This is a must a stop Mexican restaurant in Limon! We were driving through and were thrilled to see the ratings and pictures for this spot. We were even MORE thrilled when we found out this was a family owned restaurant! We ordered the steak, carnitas, and barbacoa tacos, tamale, and sopapillas. WOW! Everything was phenomenal. The tacos had so much flavor they didn't need the salsas provided. The tamale was tender and the perfect balance of masa and meat. The sopapilla was delicious but even more so reminded my dad of his grandmother's! You really must stop here and support local! read more

Had an amazing time! Our food was fresh and so delicious, and Edwin was excellent server!

My beef enchilada plate (with red sauce) was nothing special. Very unremarkable rice, too. My wife's chicken enchiladas (with the hottest green chili) were another story - she quite enjoyed them. The parking lot was grown up to the point of the place looking abandoned. If not for the lit OPEN sign in the window, we might have just gone somewhere else. The food was not stand out. The help had better things to do. The benches were tiny. The salsa was not good, and definitely not worth charging $2.60 for, along with 24 mediocre chips. On one hand, Limon doesn't necessarily command a crowd. On the other, the building looked good. The plate looked nice though. It was, again, not a stand-out meal by any means. This place was interesting. The salsa was salty. The roast beef burrito had a generous amount of meat. They asked if I wanted beans or rice. I thought that would be my side, but that was in the burrito. No veggies with it, just one burrito on a plate. The rice needed salt. The ground beef wasn't seasoned. Good, but not great. Portions are smaller than one would expect. My husband had a California burrito and enjoyed it. But the queso was watery and forgettable. (Hailing from South Texas, I consider myself a queso connoisseur of sorts.) Vegetables are in short supply and burritos are served alone on a plate: no rice nor beans to be had. EXTREMELY OVERPRICED; there's another Mexican (and more generous) restaurant in town and it blows this place out of water. First, they try and charge you .75 for small salsas to go with your meal. That should be the first flag, I was told by the owner or his wife; People love us , nothing is free, and people will keep coming because we are so good. Yet, nothing is good. If you don't know true Mexican food I'm sure this place fits your bill. They up charge for a side of onions, don't contain most Mexican food cuisine items and take advantage of the Limon population with watered-down Mexican food. Go to Jenny's 1 mike away), very polite, usually busy, but have Adovada, don't charge you for salsa, and give you free chips and salsa to go- and will even give you a free margarita as you wait. La posidita tacos are thrown together , falling apart and wet, , hard shells are soggy, but the soft shells are lumpy, and poorly filled. They make no effort to accommodate any requests such as a smaller size of something or a side of something ; I ordered a breakfast burrito and said green Chile on side as was an option. Instead of being charged the 1.00$ for the side they charged me 3.00 saying they didn't have proper to-go cups for smaller sides- sounds fishy to me. This place seems to enjoy extorting travelers and the local pop as idiots. I've been here four times, tacos, burritos, chips, all are over priced and nothing to write home about. Jenny's 1 mile down the street gives you free chips, salsa, and goes out of their way to take care of you. This place acts like it's the only spot in town and sadly I think some people are so uninformed they believe that. Please stop being cheap with your items, shorting paying customers with subpar portions and up charging for things you might think this gringo doesn't get; I bet it all and you've lost my business until you fix the issues. read more

I had dinner at La Posadita. The crispy chile rellenos were very good as was the rice. The refried beans were okay.

When I'm in the area I stop here to get take out. I either order the taco salad or the enchilada combo. Both great dishes. Very well prepared. Great job guys. I highly recommend this place. read more

This is a good little spot if passing through Limon. It's a much better option than the normal fast food of a small town this size. I enjoy the hot green Chile and their Chile Relleno is very tasty. It's a small place but is clean and Covid friendly. read more

We were passing thru Colorado and stopped for dinner here. It was about average. The waitress was friendly, the service was a little slow but not terrible, the beer was cold, prices a little high, and you do have to pay for chips & salsa. Probably wouldn't rush back. read more

Traveling east along I-70, my mom, sister, and I became aggressively hungry as we approached Limon. I always try to support local businesses and saw that La Posadita had some nice reviews. Very hot and spicy for a "medium"--I can usually take it, but wish I'd ordered my tamales "mild." They were excellent, as were the street tacos al pastor my husband ordered. I have been wanting to stop by for awhile. I ordered 2 handheld Burritos, 1 for the wife and 1 for myself. Wifes burrito was Chicken/Rice w/ Guacamole inside was tasty and very flavorful (as per the Wife). My bean and chicharrón was delish. Beans taste like they were not from a can or dehydrated fantastic and chicharrónes were plentiful and very fresh. It has been a longtime since I have had good handheld burritos. Most of my reviews are from Denver Metro Area. This place has the wait staff A+ and the food to back it up and compete with the restaurants in Denver... Such a good feeling in my belly... Yummm Oh by the way, they were working on the restrooms as I waited for my food which was not long. New tile floors and the like.. This little place is new so have not tried many menu items but the French fries and the green chili were so good. They are just getting started really. When I drive by on my way home from work I can see through the window that they are busy. Now that I have been here a few times I have to say the food is very good. We went to another Mexican restaurant recommended on Trip Advisor only to find that it was closed. A nearby business recommended La Posadita as an option. We were not disappointed. Our food was delicious, my husband had the Tamale plate and I had the special which was green chili, pork, rice, beans, tortillas and lettuce tomatoes. We both asked for medium spice which is something I have never been asked in a Mexican restaurant. Both plates were perfect. Their refried beans were the best I have ever had. If you are traveling on 1-70 in Colorado and are looking for locally prepared authentic Mexican food, we highly recommend this place. The servers were very sweet and solicitous as well. Please let Trip Advisor know about your restaurant, we don't normally use Yelp (but might start) and wouldn't have found you without the help of a Limon local. read more

Second trip here, this time by overwhelming.choice. First time was 10 am, walked in (car in shop, about half mile away) WADDLED away full, to doze off my meal while repairs underway.
