Meal was ok, but the waitress didn't seem to care that some d-bag's electronic device was bothering everybody.

Wow! I cannot stop talking about this place. It was worth a stop and I definitely will be coming…read moreback here again. The waitress was phenomenal. The seating hostess was kind and they had people moving in and out of there quickly so that you weren't waiting forever. I love that they even had a posted policy that you couldn't linger for 20 minutes after your meal was through so the others could get into the restaurant. They only serve breakfast and brunch, which I love because they specialize. The restaurant is older, but you could tell that they tried to keep it looking nice and the decor adds to the ambiance. We ordered the Cap N' Crunch French Toast and it was fun and delicious. The baguette added the perfect texture and balance. We also ordered the breakfast nachos and the sauces are drinkable! So good! The toppings were fresh and plentiful. We shared two dishes among three people and it was more than enough.

Breakfast comes with two eggs and a choice of meat. I also add on crispy hashbrowns and the waiter was wonderful enough to bring me a homemade raspberry jam. Absolutely wonderful. If you're in Idaho you definitely have to come by and try their French toast. Also the staff was amazing! He represented the company with pride and loved what he was doing. Absolute great with suggestions for things to do places to go in sites to see Texas was fabulous.

I am posting a picture of the partially eaten food, before it got completely devoured. Big thanks to JoVan, our lovely server. I have loved Abracadabras from the first time I ate there. Every time I visit the Idaho Falls area,…read moreI have made it a priority to go. My family has also loved it. Last year, when we came, I noticed on their chalk A-frame, there was a note saying that once your food had arrived, you had 20-25 minutes to eat, and then you needed to leave. I thought it was weird, but I knew they tended to get busy. The food took about an hour to come out, but our experience was still good. This last Tuesday was my last time going there. I have never been treated the way my family and I were. We arrived at around 10 am and went up to the host station. When we got there, the restaurant wasn't that full, and when the host approached us, he asked how many were in our party. The previous night, we had 10 people, so I quickly replied 10. He reacted, surprised, and said, "Ten!" I quickly realized my mistake and said, "Sorry, there are 9". To which he said, "I am sorry, but we can not seat parties with over 8 people." Honestly, I thought he was kidding. It seemed to play into my mistaken party quantity that I had relayed. I then realized he was serious. Again, I looked at the restaurant guests and saw maybe 5-6 parties. After I saw he was serious, he then said, "we are slow, I'll go ask my manager if it would be ok to seat your party." He came back and said, "I'm sorry, but she said that we can't accommodate you." We then suggested that we break up our party and have two tickets to which he readily agreed. As we were being seated, I noticed that one of the groups eating had 9 people. I thought that was strange. But we continued. He sat us at the two tables, and we were given menus. The host and the server were very apologetic, and I do not fault them at all. They were listening to their manager. After a couple of minutes, the host returned and told us that the manager said we had to leave and we could not be served. I looked at him incredulously and said, "Are we being kicked out?" To which he replied, "yes, and that the manager refuses to come out and tell you herself." We demanded to speak with her. She finally came out with her arms crossed and belligerent. She conveyed that she was the only cook and had a line cook that was being trained. When it was pointed out that there was a party of 9 that had been seated, her response was, "they got here first." When questioned asking if a party of 3 and a party of 6 had just come in at the same time, you would seat and serve them, and she said yes. All she needed to do was inform us that they were short staffed or training new employees, and the food may take a little longer to come out. We would have been ok with that. But this manager was perfectly fine with taking money out of her own employees' pockets. By refusing to serve people, she was refusing to allow them to earn tips. Again, the host and other staff were very kind, completely embarrassed by her actions and sympathetic to us. But I am so disgusted by how she treated us that I refuse to return to a place that I have loved for years. If the owners are not aware of her actions, please read your customers' comments. We are not the only ones in the last few months to have bad experiences. If the owners are aware of this, shame on you. Do better. You are losing your client base. Side note: As we were leaving, one of the tables recommended Dixie's Diner. It was just two businesses down. It was delicious, and we were treated how patrons should be treated. I highly recommend Dixie's. Skip Abracadabras.

I heard the other desserts were phenomenal and the steaks were great! - carrot soufflé: highly recommend as a side! Very creamy and tasty and sweet - Gumbo: Louisiana-inspired gumbo with chicken, sausage, & vegetables. It was fine, just had no seasonings which was very confusing for me - Boudin Balls: Our Louisiana-seasoned mixture of pork, Cajun spices, & rice. Served with mustard remoulade sauce. Same as above. Just didn't have the seasonings. A little Tony's would've gone a LONG way - Toasted S'mores Cheesecake: Graham cracker base, smooth chocolate cheesecake, and fluffy marshmallow whipped cream, finished with toasted marshmallow and graham cracker crumbs. Very tasty! Highly recommend this as well

This was our first time to Rib & Chop. We have driven past it and it looked appetizing. I did not…read morerealize it was a chain. The place is clean and updated. Good music. Our booth was right under the speakers so it was a bit loud. I made reservations for our anniversary and specifically called out that it was. Upon arriving the hostess asked how many and she went to seat us. I had to tell her that we had reservations. We were seated right next to the kitchen doors. The server came up pretty quick and wrote his name down on the paper. No comment about our anniversary. He seemed very new to the job. The New Year's Eve menu had blackened gator and I had to try it. When it showed up I was not impressed with presentation of the 5 pieces on the plate. The flavor however was great. Good texture and not chewy. Good win. I ordered the lobster and fillet and my wife got a chicken cobb salad. The waiter had to come back to ask how I wanted my steak. When it was brought out I was very underwhelmed. The lobster tail was in pieces. The fillet was horribly cut and looked like a kid butchered it. The lobster pieces were tough and overall not good. The fillet had good flavor but overcooked. My wife enjoyed her salad. The saving grace was the GM Aaron. He stopped by to ask how everything was an I gave him an honest review. He was very open and with us and I really appreciate his feedback. We will definitely come back to try the regular menu and looking forward to Salmon Wellington around Valentine's Day.
