experience. Could it be a one time thing? I don't think so. We've noticed since they opened a few years ago that the focus of the employees has shifted to delivery orders. I'm glad they found their niche, but the people left eating at the restaurant are bottom of the list in their priorities. Constant stream of employees in and out the front door with delivery orders, leaving the least experienced employees to serve. It was clearly our waiter's first shift ever. The fault lies with management for putting such an inexperienced person on his own. He needed more training. He forget our order (there were two of us, so this was puzzling), forgot the shake, napkins and salad dressing. I went up and asked for a cup of house dressing and he brought a cup of straight up balsamic vinegar. At this point we just wanted to leave. The fries, shake, and salad were all bland, and my companion didn't care for his sandwich either. The waiter's main concern was refilling my mug... four times... which I appreciate, but there's more to a meal than free refills. We won't be returning for a long time. If we do...
