Our first visit, the food and service, were very good. We started with the chicken fried bacon as an appetizer. It was good cooked just right and not too greasy, but obviously, the bacon has a lot of fat anyway. My wife had the steak sandwich with jalapeños and a side salad in lieu of frys. The salad was big and delicious. She enjoyed the steak sandwich also. I had the stuffed bacon and blue burger. It's rare that I get a hamburger that was cooked as well as this one. It was outstanding, while we were there a couple of regulars came in and ordered the same burger. I had the tangled onion strings in lieu of the frys. The onion strings had more oil left on them than I liked, but overall, they were good. The server also let us taste the home brewed root beer. It is a yeast based root beer and wasn't to our liking. Ohhhhh boy!!!! Brooklyn was our server yesterday and she was on it! Sat down in a cozy booth for two gave us two of their new menus, which are really easy to read . She recommended these Japanese Bushido Chicken as an appetizer and oh my goodness it was great. These little things are so yummy. My wife had her favorite Philly cheese sandwich. I'm telling you if you haven't been here you have got to come and try it out. This is probably the best burger spot in Idaho Falls. Their root beer is homemade in an ice cold mug and the service is fantastic. Brooklyn was spot on with making sure everything was good and attending to her our needs, and not over attentive. Every time we get a server that is just so very friendly. Whatever the owner is doing its working to train great customer service. Really taking the dining experience in this town to another level. Girls night out! Our sever seemed new but did have good recommendations. For appetizers, we tried the sweet and spicy chicken bites - AMAZING!!! and the Pretzel bites with cheese sauce - meh. I thought they were listed as pretzel bites but we got actual soft pretzels...bummer. The cheese sauce was so-so. Several of us got burgers - no complaints from anyone. Plenty of fries to share. Pasta dish was so-so. BUT it was a great atmosphere - we had a large booth, so plenty of room for all of us. The place is surprisingly very spacious inside albeit a very unique layout. Wait staff were all friendly and efficient. Easy the best burger joint in town! Started with the country fried bacon app that comes with country gravy for dippin. Crispy crunchy battered bacon, not sure how it gets better that that. I had a delicious and fresh made BBQ burger. Oldest son had the pulled pork sandwich. And youngest had hand cut hand battered chicken nuggets. It is obvious all the food is fresh made in house including and especially the fries. Lastly if you are into authentic tastes you have to try the Bishop's beer. Hand made yeast brewed root beer. Everything was fantastic and I have only one regret. I wish I would have had room for dessert. I really hope these guys stay true to who they are and keep coming up with new ideas. We recently had dinner here because we were craving a good, juicy, thick hamburger, and what better place to get one than at a specialty burger place, right?! NO! The burgers we were served were AWFUL! Sooo thin, overcooked, and dry! It wasn't any better than something you'd get at Burger King or the likes!! We both ordered their namesake burger, the Bacon and Blue (NOT the stuffed) again, this should be the best of the best, right? NO! When ordering, we asked what temp the burgers were cooked to because we weren't asked what our preference was. Our server said Med. Neither one of us wanted bloody burgers, so we asked for med-well, not knowing how thin the patties were. As soon as they were put down, I could tell how dry they were going to be! Then, the fries were soooo overly salted, I hardly ate mine, and I LOVE a good french fry (who doesn't, right!?). Another personal issue for me is the absolute lack of ADA accessibility this place has.I'll start with the parking lot...the only space with a ramp onto the sidewalk is at the farthest end of the parking, away from the door. But then, once on the sidewalk... you can not get down to the door because there isn't enough clearance on the sidewalk to pass all the posts. A wheelchair, or even a walker, can not fit through the space that's left.Then... there are only steps to get into the front door! Once inside, you end up on a landing of sorts with the only options to any seating being DOWN steps to one dining area, or UP steps to another.All in all, I have no idea how this place has almost 5 stars! That certainly wasn't the case the night we went. If a great burger is what you are craving, there are MUCH better options in town!! read more

When I saw the battered, deep fried bacon appetizer on their menu, I knew I had to try it. The restaurant has a dive bar vibe but clean and with better lighting. Classic rock is played at a reasonable level, so you can have a conversation. Service is friendly, fast, and attentive. The deep fried bacon app has country gravy to dip into, and 6 generous pieces. It was SO GOOD! I got a California burger (Swiss cheese, avocado) and requested grilled onions and thousand island dressing. It was perfect, and if it finds its way onto the menu, you're welcome. Husband had the patty melt and loved it. Perfectly toasted sourdough. Burgers come with house cut fries and fry sauce, also very good, and a good amount of them. Love, love, loved it! Great family owned and run restaurant. I got a pulled pork sandwich called the oinker and it was fabulous. Not only did it taste great, there was so much meat on it that I took home the stuff that fell off and made another sandwich the next day! We also got the deep fried bacon with dipping gravy... OMFG soooooo good, I'm not a pepper fan but I loved the gravy, it was just right. My only suggestion is to put a paper towel or 2 under the deep fried bacon to soak up the oil.
