Good food! Nice and filling. Server was a really cool guy and thought it was cool that I'm from Chicago! Food and drinks were very fast.

It took 15 minutes after being seated to be greeted by our server. We placed our order of on pancakes and after over an hour of waiting, we decided to leave. The hostess went see what the hold up was and the server keep making excuses to the customers.they claimed our order was on the window, but the cook said they didn't even start our order. I really have had the best times, EVERY time I eat at HOUMA IHOP!! The food is very good , on time and fresh. The service ALWAYS is so kind to me. Checks up after the food was brought out to me at the right times. Not too loud in the place and honestly all around great experience. I just wanted to give a BIG THANK YOU to the HOUMA location! Let me start off with saying that I've eaten at many IHOPs across this country. I have never run into so many quality issues in the past. Also a very important thing to note, predominantly, I am not one to complain about food or customer service as life is too short and people have bigger problems to deal with. I seldomly consume breakfast, however today having a rather important exam to write and wanting to treat myself on a slightly stressful day I ordered breakfast. Where only 1 out of 5 items that was prepared as advertised/eatable, I feel that other people must also have had or will have similar quality control issues from this particular location. Hence the genesis of this review. 1. The only item that was perfect was the fresh fruit! 2. Coffee was unpalatable (incredibly bitter, was missing the sweet cream or any cream for that matter, and was over sweetened). Unfortunately it was unsalvageable and I had to pour it down the drain. 3. The strawberry milkshake was actually lovely, however the cup was missing 20%-40% of the purchased product. 4. The omelet was over salted and I couldn't eat most of it. 5. Although the crisp on the hashbrowns was on point, they were also heavily salted and I couldn't eat them. I should emphasize that I am a person that generally adds more salt to my food in comparison to most people, for me to make a statement that something is over salted should illustrate to what extent it's over salted. We went here for breakfast. Coffee was ok and breakfast this morning took for ever. Wasn't a good day to be here. First of all they sat us down but had to wait 15 minutes before we got waited on and very short staff. Very busy and NO AIR CONDITION was broken. Talk about a bad experience. Food wasn't hot and not very appetizing. Horrible service and cold food experience. Yes floors dirty and don't ask about bathroom. Just don't even walk in to this place. So I've give this iHop one too many chances. The first time I placed a call in order and they made me wait an excessively long wait because they were short staffed. I was understanding and tried again two weeks ago. I had to wait long and they didn't get my order right. I didn't find out until o got back to my hotel room. This time (08/07/17) they were short staffed and the waitress Michelle was working the entire restaurant. The waitress never came back to say why the order was taking so long or reassure me that the order was even being processed. The manager walked by about 30 minutes later & comes right back with my order. I got back to my room and when I started to drink the lemonade I was disappointed to notice a gnat in the drink. Of course this was after I drank some of the drink. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Disappointed to say the least. read more

Decided to surprise the wife with a nice breakfast out before work. Amber was our server, she was a wonderful young lady and provided great service. THE PROBLEM.. shortly after placing our orders, Hispanic music began to blare from the kitchen area at an extreme volume. Undoubtedly this is completely fine with the manager whom was on duty, if there was one.. never seen anyone that was dressed like one or stuck out as one. Breakfast is supposed to be a peaceful enjoyable time of day. At this IHOP it was hard to determine if it was a juke joint from days past or a breakfast restaurant. Had my food not been delivered when it was, we would have left. Very very disappointed. Won't return.... Hello Waffle House, Mc Donald's or any of the restaurants that are run civilized. read more

I Hop in Thibodaux was a disaster. Service was not good food was average took a long time to get food. Food was cold.

Three things y'all NEED to know about this fabulous IHOP.... 1. First and foremost, ask for Rose. She is a beautiful soul and a darn good server! 2. If you ask nicely, you can get your syrup heated up. Now that you know, there is no excuse to not do it. 3. The cheeseburger is damn good. Skillet fried in its own delicious fat...slice of American cheesefood melted on top, with the most basic of fixings on a nice sweet, plain old bun. Sometimes less is more people, and this is one of those times! Add the plain but delicious French fries and you are golden! Now, I COULD take off a star or two for cleanliness, but I refuse because of the aforementioned three items. Over a year ago we swore we would never enter this IHOP again as the service was terrible. So this evening around 5PM we stopped to give them another chance. WHAT A MISTAKE. We waited about an hour and watched 5 tables seated, served, eat and leave. When our food came out we found it to be cold. Our waitress gave us the opportunity to order something else and was very apologetic and did not charge us. Well I had to use the facilities and walked to the side of the restaurant that was closed and could not stand the odor there. The entire side smelled like musty carpet. WE WILL NOT BE BACK. We regularly eat at the 2 IHOPs on the Mississippi coast and the one at the New Orleans airport and find them to be outstanding. read more

Got here sat down and Joyce was suppose to be out waitress. We ordered drinks and food all at once. Waited for about 10 min for our coffee didn't have any, so we asked Joyce about the coffee. She said it would be right out. Waited about another 10 min asked again, and at that point Joyce decided to throw a fit and explain to us how busy and overworked she was (there were 3 other tables in the whole restaurant) the handed us off to someone else, and service wasn't any better. read more

An egg is an egg. That being said, IHOP has come a long way. Food is better, staff is friendlier. My only Issue with this restaurant, is that the waitresses have to serve food and take money, make change, etc. With no hand washing going on between the two. Good place if it's late at night or you just want to have breakfast. Good pancakes. Under seasoned hash browns. Great bacon. OK wait staff (had one REALLY outstanding waiter a few years ago around Christmas time. Gave him a $50 tip. Over 100% but haven't seen him since) cleanliness isn't the best but it's OK. Meats are frozen (especially the under seasoned country fried steak and pre packaged white sauce) I like the butter pecan syrup tho. That's pretty nice on a short stack. Chicken and waffles are OK. Just need a bigger plate and the honey mustard sucks. And my waffles are always over cooked and hard as a rock. Overall. Good for late nights. Hi, First I would like to say that IHOP is one of my favorite places to go eat. Correction: WAS my favorite place to eat. I am completely and utterly disgusted with the restaurant in Houma. I have tried to give this place a chance countless times. I am not sure if the management is just that bad or if one of the requirements to work at that location you have to be incompetent. Nine out of ten time you have to wait atleast ten to fifteen minutes just to wait for a server to get your drink order. Then another ten minutes for them to bring it to you. Now I know how it is to be a server. I've worked in the restaurant. But every time I go there is barely any customers in there! Last night was the final straw. Once again I waited probably 20 minutes and was never greeted by a server. Once again it was not busy at all. And they handed us a limited menu "for Mardi Gras." Then the everyone at the table behind us sent their food back because everything was cold. We left in disgust and it will be a very slim chance that I ever return to one of your establishments. read more

The waitress was trying to explain to the chef that he prepared the order incorrectly. He was arguing with her that it was correct and she had to tell him exactly how to prepare it even though "it was written on the order", she said!! read more
