Second trip to Sammy G's in July 2026. Had the fish sandwich- it's good (breading was light). Service was fine - they had a wedding party in the back so they were a little busy. Waitress was delightful. Manager apologized about our wait for food and said he was going to comp our meals - it didn't happen, but then again we weren't expecting it. It's a really nice interior- the booths are comfortable.

Me and my sister grabbed lunch at Sammy G's recently. I've been once before and really liked it. This most recent visit was just okay for me. We started with complimentary rolls, which were good but somewhat basic. They are the same rolls Chick-fil-A used for the chicken minis but without the honey butter. Both of our lunches came with a salad. The Italian dressing was pretty good and unique. It was almost like they mixed ranch and Italian together, so you got this kind of creamy Italian dressing. My sister got the tavern chicken and really enjoyed it. She gets this every time and says it's always great. I ordered the Panther chicken and it was a bit of a miss for me. The chicken was the main issue and I could've just gotten a bad piece. It was pretty tough and I didn't end up finishing it. The mashed potatoes were good but bland. I had to add salt and pepper. The service was good and our waitress was super nice. I'd come back but I'd skip getting a chicken entree.

We went out for a 9-year old's birthday, but more for us than him clearly because there were 5 adults and two children! Ha! He loves calamari so we chose our restaurant based on that one menu item and went from there. It was a large appetizer portion and delicious. We had a wide variety of items-fried shrimp, crabcakes, salmon salad, and a Brisket Dip sandwich. The only complaint with the meal was regarding the Brisket. It was extremely tough and full of gristle and after just 2 or 3 bites it was left. We didn't mention it, maybe we should have, but the waitress really should have asked in my opinion since it was obviously barely touched. It had been a while since we've dined at Sammy G's, but I remember it being a bit livelier and busy. Despite it being a Saturday evening, it was not, which is good if you want to be able to walk right in I think. I'm not sure if it was just an off night or the norm though, as we made a reservation since we had a larger party.

Sammy G's is one of my favorite restaurants and more so a staple. My friends and I come here all the time for the good service, friendly faces, and delicious variations of foods. The drinks never let us down either. It's a place good for celebrations or just a good lunch vibe. Most of all, it's consistent. I never have to worry about whether the food or drinks are going to be right.

Out of four visits, we thoroughly enjoyed three of them, and those are the only visits you need to hear about! Our first visit was an impromptu date night. We were sat in the back room and each ordered a chicken dish with the bacon appetizer. Everything from the beverages to the bread to the app to the entrees to the service was fantastic! Everything was delicious and our server was warm and friendly. My next visit was with three of my girlfriends. Jeff was our server and he is my favorite server at Sammy G's! We got drinks, apps, and entrees. Jeff ensure the timing on each was perfect, made suggestions when asked, and made us feel very welcome! He was also very funny and kept us smiling and entertained the entire visit! The last visit was with two of my girlfriends. The service was on point, the food was absolutely fantastic, and we left feeling full and very content. Despite the one sour visit, Sammy G's deserves all the stars I can give them! We will definitely be back!

We shared app and a meal. Calamari to start, our go to. Very fresh and marinara was so good and not nickel and dimed for another cup. I'm picky about my fries. They can come before or after the meal, as long as they are hot. They listened! They came early- no problem. But they were hot and good! The steak and cheese was good. It was really rich and heavy on the mushroom flavor. Service was impeccable! They had a heavy seafood menu so we plan to return to try that.

The food is amazing, well seasoned and well portioned. When you ask for how to have your steak done, they cook it just right, at least for us when we went. We sat outside so not sure how it is indoor, but at least for us sitting outside, it is well secluded since the seating outside is where you see other people but is where it is spaced out so you have some privacy. Our server is great he makes sure to check in on you and our water is always filled. He is well versed in the menu in terms of food, mixed drinks, and the special of the day (can give you a description of what all is used in the food to entice you).

Great service and good food both times we have eaten here in the last 2 months. The portions are sizable and the entrees come with a large salad. You can also opt for a cup of soup for an upcharge. My daughter really enjoyed the lobster bisque. We stated with the crispy calamari that was served with a tangy lemon aioli. The stuffed flounder, lemon chicken, and the sirloin were all great choices. The back of the restaurant was well lit and wasn't too terribly loud even though there were several large parties around us. We were happy that we were able to hold conversations without having to yell at each other across the table. We will definitely keep Sammy G's in mind for future celebrations.

First time here! I left Ross and was super hungry after shopping for spring clothes. Swing by to grab a bite. I order the teriyaki chicken, came with broccoli red bell peppers and onions topped with a delicious teriyaki sauce. The teriyaki sauce wasn't too sweet at all the veggies were cooked perfectly and the chicken was very tender. The meal also come with a side salad. I got the house salad with ranch, the ranch is delicious not watery or too thick. The salad looks so phenomenal, I honestly didn't take a picture of it. Cause it went straight into my belly lol. I ordered a peach drink top with champagne to quench my thirst. After shopping the adult beverage help me unwind for the rest of the day. For appetizer, I wanted some good old wings, flavor I went with was garlic Parmesan. It was a yasssss for me!! Again the ranch with it bought the wings to a different level. I'm a ranch girl and I appreciate delicious ranch! Server answer all the questions I had and help me pick since there were so many good items on the menu..If your in the area check them out! A plus was no wait for a table on a Sunday after 2pm!

Came here for a quick dinner. Was in the mood for some healthy so I chose one of their salads and added blackened shrimp. It was tasty! The salad came out fresh and had a good portion leaving me with leftovers for later! Our server was friendly and made sure we did not run dry on drinks the entire evening. Inside the light were dimmed for dinner time and the restaurant was clean! Although we didn't get any alcoholic drinks, there is a large bar with several drink selections and a large wine menu Definitely somewhere I would come back to for a quick lunch or a dinner with friends

We were a pretty big group who went for brunch on a Sunday and our server was pretty impressive. She remembered our orders when food was being served and didn't make any mistake when she returned each of our credit cards. I love their bread, sweet and bite size. The Crab Cake Benedict didn't disappoint, quite tasty and fresh. Seafood cravings satisfied. Be careful when driving into the parking lot from the left side facing the restaurant. No one was harmed haha, but a few of us hit the curb since it's hard to see. Not the restaurant's fault!

Attended my husband's work company holiday dinner and our meals were delicious , as always. Sammy G's in one of my favorite High Point restaurants. The staff and service is top notch and they take great care of you. We always leave satisfied and full. Our tables were filled with a few round of appetizers . One of the appetizers that stood out was the Thai shrimp .It's one of my go to apps. It's covered in this creamy Thai sauce & has so much flavor. Some places call it bang bang shrimp. As our main course , I had the crab stuffed flounder. I recommend this dish to anyone who loves seafood and fish in general. This came with sautéed shrimp ,spinach , and asparagus on top, mixed in this creamy sauce . The flounder was very good and the crab really paired well with all of the different flavors and textures in this dish. My husband got the steak and shrimp as dinner .The steak was flavorful and not tough . It paired well with the 2 sides that it came with . We finished off with the tuxedo cake. The marbled cake was very moist & had chocolate ganache with tiny crunched pretzels around it .

The burger was good, messy but good! The tater tots were good as well. The meat inside the quesadilla seemed more like smashburger type hamburger meat rather than actual steak, but again pretty good. Not a whole lot going on with it, wish it had peppers/onions in it as well or as an option to add for more flavor. We would probably not get anything we ordered again but will definitely go back to try another recommendation from Kelley, or even just for an appetizer and a few drinks if she is tending bar.

Our total wait time from sitting down to receiving food was about 21 minutes, which felt reasonable considering drinks and appetizers came out first. The deep fried crab balls were delicious, and the fries were cooked perfectly. For the wings, we tried multiple flavors including Atomic Buffalo, Sweet Chili, Lemon Pepper, Teriyaki, and Jerk. The cook on the wings was excellent -- crispy without being dry. Some flavors stood out more than others depending on personal preference, but the Sweet Chili and Teriyaki were favorites for our table. The ranch was also really good, which definitely matters with wings. Overall, the atmosphere, service, and food made this a fun experience and we'd return again.

We arrived with only 2 other cars in the parking lot, which made us question if they were even open...as it turn out they were, but my wife, and I were the only patrons. We walked in to an unlit foyer, saw some light on in the bar area, so poked our heads in to ask if they were open. The bartender welcomed us and assured us they were, and invited us to seat ourselves. We grabbed seats at a high top, and she brought over the menus and took our drink orders. First thing I noticed was the table tops were not flat, they were wavy and made it very easy to spill your drink, so beware, and be careful where you put your drink down. The menu was pretty standard bar food, burgers, sandwiches, wings and other fried items. I decided to try their build your own burger, an 8oz patty with choice of cheese and toppings. Only side options were fries or hot chips. Food was quick to come out, but again, we were the only people there. The burger was OK, although just a frozen patty, they grilled up, the fries were good, but the portion felt a little small. Overall it was okay, perhaps they're still trying to get thing figured out. The bartender was friendly though. I didn't see a bar menu, but from what I could see they had a fully stocked bar. As we left, we poked our head around to the other side of the building to find a golf simulator, some billiards tables and a few arcade games. Lots of tvs every where though, probably a good place to catch a game.

This location even has a bar! Offering mimosas and coffee cocktails on a Sunday. The place was very clean and Sunday meant a big breakfast crowd. We managed to get seating though straight away. The decor is nice and simple and bright. Our server was nice and attentive, came by several times until we were ready ! Just got coffees to drink, even though they do have specialty coffee drinks. I'm not a big breakfast eater so was glad to see they had other options. I went with lunch for breakfast! I got the amazing chicken souvlaki plate. This is a serious plate of food. Perfectly cooked chicken, pita, Greek salad which is so colorful and fresh, plus you get a side. I got the fries. Which were chunky and fresh and better than most fries I've had. So much food I barely made a dent in it. The tzatziki comes on the side, it was a little runnier than most I've had before, I think I prefer the thicker creamier ones. My friends had the French toast with pecans, which she enjoyed, 2 big pieces of thick toast, with butter. She also got a side of bacon, which was a nice sharing serving . The melted scramble was the other plate we had on the table. Another big portion, the shredded hash browns looked delicious, you get toast and a big eggy, veggie and meaty scramble ! So much food we needed another 3 people really. Food comes out fresh, hot and fairly quickly. Impressive on a busy day. Restrooms are nice and big and smelt nice! Always a good thing! Plenty of parking around the building. The only thing I thought was kinda weird was the set up of the restaurant, kind of a maze, weird entrance, but the food and service were awesome. Will definitely be trying that one in Clemmons soon!

I decided to get those last night, and the fish was two good size thick cod filets, fried and breaded perfectly. The fish was flaky and tender, the remoulade it came with really elevated it, I'm glad it was not plain tartar sauce (gross). The appetizer favorite here is the pulled pork nachos for me, otherwise, we usually just get meals. If I had one small complaint, it's that the tea is usually brewed pretty weak. Magnolia Blue was one of my favorite High Point eateries. Whether I went for weekend brunch or New…read moreYear's Eve dinner, I never had a bad meal there. It closed in early February for what were supposed to be renovations, only to reopen months later with a new name and a new concept, trading slightly upscale Southern for more upscale Italian. In some regards, this makes sense - it fills a void created by the closure of Lulu and Blu - but in other ways, it's a massive gamble. My wife and I went for our anniversary dinner, and while it was an overall pleasant experience, it also made us miss Magnolia. The higher price point is the chief culprit. Otto and Blue offers pastas in the $20s and entrees starting in the $30s, bread and olive oil not included. While we were celebrating an occasion that merited such a splurge, it's hard to imagine the restaurant remaining competitive at those prices once the sheen of newness wears off. Look past that, however, and Otto and Blue shines in both ambiance and service. It's classy without being stuffy, and the dark turquoise tones suit it well. Allison, a Magnolia Blue mainstay, was personable and attentive and provided excellent service throughout the meal. Otto and Blue's menu offers apps, salads, pastas, and entrees. It's predominantly Italian albeit with a few options for the steak-and-potatoes crowd. The dishes range from recognizably classic (rigatoni Bolognese) to conspicuously elevated (halibut piccatta). After mulling over several offerings, we went with the bread service, tagliatelle, and duck cacciatore. The food ranged from fairly good to outstanding. While $9 for bread is a tough pill to swallow, they executed it as well as they possibly could have: a hot, fresh ciabatta with tasty herb butter, olive relish, and a quality olive oil-balsamic combo as accompaniments. The cacciatore boasted a pair of duck legs confit, and while I'm usually no fan of dark meat poultry, these were prepared well with crispy skin and plenty of meat. For a typically hearty dish, the sauce seemed light (and a bit subdued), but that could be a consequence of serving atop polenta (more absorbent) rather than pasta. Speaking of pastas and sauces, the tagliatelle hit a nice balance of creamy and zesty without swimming in its white wine lemon sauce. Surprisingly, the highlight of the meal ended up being the dessert that Otto and Blue kindly offered as an anniversary gift. A scoop of vanilla bean gelato came adorned with a Biscoff cookie, a drizzle of olive oil, and a dash of salt. If salt and especially olive oil on ice cream seem vaguely blasphemous, don't knock it until you try it. Each bite was thoroughly delicious. It's a given that good food doesn't come cheap, but even so, Otto and Blue has no margin for error to justify what it charges. On food alone, it was close but not quite there. However, the overall experience made it worthwhile, and I have no regrets about dining here.

I also had their fireside mule which was a delicious seasonal brunch drink with crown apple and ginger ale and butterscotch schnapps! We also got biscuits and they came out super dry initially but our server got us fresh ones and the fresh ones came out a little undercooked and she took them back without us even asking! The service was impeccable. The chicken and waffles looked delightful as well. The place is very posh and they have parking behind the building and make sure you walk towards the outside of the building towards their ground floor entrance! I'll be back soon!

It feels welcoming, relaxed, and unlike your typical burger place. You can tell this isn't a chain restaurant, it's a place with character. Our server, Hannah, was absolutely fantastic. She greeted us with a smile, knew the menu inside and out, made great recommendations, checked on us throughout the meal, and somehow managed to be attentive without hovering. Great service can make or break an experience, and she absolutely made ours even better. We started with the Brisket Tots, and wow...these are a MUST order. Crispy tater tots covered with tender smoked brisket, creamy beer cheese, scallions, parmesan, and chipotle lime aioli. Every bite was loaded with flavor, and honestly, this appetizer could have been a meal all by itself. The drinks were just as impressive. I started with a perfectly made Manhattan, then switched to a Long Island Iced Tea that was properly strong without tasting overpowering. My husband ordered an Apple Tini, and we even had a funny moment when our drinks almost got switched at the table. We topped it all off by sharing a tequila shot together, making it the perfect way to kick off our date night. For dinner, I ordered the Jam Session Burger, and hubby ordered the Black & Blue Burger. Both burgers were cooked perfectly, juicy, and piled high with fresh toppings. My burger had incredible flavor with bacon, grilled onions, pepper jack cheese, bacon jam, and just the right balance of sweet and savory. Hubby loved the Black & Blue! The portions were incredibly generous. Between the Brisket Tots and our burgers, we were completely stuffed and ended up taking nearly half of our food home. That's always a bonus because lunch the next day was just as good. Before we left, Hannah recommended the Peanut Butter Cheesecake, and I'm so glad I listened. Rich, creamy, decadent, and the perfect ending to an already amazing meal. Everything about this place was on point. The food arrived hot and beautifully presented. The cocktails were excellent. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was fun, and the service never slowed down even though they were busy. My husband even ran into an old coworker while we were there, which made the evening even more memorable. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food and the portion sizes. You can tell they put pride into what they serve, and it shows. Whether you're looking for an amazing burger, smoked brisket, handcrafted cocktails, a casual date night, or just a fun place to unwind after work, Frady's absolutely delivers. We'll definitely be back, and next time we're bringing friends.

We've been a few times but I've been too busy eating to do pictures or a review in the past. Tonight, I had a craving for a good burger and knew Frady's would hook me up. Despite the restaurant being packed, we were seated within a few minutes of arrival, and greeted with a smile. Service was kind and prompt our entire visit. I started off with a glass of whiskey, which is a nice treat since they have a comprehensive and fairly priced list of options. It's a nice way to try something (especially among the allocated options) that you might not have at home. For food, we got the Frady's ultimate cheeseburger and the All-American cheeseburger. Both were huge, served fresh, and fantastic. They really use fresh high-quality meat here and it shows. My wife also had had a side salad which was delicious and fresh, and I enjoyed the perfectly crispy tots. I've never had a disappointing meal here, and continue to recommend it to friends. They could use a larger location (a good problem to have because their popularity is well-earned) but otherwise I have nothing but praise!
