Odd error message. Why would a receipt be cancelled, yet used for us to pay? I tried adding both before AND after we paid.
    April C.

Our first stop on our summer vacation was for lunch in Limon. My husband loves IHOP, so it was the obvious choice. When our guts told us to turn around & leave as soon as we walked in, we should have listened. But we didn't.... First, the host was a smug young "man" wondering aimlessly with an AirPod in his ear, so he couldn't even hear what anyone was saying. He would seat one party, then disappear, leaving people waiting at the front counter. Once we were seated, it was nearly 10mins before anyone even asked us about drinks. Then another long wait for him to come take our order. I started watching the clock at that point. From the time we sat down to the time we were finally able to pay was just short of an hour & a half. It was not busy by any means. But our waiter was busy chatting with his table of friends, and making excuses to customers ("I've been up since 5am!" Seriously.) to actually do his job. He was friendly enough, but no one was doing their job, our food was mediocre (a whole other issue. But we ate it because we knew we might never reach our destination if we sent it back & had to wait for new food.), & EVERY customer was irritated at best & quite angry at the worst. AND our table was gross: sticky table with a dirty coffee pot with hair stuck to it. To top it off, we couldn't even add our rewards points on the IHOP app. When I tried, I got an odd message that makes me wonder what they're doing behind the register.I emailed the "contact us" email that seemed to be to local management with no response (I waited 2 days to leave a review).

Lisa decided to give herself an additional $3.78 tip without my approval.

Giving two stars instead of one due to the lady that actually took care of me when I came back this morning after ordering to go last night and almost dying. I am severely allergic to mushrooms. I ordered steak tips to go with eggs and very precisely stated my allergy. When back at my hotel, I found mushrooms in my food. Luckily I caught it prior to eating. I called explained the situation, and she stated I had to take it up with the manager in the morning. After going back, the lady manager there made sure I was taken care of and she deserves 5 stars. She asked for my receipt which I couldn't find right away, so I pulled up the card transaction on my phone. Now I usually do not tip on to go orders, but since the restaurant looked slow at midnight, I gave the waitress Lisa a $2 cash tip before I took my order and I made sure to cross out the tip line on my card receipt and put the amount for food which was $18.88. After checking my account, Lisa decided to give herself an additional tip without my authorization. While the restaurant setting is nice and clean, the servers honesty is not. I will not be coming back unless Lisa is not working.

This place is middle of the road. Took a while to get seated even though there were 3 employees standing around doing nothing. Sign asks me to wait to be seated but the hostess told me to sit anywhere without a sign. Waitress was nice but extremely busy. I ordered sirloin tips with eggs and pancakes. Nothing special about the food. Sirloin tips were a little sweet for some reason.

Stopped for the nite here. Toooo tired of driving. Found last spot by the scale lol! Woo hoo. Showers then food. Bf had coffee waiting for me as I got to the table yeah. I ordered my fav... Swedish Crepes yum. And two poached eggs. Perfect! Bf had the grilled chicken n Vegi salad. Well that was NOT up to snuff. Slightly grilled chicken, hardly any vegis and NO grilled half of lemon like advertised... wah wah wah. Oh well. He was bummed but ate it.

I wasn't to impressed with the place. My burger was loaded with grease. My fries tasted like they were cooked with some kinda fish. The waitress was very very nice and was on point with asking if I needed anything. The Menu was on printed paper and in very tiny lettering. Hope u bring a magnifying glass with u.

Our waffle and French toast looked awesome.

The staff is friendly, the place is open and airy and most importantly it is clean. I've had waffles before but this one, Blueberry Cheesecake waffle was outstanding. It wasn't overly sweet, just sweet enough to enjoy it. My eggs were perfectly cooked. My husband enjoyed his French toast, covered with strawberries and bananas. This is the first iHop that I truly enjoyed eating at. Bonus....being inexpensive was purely a bonus.

There was hair in my food. The ranch tasted like mayo. The Arnold palmers tasted astonishingly gross.

Very slow service and what they serve is nothing like is described. For a 20$ breakfast you'd probably be better off to go to McDonald's

I pulled into the parking lot and found cars with license plates from Texas, Florida, NY and Missouri. Received a beautiful welcome from the owner Pamela. The instant feeling is wow how calm this place is. The name Ahimsa means compassion or non violence in Sanskrit and Pamela has absolutely succeeded in creating a very fitting scenario with delicious coffee, ( she so generously offered me a sample to see if I liked her dark roast), comfortable couches, a lovely and soothing water fountain, beautiful grass for dogs, a special bin for dog waste, a really spacious and warm seating area, a wonderful employee who was so courteous and efficient. I saw folks enjoying their coffee with different pastries, muffins and goodies. Love the great prices. It was $2.50 for a small coffee. ( she steamed me milk). This is the best Zen, pet friendly ( oh a big selection of treats as well), calm and fun rest stop/coffee shop I have seen and been lucky to experience in my multiple drives across our great and beautiful country. Pamela told me that this used to be a bank till she converted it into this gorgeous haven 7 years ago. She showed me the drive up window and some of the construction. She was so kind and so caring. This was a fantastic and energizing visit and stop. Ahimsa or Compassion is a very appropriate name!

My grandparents lived in Colorado Springs growing up so a final stop in Limon on the way into the Springs or on the way out has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and the rest stops have had their highs and lows over the years. As a child we always stopped at the Colorado Gifts rest stop, which was chock full of trinkets and was super fun as a child. As I got older though, they never gave the place a facelift and it became a pretty sad sight. Nowadays I usually pick the one that looks the best from the outside and having had good luck at TAs across the country we decided on this one for our pitstop on the way home to KC over the summer. I have to say, in terms of other Travelcenters of America locations this one is a little average, if not a little below average in terms of cleanliness and overall modern appearance. It was fine, and fit the bill for what we needed, but it could use a bit of a facelift to meet the standards of similar locations I've visited across the USA.

This trip, we were in Limon around noon and we were looking for lunch, something better than fast food. Doing what any good Yelper would do, I checked Yelp and found great recommendations for Oscar's. Oscar's was actually at the next exit off of I-70 (the exit closest to Denver). I had a "slipper" which is a cheeseburger smothered with green chili. It's a knife and fork burger and it was exceptional. My wife had the French Connection which is basically a French dip sandwich with fries. Also excellent. Bailey, our server, was excellent and service overall was excellent. The interior decor is unique. Oscar's is a Hollywood themed restaurant with lots of old movie memroberlia including some big, old movie cameras. Oscar's is definitely a hidden gem along I-70. Luckily... we landed at Oscar's Bar & Grill in Limon--and this turned out to be one of those "right place, right time" kind of stops. From the outside, it's a classic roadside bar & grill, but once you step inside, it's got personality--movie memorabilia, neon lights, pool table, and that relaxed, local hangout vibe. The kind of place where you just know you're going to get a solid meal. We weren't looking for anything heavy--just something good--and the $9.99 burger special caught our attention right away. Enter Sherry--our server--and she absolutely made the experience. Friendly, engaging, and confident in her recommendations (always a good sign). She pointed me straight to the Texas BBQ Burger, and that was the move. Smoky, slightly sweet BBQ sauce (house-made and legit) Crispy onion rings stacked right on top Juicy burger cooked just right That first bite told me everything I needed to know--this place knows what it's doing. I paired it with coleslaw, which was surprisingly solid--fresh, not overdressed, and a nice balance to the richness of the burger. We passed on appetizers and dessert this time, but based on the menu (and Sherry's confidence), there's definitely more here worth exploring. Bottom line: If you're rolling through Limon--especially on a holiday when options are slim--Oscar's is a no-brainer. Great service, good food, fair prices, and a welcoming local vibe. This is exactly what a road trip stop should be.
