The French toast was not done.

The French toast was not done. While I was waiting, there was a pregnant waitress talking to the cook for about 20 minutes saying how hungry her and her baby were. Was this a distraction? It did bother me hearing the loud conversation. There didn't appear to be any supervision or management in the restaurant. I waitress did a good job. The waitress said she would give the information to the cook, but doubt that he would actually listen to her. If supervision or management would've talked to me, I probably would not have posted this.

    "Sausage "??

Had breakfast at this IHOP today & was beyond disappointed & felt somewhat embarrassed. I'm embarrassed for the staff that felt it was appropriate to serve this "sausage " ( see photo, that's what they said it was?). But not to mislead anyone when we mentioned the condition of "sausage " & the fact that they didn't have cheesecake topping for the CHEESECAKE maple pancakes (which we weren't made aware of until the CHEESECAKELESS maple pancakes were brought out they did adjust my bill $1.35. So that's the reason I gave 1star (& BECAUSE 0 STARS IS NOT AN OPTION) I could go on about much more that was wrong with this experience but why cause the response from other poor reviews is pretty much a standard answer & doubtful if any real action follows it.

Dirty table and the cups we were brought.

Let me preface this review by saying I believe customer service is just as important as the food. With that said, my family and I traveled to the closest IHOP which is about a 40 minutes drive. We walked in and there was no one there to greet us. We stood there for a good 7 minutes before we were acknowledged. The restaurant had about 3 maybe 4 tables filled with patrons yet the excuse we were given for the wait was "we're very busy". We were seated at a dirty table. He took our drink order. Waiter came back with what I can only describe as to-go cups. You know, the paper cups kids get with a plastic lid on top. The other tables all had glass drinking glasses. He took our order. I specifically ordered a breakfast combo meal but asked for the cinnamon pancakes instead of the buttermilk. Food was brought out within 20 minutes. No real issue there. When we got our bill though I noticed the waiter charged us for 5 meals instead of 4. He had charged us for a cinnamon pancake meal when I had ordered just a substitute for the buttermilk pancakes. Anyway, he did take them off our bill, thankfully with no trouble. But had I not looked at the bill I would have spent an additional $10.00. Be sure to be seated at a clean table and check your bill before handing them your card/cash.

Delicious! Our waitress was excellent! We love the 10% off ages 55 and up discount. The restaurant was clean, the waitress was efficient and personable, the food was prepared to order, made fresh, and absolutely delightful! The coffee carafe just adds to the positive brunch experience!

I am writing this review after having breakfast at our local I-HOP restaurant. The Special this month is 4-" Maple Pumpkin Cheesecake Pancakes Combo for $11.99. Our waitress stated that they were out of the Cheesecake part. We decided to get it anyway. My one friend ordered first ,she got the 4- Maple Pumpkin Pancakes combo-scrambled eggs, 2- sausage links and the hash browns. Then I ordered 2- " Maple Pumpkin Pancakes and combo , 2-sausage links ,scrambled eggs with onions and cheese in the eggs and hash browns with onions in them. our drinks was coffee. our other friend ordered her breakfast different from ours. She asked was there a charge for the extra onions, waitress stated $1.99 . Received our meal and we said to the server that the sausage looked like it had been freezer burn,it was not appetizing at all ,the casing was half off and the shape of it was Strange looking. We did not eat it at all. Received our bill . We had separate bills and we each was charged $3.29 for the coffee ,$ 1.99 for the onions and the cheese I got charged $2.98. My bill was $19.00 plus change . I sent a Picture of the sausage !! Would you eat that ? I will Not go back

Food was served cold and not to order. How do they serve cold pancakes? Chicken fried steak cold and dry. ONLY good thing was the syrup.

The Met has a policy that your server gets to proudly wear a crown if their name is mentioned in a five star review. Love that policy!! Wear it proudly Ashely!! The Met is a unique building downtown Lima. It was built in the late 1880's and was originally home to the The Metropolitan Bank. It has since been morphed into a restaurant with very attractive original features. The wood floors and plaster ceilings...along with the attractive decor really enhance the dinning experience! The team here is very friendly, professional and welcoming. Ashley was outstanding. She hustled, knew her menu and had great recommendations. Ashley was very attentive and helped us enjoy the evening. I appreciated Liz stopping by and welcoming us. Liz shared lots of history and helped us appreciate the facility. The Met has a large food menu that has something for everyone. They have a large selection of beverages and specialty cocktails. All at reasonable prices. We started with a couple of Mule drinks. One was a designer St. Patrick's Day Mule and their specialty Met Mule. Both were very tasty, cool and refreshing . We started with the Focaccia bread appetizer. It had a lightly golden/chewing top with a soft and moist inside. Liz said that they make the bread fresh three times a day. The bread had a slight olive oil taste with a mild amount of Italian herbs. The soft whipped butter was a nice add. The side salad had lots of fresh spring greens. There was a few tasty tomatoes and lots of stronger tasting onions. The thin Parmesan cheese shreds were an excellent touch. The house ranch dressing was very smooth/light/creamy moderately thin with a mild ranch taste. My wife had the chicken bacon ranch flatbread. The crust was thin and crispy. She really liked the ranch house made sauce and how it accented the meat toppings. I had the Met Meatloaf which had an outstanding meat flavor. The meat was made with Italian sausage which had a slightly spicy kick. It was moist and tender to go along the beefy taste. The smooth red sauce on top was slightly sweet & spicy. It accented the meat nicely. The mashed potatoes were real with lumps, eyes and minute peel pieces. Very smooth and delicious! The grilled asparagus had a slight crisp to go along with the tender stalk. Not much seasoning detected...just a nice olive oil taste. Overall a fantastic dinner experience. We sat street level and watched the pedestrians come & go while enjoying the decor of this unique facility! The menu is large and the food and drinks are outstanding. A special trip to The Met in downtown Lima is worth a try!

We arrived at 11:30 and left at 2. They were nice to let us linger. Everything we had was terrific. Soups are made in-house. I'm thinking most all things on the very large menu were probably very good. They seem to care about the details. We also shared some ice cream cookie sundae concoction that was 5*. Metered parking on the street and there was a free lot but it was full. Meters were $2 for two hours. Nice staff and there were no staff shortages! Lilly our server was perfect. If we pass through again we will stop in! The bar area is exquisite.

I started with a gummy bear cocktail, which was just like drinking a strawberry Jolly Rancher. Then my date & I were served toasted ravioli as our appetizer... they were perfect! Crispy on the outside, soft & tasy on the inside. The marinara complimented the ricotta and breaded pasta well. For my meal, I had some yummy fried shrimp with cocktail sauce. I was very pleased. My curly fried potato wedges (don't call them curly fries!) were crisp on the outside & soft inside. I really enjoyed them. My side of fruit & side salad with balsamic vinaigrette were fine, neither great nor terrible. My fiancé had some delicious chili, though it was cold when served. Out waitress obliged our request to reheat it & when it came back out, it was just right. The cornbread was moist, sweet, and "cakey." I'm from North Carolina &, let me just say, the cornbread was some of the best I've had in ages. The chicken sandwich was good. We ordered some cinnamon caramel pretzel bites (like cinnamon sugar balls) to go & I can attest that they didn't last long the next day when they were warmed up. Overall, this was a nice meal in a quaint Ohio downtown. Should we return to Lima, we'll stop in at 318 again!
