I would like to start by saying the wonderful things about this location. I have been here 2 times and both times it was well staffed. And those team members were FRIENDLY! The location is clean and my order has always come out HOT. So why the 3 star review? 1. My order has not come out correctly either time. What has been correct is that they adjust for my gluten sensitivity!!! What hasn't been correct is the items in my omelette. The 2. The waffle iron was Broken, the register was broken and they were out of the correct sauce for my omelette. Due to covid this restaurant has been closed. And I must say that I've missed the sirloin tips and eggs. When I visited they were busy, I placed a to go order for the sirloin tips and eggs, scrambled with cheese and was surprised to know that 2 pancakes came with the order. I guess I forgot that it came with it since it's been so long since the last time I came here. The inside seating I blocked off with signs, so when the carry out person told me that It'd be a 15 min wait; I went to my car. The food was delicious, held heat well even for the ride home. The tips were juicy, tender and cooked perfectly. The eggs were great, but I did add pepper when I got home but no complaint. The hash browns were fried a little hard but I still ate them. This IHOP is currently not worth coming to. The last 4 times I have been there the service was horrible and the orders were not right. One lady said, "Next time they'll have to wait like everyone else." How can you say that when I placed my order an hour ago? If the wait is over an hour then it shouldn't have been allowed me to place the order. Then they acted like they didn't even have the order. I will add that this same lady is the one yelling at everyone that works there and being a genuine jerk with a bad attitude. I wouldn't work well under those conditions either. The atmosphere is very unprofessional and genuinely ugly. I feel sorry for the young lady working the front counter. She is actually nice. Of course they got my order done in like 15 minutes once I started complaining. But all in all, no manager talked to me, no discount, not apologies....no nothing. Knowing I was upset as the customer who already had the money come out of my account, nothing was done to make me happy about my experience. I placed one order in August and I was called by the DM (voicemail) and never heard back even after I called back. Then heard from the SM who said I would receive a full refund. Still waiting for that refund 2 months later. I will be going somewhere else to get breakfast food in High Point from now one. 4 times is enough. The waitress was kind. The place was empty when we arrived but we had to wait for someone to come sit us. Food was good but the place wasn't clean. I ordered a waffle along with my order and was informed when the rest of the food came out that something was wrong with the waffle batter and may not get one. I was offered nothing to replace the waffle I came there for. As I was checking out the waitress informed me the waffle was now ready and asked if I wanted it to go. I said I wasn't interested in paying for it to go but if it was complimentary I would take it instead of it being thrown away. When the waitress asked the manager, the manager refused. Great Food lousy service. The new Benedict's breakfast thing wasn't good. Bit for the most part their food is great. However they are refusing to sit customer in a huge restaurant that is almost empty because they keep up with the call in orders, or the online orders. And get this, we were actually told this was the reason for our 20 minute wait. Only when I was a little irate did the assistant manager make it right. THREE tables in our section who were sat several minutes AFTER us got drinks and food before we got our drinks (coffee and water, nothing complicated). We were there for over an hour and still didn't have food. We opted to leave as our children were hungry and anxious since it was freezing cold at our table right under a vent. My granddaughter and I were seated promptly and our waitress took our order very quickly. That is where it went wrong. We waited almost an hour for our breakfast to be served and the restaurant was not that busy. The wait staff were standing around waiting on food to be cooked. I finally asked our waitress if they had started on our order yet because if they hadn't we were leaving. She said yes it was being prepared but we still waited over 10 minutes longer and not all of the food was delivered at the same time. We will never go back to this restaurant! What a mess! We went there on a Saturday afternoon around 2 with our 2 young granddaughters. The restaurant was about 25% full but about half more tables had not been cleared. They told us it would be 15 minutes before we were seated even though the restaurant was mostly empty. There were numerous servers, it didn't look like they were low on staff. It took quite a while for us to get our orders taken and the little girls were restless. We wanted waffles but their machine wasn't working. They gave us plastic cups because the dishwasher wasn't working. My husband got a cheese omelette with 3 slices of gold American cheese (not melted) on top. The chicken strips on the kids menu were way over cooked. Time to choose a new breakfast spot! read more

We just moved to the Triad area two weeks ago so we decided to meet my inlaws there for breakfast before they headed back home to NJ. This particular location has a "half open" kitchen in between two dining areas. The bathroom was very clean and our server was very friendly. I forget her name but she was very accommodating and personable. Our meals came out in a timely manner and everything was hot and tasty. I have very positive childhood associations with IHOP, and then as an adult in PA there were always ads for it but not a one within an hour's drive. So to have several nearish to my new house is a blessing. And this location has the friendliest, chattiest servers. Lee (a female Lee, but not a Leigh) steered us right with the lemon-strawberry double dip french toast. And when the kitchen didn't lemon it up to her standards, she gave it another swirl of sauce, rendering the perfect sweet/tart balance. The white chocolate chip raspberry pancakes were also wonderful. And I ordered my hash browns done dark; this was the only IHOP in the Triad to date (been to 2 others in Gboro lately) that actually made them dark to the point of crispness. Yummmmm. read more
