IHOP's value has been declining for some time and this place is helping it decline. There were 7 other people in the whole place when 8 of us walked in. They were quickly overwhelmed. I don't know how any "Pancake House" can serve cold pancakes, but they sure did. By the time I saw the waiter again, I was too irritated to eat anything else. Giving two stars instead of one due to the lady that actually took care of me when I came back this morning after ordering to go last night and almost dying. I am severely allergic to mushrooms. I ordered steak tips to go with eggs and very precisely stated my allergy. When back at my hotel, I found mushrooms in my food. Luckily I caught it prior to eating. I called explained the situation, and she stated I had to take it up with the manager in the morning. After going back, the lady manager there made sure I was taken care of and she deserves 5 stars. She asked for my receipt which I couldn't find right away, so I pulled up the card transaction on my phone. Now I usually do not tip on to go orders, but since the restaurant looked slow at midnight, I gave the waitress Lisa a $2 cash tip before I took my order and I made sure to cross out the tip line on my card receipt and put the amount for food which was $18.88. After checking my account, Lisa decided to give herself an additional tip without my authorization. While the restaurant setting is nice and clean, the servers honesty is not. Our first stop on our summer vacation was for lunch in Limon. My husband loves IHOP, so it was the obvious choice. When our guts told us to turn around & leave as soon as we walked in, we should have listened. But we didn't.... First, the host was a smug young "man" wondering aimlessly with an AirPod in his ear, so he couldn't even hear what anyone was saying. He would seat one party, then disappear, leaving people waiting at the front counter. Once we were seated, it was nearly 10mins before anyone even asked us about drinks. Then another long wait for him to come take our order. I started watching the clock at that point. From the time we sat down to the time we were finally able to pay was just short of an hour & a half. It was not busy by any means. But our waiter was busy chatting with his table of friends, and making excuses to customers ("I've been up since 5am!" Seriously.) to actually do his job. He was friendly enough, but no one was doing their job, our food was mediocre (a whole other issue. But we ate it because we knew we might never reach our destination if we sent it back & had to wait for new food.), & EVERY customer was irritated at best & quite angry at the worst. AND our table was gross: sticky table with a dirty coffee pot with hair stuck to it. The staff is friendly, the place is open and airy and most importantly it is clean. I've had waffles before but this one, Blueberry Cheesecake waffle was outstanding. It wasn't overly sweet, just sweet enough to enjoy it. My eggs were perfectly cooked. My husband enjoyed his French toast, covered with strawberries and bananas. Watch out for the Asian waiter by the name of Danny S. Who thought it would be a funny thing to charge an extra 2.89 for toast. I'm pretty sure it was supposed to come along with the omelet like anywhere else. Shame on IHOP if that's what they do. Also I ordered the Big Steak omelet but it ended up the thin Phily Cheasteak. I guess that's what they do according to a different review I read. I guess you have to watch out for those IHOPS in the truckstops. They'll get you in some way. The best IHOP I been in while traveling. The only complaint is the waitress Penny forgot one of are Meal and we had to tell her but she was sure he got it but he did not . We were excited for ihop on our way to Denver. Host was nice, asked about our kids head injury and seemed genuine, so props to her. When we sat, and the waitress asked our order, brought us drinks, all was well. My dinner salad consisted of soggy wilted greens, two slices of red onion and a slice of tomato. Tried to eat some but was awful. Brought out our food then never saw the waitress again other then when she rudely explained an omelette to a nearby table. Still, they have a very good cook here and they should keep him, them, how ever their system is. Half the time, the specialty stuff tends to come out too sweet. Not this place. "Please wait to be seated" sign up front. Waited 5 minutes before being acknowledged. Only 2 other groups in the entire restaurant and the host sat us at the closest booth to both tables of other patrons. When I asked why we could not sit at one of the many other clean tables I was given this reaponse, "I sat you guys here so it would be easier on my server so he's not running all around". Remember, there are only two other tables taken. You won't miss a thing by not coming here. The coffee was hardly warm. The silverware was dirty. IHOP is one of my favorite breakfast places, even at one in the morning. My husband stopped here because it was right up the road from our hotel and we basically had the whole place to ourselves. Our waiter was so nice and very attentive to us throughout our visit. I got the king Hawaiian roll French toast and it was amazing per usual, my hot chocolate was huge. We arrived at IHOP at 9am on Sunday. The place was less than half full. We waited 15 min before the hostess even gave us any eye contact, then once sat another 10 before we saw our server Lillian. She took our drink and food order and we didn't see her again for another 10 min or more. We ordered 2 waters, coffee, kids milk and a lemonade. We had two funny face pancake orders for the kids and my husband and I ordered a pancake combo each. We sat there waiting for over and hour to get our food. The waitress and manager stared at us for that whole hour and the manager never once made contact with us or comped anything off our bill. I suppose the waiter smelling my drink to see what it was should have been my first clue as to the events about to unfold. Friendly welcome and very nice waitress. We waited maybe one minute for service after we were seated and we didn't wait at the door at all. The waitress was kind enough to show us the breakfast special which saved us $2.00. Love that!
