Arrived about 10 am. I was seated quickly, my order taken a few minutes later. Ordered the t bone steak with eggy. I asked for no pancakes and they were able to substitute extra eggs for me. My food was out really fast. My eggs were perfectly over medium as ordered. My steak needed only salt to be full of flavor. It was tender and juicy. My only issue was I asked for my bacon crispy but it was overcooked to be on the verge of burnt. Too crumbly and broke into small brittle pieces. I will be more descriptive of the bacon next time lol. I would eat here again. Had a good brunch! read more

We were in Texas for the Junior Olympics and ate here twice. Our pancakes were noticeably smaller the second visit. Also during our second visit, customer service was not nearly as good or fast and the trump supporters yelled out loudly for the entire restaurant on their way out "God bless America! It's an IHOP, no better or worse than the other 80% of IHOPs that you have been to in your lifetime. Does that mean that it's good? Not necessarily, but that doesn't make it bad either. Let's just admit there are 3 reasons why you are at an IHOP. 1) it's 4am and you're life choices have left you with the consequences of you needing to eat - RIGHT NOW - or you will regret it later. This is the best bet in a sea of bad choices. Bring a bottle of ibuprofen with you, the waiter will understand he sees it all the time. You are just about to head home, or head to work, or head home from work, wherever it is, these next few hours will suck. But waffles make it better. 2) you need to feed multiple picky people who complain the the mayo is too spicy at one restaurant, while another hates that the burgers at another because they are not formed in frozen Pattie's or nuggets. Sure it the most corporate menu this side of McDonald's, but nobody is is bitching about everything like they would in a real restaurant, kiddo has the corporately approved funny face pancakes, your dad gets almost the same thing he gets from Cracker Barrel and you don't have to feel like you're in a physical manifestation of Song of the South, most of my food seems to come from scratch, even if it is an headquarters approved recipe. It's hard to find issues with pancakes. 3) You are on the road, the free Eggs and cereal from the hotel tastes like free eggs and cereal from a hotel, or you are not going to pay $25.99 for the egg and two slices of bread meal from the hotel, even if Per diem will cover it. This slice of French Toast can be ordered without looking at the menu and this 30 minutes of silence is what you need to recharge for day 3 of this corporate networking nightmare, or training sessions. Food is usually very good, staff is always super friendly. But one thing I think they lack in is knowing how to cook anything past over easy eggs...unless you specify they will always be runny. Toast is not toasted it is bread. Though its not always the case I've noticed some days all of my food is slightly undercooked and some days its perfect so I think maybe some of the kitchen staff isn't on the same level as others. I travel a lot. I've eaten at more restaurants than I can remember. When they sat me in a booth and I saw how dirty the seat was, I was able to overlook it. After all, I'm eating at IHOP. But when I looked down at my mostly eaten omelet and saw a long black hair sticking out of it, I couldn't overlook that. I didn't demand to see the manager and insist we get our meals for free. After she finally acknowledged us, she was rude and seemed disinterested in doing her job. I ordered the chicken fried steak and have to say it was made just right. My sister ordered the spinach and mushroom omelette. It was like your typical IHOP anywhere you go... we got seated quickly, service was superb, and our food came out in a timely manner. If you haven't tried, get the sugar free syrup :) -The only thing that bothered me was an older gentleman smoking in the table next to us... It was killing me because I can't stand cigarette smoke.
