Sully's has the best burgers I've had in Idaho, in fact ever! Better than Snake Bite by a wide margin and even better than Big Jud's. You gotta get here quick! Ambience: Clean, well decorated, feels like a pub but a clean one. Staff: lovely and lively wait staff, wonderful food for a fair price, good portion sizes generally. Kristina is cheerful and awesome and her Bento cakes are incredible! Well balanced burgers: I keep coming back for the taste and the size of their 1/2lb burger is just right for us hungry boys! The slap yo granny is my favorite!!! It is sweet, savory, a little sour, and spicy from the pickled peppers, the tiniest hint of bitterness from the greens. The sweetness of the blueberry compot balances the spice and fat from the burger rather exceptionally. And the house made pickles are the bomb. Very messy though especially with a beard lol. The best and most balanced burger I have ever had!!! It's so good I've been around 10 times and almost always get the Slap yo granny lol. I'd miss it to much to try anything else. The samurai burger and russian cucumber is great if you want something fresh but not sweet, the humongous fungus is another really good one. Fries: The epitome of a homemade Idaho fry, but not to greasy which I appreciate. The sidewinder fries are epic and my favorite, and the waffle sweet potatoes fries are great as well. Although the $2.50 up-charge I don't love, especially for the size of the fry. For the upcharge I wish you got a little or a lot more. The regular fry is adequately portioned. They have a really well seasoned made in-house fry sauce that is delightfully smoky and sweet, and balances out the fries very nicely. It is one of the best fry sauces I've ever had, and I have had a lot of them. Constructive criticism: For the up-charge on the unique and tasty fries add a few more or lower the charge a bit. It's the only thing that feels a bit scamish as I've walked away several times feeling like I could have had just a few more I would have been satisfied. I'm willing to admit that's a me problem possibly, that being said I'm not a fatty, I'm actually a small dude, so take that for what it's worth. The Men's bathroom needs a couple updates, a divider for the urnal for privacy for the shy guys, and for those of us who don't want to see some crusty private bits walking in the door. And a privacy bar to fill the gap in the stall, of which you can see into the stall right at the person on the lue, in a slightly larger manner than feels safe, especially for children's safety, it not exactly appetizing for how delicious of a restaurant this is. And Extra points awarded for some of the cool shows playing on the tv's, especially The Bob Ross Channel. The parking is adequate but it is downtown and spots do get full so you may have to look around. read more

This place is a hidden gem! We always eat at snakebite when we are in town, but we decided we needed something new and fresh. Sully's did not disappoint. We got a burger, blt, chicken sandwich and the Rachel (Rueben). They were all excellent. We will definitely be back! The only thing that could have been better was the smell of the building when we walked in. We almost left because of the smell. It's an old building and you can smell it when you walk in. First visit. Very nice pub in downtown Idaho Falls, Irish music playing in the background... we went for a late lunch, getting a pastrami sandwich called the Rachael Sammich and a smoked ribeye french dip sammich. We're not into fries of which there were many options, but you could upgrade to a salad, Caesar salad, or soup of the day. The sizes were enormous! We immediately asked for a to go box, and placed half of each sammich into it. The upgraded sides were great, so we ate them all. The soup was clam chowder; first I'd had in years; it was very tasty and a delightfully little spicy. We split the other half sammiches between us; I found the pastrami to be excellent, the french dip good, but nothing to distinguish itself. When a first visit makes us want to come again, that's always a good sign! read more

After a long 11 hour drive we were starving. We decided to stop in and grab a bite to eat. Everyone was warm and welcoming when you walk in the door. My daughter was excited to see they had pool tables available if you got a drink or dined there. That made her day. The waitress was super sweet. She held a pool table for us because she knew my daughter wanted to use it. That was super nice. We ordered burgers and chicken tenders. The burgers are insanely monstrous. I couldnt even finish a quarter of it. They were very good. The fries were slightly disappointing being we are in ID I thought they would be better. Maybe it was the way they were cooked. My daughter enjoyed the chicken tenders. They too were massive and way too much to eat. The portions are very generous here. The prices are reasonable considering portion sizes. We enjoyed our time and food we would definitely come back of we were back in town! read more

This is a funky little place. Feels a little old and dated, but in a historical way, not a bad way. There are numerous screens showing sports, and a large one that showed funny videos, trivia questions, etc. It was fun to talk about the questions before the timer on the screen ran out and it showed the answer. They have mostly burgers and sandwiches, but also steak, salads. I had the "Rachel" which is essentially a Rueben sandwich (pastrami on rye with sauerkraut and thousand island dressing). It was disappointing. They use a much thicker bread than most, and stuffed it with so much pastrami, that it was impossible to pick it up and take a bite without everything falling out, and the bottom slice of bread was soggy. i was never able to get one bite that had pastrami and sauerkraut and bread. I was there to relax and dealing with this big mess was too much work! It was way too much food. I could only finish one half of the sandwich. I noticed lots of other people left with take home containers, so clearly I'm not the only one. I enjoyed a nice peanut butter stout. Service was good. Our waiter checked on us regularly. read more

Have been here twice. The first time was great...hood food, good price, friendly, helpful waitress. Second time, just the other day, sub par food, waitress didn't know the menu at all, and it was way more expensive for an almost identical meal as the first time, telling me she rung things up wrong. Oh boy!!!! my wife and I went there after elections and it was very excellent! The food, the service everything was fantastic most of all when they brought our two burgers out, which was the slap your granny and pastrami burger. The appearance was something out of a favorite bar I used to go to when I was in Germany. The meat was succulent and tender. The pastrami was smoked perfect too. I wasn't too powerful and the french fries were divine they brought out some different sauces to dip in. I do recommend. The blue cheese. I tried a sliver of my wife. Slap your granny burger, and the blueberry complemented that half slab of ground beef so fantastic. We enjoyed playing aTrivia game that was on the television while we waited for our food. I like that comfort of the booth that I sat in. You could actually lean back and feel the padding behind you to sit comfortably. Have been wanting to try Sully's Gastropub for a while and finally made it. Just sorry it took so long! Food was great. My hubby and I split a Rachael with their home cut fries and were very glad we did! We both left food on our plates. The sandwich and fries were both excellent and, to Sully's credit, even got my husband's stamp of approval on the fries. He's been bemoaning the lack of what he considers good french fries, essentially in Idaho. The sandwich stayed hot the entire meal which is unusual. The sandwich was large and made me glad I had not gotten the sandwich on a brioche bun: I would not have gotten my mouth around it. Got to listen to Irish music while we ate but that could have been a little louder for my taste. I didn't count how many televisions were in the area we were seated in but each one had a different show. Only one had close-captioned on, though. The 4 star rating is because the portions we had were way too large for one person and the leftovers would not have re-heated well. Had we each gotten an entree' we would have thrown away the equivalent of one of them. read more

Stopped in at Sully's for dinner while passing thru town. Wife and I had the french dip with the smoked brisket with the spicy mustard. Best french dip we have ever had. Our son had a similar sandwich which included mild peppers. It's the sandwich just below the French dip on the menu. He said his sandwich was better than ours. Fries were crispy and not overcooked. Staff is friendly and met our needs. Great selection of beer and I found a new favorite irish stout, O'hara's. Wife and son enjoyed their chocolate hazelnut porter. read more

I have eaten here twice now and both times the food has been good but not outstanding. One of our party, on our latest visit, ordered the fish and chips and it was previously frozen....Costco style...nothing special. You would expect better from a restaurant like this. My husband and I have been there a few times. Each time I've left super happy! I get the "Slap Yo Granny" burger and the Parmesan garlic fries. Soooooo delicious. My husband likes to try something new each time we visit. We both agree it is our favorite destination. The only reason this wouldn't be five stars is the petty act of charging 50 cents for an extra fry sauce when you are paying $17 for a burger. You know you are going to do it anyway, but then it comes and is only half full! Really? We went in at around 645 on a Friday night and we were seated right away. The service was great. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. We ordered the beer fries for an appetizer. The pickled jalapeños on it were great. I ordered the humongous fungus and my fiance ordered the blueberry compote burger. Both were so good. Cooked perfectly, very moist and flavorful. The Asian pickles on the humongous fungus were so good. I got a salad as my side with the Russian dressing. Salad was fresh and dressing was something new for me, but so so good. The cilantro like ranch that my fiance got was not as flavorful, but still good. The only problem id say that the food wasn't as hot as I'd like it to be. It was warm, but not hot. Overall, we will definitely be going back. read more

I'll first say that the food was very good. Service was alright as well. What was unexpected was the final cost of my meal. I was in Idaho Falls on business and stopped there for lunch. I ordered an iced tea, a patty melt, and requested a side salad to go along with it. I was astonished when I received a $30 bill. I had no alcohol, no dessert and that was one of the most expensive lunches I have ever had whilst working. Luckily I am able to expense my meals when traveling but I would have said something to a manager if it would have been on my own dime (or at that price, gold!) read more

My wife and I have gone here twice and were impressed with how good the food was. The first day, the service was a bit slow, but they had a lot of new staff and faced a good amount of adversity with kegs going empty in the middle of a rush. The server was upfront and honest and was pleasant to see the owner/managers help their staff. The burger I ordered was spot on and the Japanese BBQ sauce with the wings is addicting. The atmosphere is nice and very comfortable with large TV's for sporting events. We did come back a week later (day before St. Patricks Day) and had their specials for the day which was shepherds pie and smoked lamb which were both amazing. If any staff and owners read this, please consider adding the shepherds pie to the daily menu. No ones makes an authentic shepherds pie like yours in Idaho Falls (perfect with a pint of Guinness). The service was a lot quicker the second time we went which tells me the first visit was truly an anomaly. We will definitely be back and one day hopefully conquer the burger challenge there! read more

The staff was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was virtually empty when my dad and I arrived. We were told to sit wherever we wanted. When we arrived all the employees were sitting at a table chatting. It took awhile for the waitress to come and take our order. I ordered the patty melt and my dad ordered the trash can sandwich. My patty melt tasted a little odd when I took the first bite. The bread was not grilled very well so it was kind of soggy. First time here. We went for my birthday - my choice. No disappointment here!!! Our waitress, Shay,was totally wonderful!!! We felt welcomed and comfortable. WITH A SIDE OF LIPGLOSS We have heard some good things about this place so we stopped in. It was a Thursday early evening and there were only 2 other tables. I usually take this as a sign and leave but we slugged on. Had an OK vibe for being an ancient building. Cool pictures on the wall, "the dude abides". The bathroom was a wreck and the smell of urine was potent, didn't mind the soccer game though. Ordered 2 sodas and the special, a smoked ribeye French dip with parm fries. Got half way through my drink and was noticing an aftertaste. Brushed it off and dove into the meal. It was super ok, not good or great just ok. I didn't taste any sort of smoke and it needed a cheese component to blend it all together. Back to my soda. I was struggling to understand what I was tasting so I inspected the mason jar looking glass only to find a coat of pink lipgloss all the way around the rim. I had been drinking from a dirty cup, someone else's cup!!! Now I don't know about industrial dishwashers but I feel like if it's properly cleaned the high temp water would melt lipgloss off. So then the question is, "how far do the cleanliness issues go?" I can't trust a place with my food if they can't clean the dishes. So I point it out to the waitress as I wipe hot pink lipgloss off with a napkin. She gasped and said she was so embarrassed and apologized but that was the end of it. No manager, no explanation, no discounted meal, NOTHING. We paid and left. Sadly we will not be going back. read more
