Utterly hypocritical staff--humiliated me while I tried to comfort my baby. I am absolutely disgusted by the appalling and hypocritical behavior we experienced here. I came in with my family, and other customers began complaining about the noise my 1-year-old baby was making. As a mother, I was already feeling incredibly anxious and was actively trying my best to console my crying child.Instead of showing any empathy, the staff made the situation infinitely worse. They actively participated in making me feel unwelcome, leaving me drowning in embarrassment and shame just for trying to navigate a normal toddler moment. The ultimate insult came just minutes later: after making us feel like a burden for making noise, the exact same staff came out blasting and screaming at the top of their lungs to sing a happy birthday song. The blatant hypocrisy was staggering--our baby's distress was an issue, but their own disruptive noise was perfectly fine.Despite the horrible treatment, I still left a $10 tip, which was far more than their hostile attitude deserved. I left the establishment feeling deeply hurt, small, and judged. No parent should ever be made to feel guilty for existing in public with their children. #56/2023 Well as I said definitely you walk in I'm a long haired Rock and roller they got classic rock going I heard deep purple Black Sabbath and a whole lot more that's a big Plus in my book to begin with yes lol! So the IHOP outside of Smyrna down near the mall open 24 hours with unique hours to begin with as I found out Here after 10:00 p.m. the dining room is locked up the walk-in lobby is locked up the only thing they have are Uber kind of delivery people and that's it. A while it's open it's only open for Call deliveries that's it. Personally I find it kind of unique and probably easier just to close it up around 10 or 11:00 at night like a lot of IHOPs do but that's their choice. I walked in before the pre dinner crowd and it was pretty empty I got seated right away. I know just there was a few changes one of my usuals I was really liking were the crepes that had the lingonberries however they got rid of the ligonberry for now. I also have some kind of versions of alternate Benedict's you can get pictures on the menu are enclosed as of for now that could be subject to change They also had something new called pancake tacos at the time this was in July of 2023 when I was in there. But post photos are posted those too. I went with what was called a split decision breakfast after I ordered up some coffee. It consists of pancakes Eggs And a piece of French toast along with meat two sausage two bacon or four pieces of your choice ham is extra. I also decided to do an addition of adding blueberries for the pancakes. Food came out fairly quick. Pancakes look good with the whipped cream on it it was almost a little too much but it was delicious with the blueberries very tasty Eggs were nicely soft scrambled the bacon was good the sausage was fine on the French toast was very good too. Using the can on the way out I know she was very clean this is a very large dining room and older IHOP but kept up very well and I definitely will come back to it again especially for the good music. read more

Food was great.. Our server did absolutely fantastic. Kept our coffee pot full, creamer stocked, drinks refilled, and the food came out correct. All was well until she approached us, in the middle of breakfast rush, stating a new server would serve us with tears falling down her face. WHO fires a server in the middle of a breakfast rush? Not to mention one that was busting her butt and doing a good job. Absolutely disgusting. The amount of chaos it caused from people's food not being put in due to this. I came for breakfast and left with a great experience. The food was great as well! Michael, my server, made sure my order was correct, quick, and hot. I ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast with coffee. We take many things for granted, but Micheal did the little things that made my meal great! He pour the first cup. Then before the meal came, he got all the necessary condiments like a new bottle of ketchup, hot sauce, and cream for the coffee. I didn't ask for this, yet he assumed that I might have needed them. Wow! He noticed that I was a little tired and asked about my day. With the pandemic still going on, many businesses removed customer service. Busy busy crazy busy IHOP close to I 24 and close to stonecrest hospital in Smyrna Tn. We take huge group in each time we visit. Today was tough as they didn't answer phones for the 20-30 min I tried to call. seating about 30 min. Amanda quickly took our drink order but it was 30 min to get drinks. Then we ordered and it was 40-45 min to get food but food was good. Kept drinks coming. Had to ask for napkins and silverware. They were busy and probably short staffed. Food was devoured. Staff was excellent. We left from another IHOP that was equally as busy but had night and day difference in staff. At this one The cooks were running food, managers jumping in. The lady seating was very nice and so were all the waitresses. They were prompt and on it. The other IHOP had nothing but empty tables and no sense of urgency. You can tell the managers are doing their job at this location and it reflects in todays experience. Went in today for late lunch, no one was around. We had to sit and wait until someone finally came out of the back. An older lady ended up coming out looking at us, making a phone call on speaker and when they didn't answer she walked torwards us. She got a phone call as she was walking our way and decided to take the call around the corner. She walked back our direction and held up fingers to ask us how many people so she wouldn't interrupt her call. The lady then said she's the only one on the floor. When she sat us down she sat us back to back with two other tables. The first table asked to move to a window and she said "uhhhhhh I guess yeah". I learned something important this morning at IHOP. A Stack of 5 Buttermilk Pancakes is $5.99, a Short Stack of 3 is $5.49. And all you can eat is $4.99. Hmmm.. Well it's been a little bit since I've been to IHOP (a year plus). The menu has changed, they no longer have a Biscuits and gravy breakfast with a couple biscuits, gravy and bacon/sausage.. Instead they have a meal... and a meal it is with biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs, and a couple pancakes.. I mean really, who REALLY wants to eat all of that? I had to go ala cart and get a side of B & G's, 2 pieces of bacon and hash browns.. my wife got the same thing, but no hashbrowns and it was almost $18. IHOP, use to be cheap, am I wrong? Did they jack up the prices to pay for the Applebee's purchase? That's really my only complaint. The service was adequate and they were pretty speedy at getting us seated at 10.30 on a Sunday; less than 15 minutes and the place was packed. I hadn't been to ihop in years, only went because my sister was paying and she insisted, so I didn't fight her on it. First my waitress name was India/beautiful young lady that served our table. Her customer service and attention to detail was excellent. She constantly checked on us and had a super sweet demeanor, can't say enough good thing about her. If possible ask for her, you won't be disappointed. Secondly the food came out hot and delicious. I went on a Saturday morning and it was super busy, so I didn't expect much. The service I had was great, especially for a dinner service. I had gotten the chicken quesadilla appetizer, chicken fried steak w/ eggs and sausage links on the side. I had never had the quesadilla before and it was AMAZING. The chicken fried steak was pretty good, It was a tad bland, a little salt and pepper could fix that. But overall it was really good, and of course the pancakes are top notch. That being said, this location has seen better days where the food was just a little better. The wait wasn't too long for a Sunday morning. The hostess kept mispronouncing names so guests did not realize they were next to be seated. There were many tables empty but they needed to be cleaned. Our server was timely but not hovering. She was great except she did serve us someone else's food. The wait for our actual food was not too long but had to wait for toast so the eggs were cold - & overcooked. The sign on the door & on the cover of the seasonal menu says "unlimited pancakes with any breakfast combo" BUT THAT'S NOT TRUE The unlimited pancakes are only if the breakfast combo comes with pancakes to begin with. My daughters did not have school and I did not have work so we decided to come and have an early lunch. I was surprised at how busy IHOP was on a Monday after breakfast but before lunch. It was MLK Day so that may have played a part in the larger crowds. We waited for less than five minutes for the three of us to be seated. We were quickly greeted by Tracy and we received our beverages and our order was quickly taken. We all three had omelets and were on point. My boyfriend's BOYFRIEND'S coffee mug still had some woman's lipstick on it. We asked for more Splenda and she forgot? And brought sugar...we asked for extra Splenda again and brought a huge bowl of Splenda and a huge bowl of sugar. In addition to the massive sugar container already on the table.
