    Texas BBQ Burger
    Terry B.

Oscar's Bar & Grill Easter Sunday. Road trip to Denver. Middle of nowhere Colorado. Translation: finding food could've been a problem. Luckily... we landed at Oscar's Bar & Grill in Limon--and this turned out to be one of those "right place, right time" kind of stops. From the outside, it's a classic roadside bar & grill, but once you step inside, it's got personality--movie memorabilia, neon lights, pool table, and that relaxed, local hangout vibe. The kind of place where you just know you're going to get a solid meal. We weren't looking for anything heavy--just something good--and the $9.99 burger special caught our attention right away. Enter Sherry--our server--and she absolutely made the experience. Friendly, engaging, and confident in her recommendations (always a good sign). She pointed me straight to the Texas BBQ Burger, and that was the move. Smoky, slightly sweet BBQ sauce (house-made and legit) Crispy onion rings stacked right on top Juicy burger cooked just right That first bite told me everything I needed to know--this place knows what it's doing. I paired it with coleslaw, which was surprisingly solid--fresh, not overdressed, and a nice balance to the richness of the burger. We passed on appetizers and dessert this time, but based on the menu (and Sherry's confidence), there's definitely more here worth exploring. Bottom line: If you're rolling through Limon--especially on a holiday when options are slim--Oscar's is a no-brainer. Great service, good food, fair prices, and a welcoming local vibe. This is exactly what a road trip stop should be.

Awesome stop in Limon, CO! Fantastic food, atmosphere and service. We had the special, a steak sandwich and the Top Gun, an 80z sirloin with a loaded baked potato. Everything was so good! This place also has tons of bourbon. Make sure to check out the binder of bourbon. But our bartender Sari was amazing and made an epic Old Fashioned. Be sure to check out Oscars when traveling I70!!

Good and service was excellent. I ordered the tomahawk steak and mashed potatoes with brown gravy and loved every bite. Steak was cooked perfectly and although the mashed potatoes were of a much thicker consistency than I'm used to receiving it was very tasty. I will definitely return.

Our food was tasty, I had wings with the honey sriracha and fries. It was a great lunch spot to stop at while traveling. The vibes inside make you think about all the old movies and like you're in a fun dive with all the memorabilia. Service was spectacular, our server was speedy and attentive.

Fabulous lunch! a Diamond in the middle of no where. The green chili on the Slopper burger is one of the best Tim's had. My Cubano sandwich was definitely a true Cubano. The slaw was so fresh. A big Thanks to Jo, our server for good service.

    Thanks for the ballcap Mark!

My husband and I lived in Byers, CO back in the early 90's and haven't been back to Colorado since then. However, passing through on our way from Greenville, TX back home to Idaho after buying a travel trailer, we picked this place because I wanted something different and not a chain restaurant. We loved the movie memorabilia all over the place! We met Mark (assuming he is the owner), quite a character! We chatted with him for a few and he gave us a free dessert, the upside strawberry shortcake. I am not a sweet tooth, but I must say this was one of the best (my husband agreed) dessert we had! Fresh, right out of the oven! Prior to this, my husband had the Casa Blanca hamburger (fresh) and I had the Braveheart corn beef (delicious)....Thank you Mark for this wonderful dining experience and your ball cap! My husband wears this all the time!

Hot beef is a definite great choice, lots of food. The BBQ ribs were also very good. Then for appetizer the pickle spears fantastic . Finishing up with the cheesecake ... Go definitely eat here, Mark has a great thing going here

We stop at Oscar's for dinner on way to Colorado. I ordered Buffalo wings and it was really small but good

The Sundance Brisket Burger. Ask for more napkins. You will need them.

Passing through again, stopped for another delicious lunch. I enjoyed the Slopper again and my husband had the Sundance Brisket Burger. Rarely do I receive a burger that is not closer to medium well. These burgers were closer to medium rare- our preference. Big, juicy and charred to perfection. Our server was attentive and friendly, bringing another round of drinks before asking. The decor is fun with all things Hollywood.

The food was delicious food and it was so crowded and very noisy. If you like movies then you must eat here once . It's has all kinds of movies thinks inside

Got stuck in Limon during horrific snowstorm where I70 was closed for 10+ hours. Had late lunch here after we gave up hope of not staying the night in Limon. Aryel our server was so kind and friendly. Food was decent, cold beer was 5 stars.

It originally opened in Castle Rock back in 1996 before moving to Castle Pines, and it still feels like a true neighborhood institution. Be prepared to slow down a bit. When we arrived, they weren't prepared and quickly pulled a table together but missed a chair and setup. This is simple but speaks to oversight and lack of attentiveness. After borrowing a chair from another table, our group sat down and no later than 30 seconds our server was asking what drinks we wanted to order. It would have been helpful to point out the drink menu or give a recommendation versus demanding to know what we wanted. The interior is noisy and covered in carpet. Over half of our orders came out wrong- wrong protein on the wrong plate with wrong side. And to top it all off, did the kitchen lose their seasoning rack? Nothing was seasoned. The steaks were a poor cut, overcooked, the poor vegetables looked like they were boiled and thrown in a serving bowl, and the baked potatoes were either straight up plain or obviously sitting under a heat lamp because the cheese was dried. I envisioned the kitchen cooking in silo, throwing their portions on a plate with no consideration of the whole meal. It's giving cafeteria food. When we go out, we measure quality by evaluating whether we could cook it as well at home. This failed by a significant margin. I'd love to support local restaurants but at this price point and lack of quality, we'll try elsewhere, anywhere but here.
