I asked how many people would be working, and he said three. On the first day, only one person showed up. I met him at Home Depot to get supplies, but he didn't know where anything was. When we got to my house, he started working, and I asked when the others would arrive. He said they would be there soon. Around 3 pm, the second worker finally showed up, saying he was late because he was working at another house. We tried to be understanding, but on the second day, they worked very slowly, and the second guy was late again. On the last day, they brought a third person, but it seemed like it was his first time doing this kind of work. As they were working on the trim of the sliding door, we asked them to remove the trim as we had discussed when they came to do the estimate. He told me, "Oh, that's not on the estimate..." which we had to argue about since it was. Eventually, they agreed it was on the estimate. Once the job was done and the mud on the drywall had dried, we could see all the imperfections on the walls: dips, unevenness, mesh tape coming off, bubbling...Needless to say, they finished the job and did a terrible job. 1. At the seams where the drywall met, they didn't use enough mud or spread it wide enough to make it look smooth. 2. The drywall was installed incorrectly and wasn't secured to the studs. 3. Several areas were uneven. 4. The screws were set too deeply and didn't hold the drywall in place. 5. They left gaps around the beams and the ceiling. 6. They used the wrong mud to cover the seams/joints of the drywall As a result the entire living room drywall They used the wrong type of mud to cover the seams and joints of the drywall.ls. Save yourself a headache and don't hire them. HARD PASS.

I would be very cautious about hiring this handyman. A few things really stood out:…read more * Drywall & Paint: We had drywall patches done on a wall and asked for it to be painted. He only painted the patches, not the whole wall. The result looked mismatched, and when I raised it, he said he had only priced "painting the patches." That's not reasonable for a finished job. * Baseboard Repair: A section of baseboard had to be removed for repairs. He replaced only part of it, leaving the corners mismatched. When I asked why it didn't match, he said I didn't ask him to do both pieces. * Kitchen Backsplash Grout: He didn't protect our counters, trim, or cabinets while working. Grout stained multiple areas, including the countertops. When I asked him to fix it, it took a month for him to come back. He applied a treatment and then expected me to clean it up myself. After that, he basically told me he wasn't coming back. If you do hire him, make sure to be extremely specific and explicit about what you expect the end result to look like. He won't connect the dots for you, and in my experience, the quality and accountability just weren't there.

FIVE DAYS later with no response emailed them again. Got boilerplate excuse (busy season, miscommunication, blah, blah) saying I'd have a quote by email. I followed up TWO DAYS later, and got a quote with a two page list of conditions, one of which required a 50% deposit with NO COMMITMENT for date(s) the service would be provided. Also they listed credit card as an acceptable payment method but DID NOT reveal that they assessed a 3% service charge (I had to ASK in a separate communication). Cannot comment on quality of the actual service I was requesting because I declined the quotation. If they CANNOT communicate in the quotation stage, how am I supposed to trust them by just GIVING them money in advance and no commitment for the work?

Hired Jason Marvin, the owner of this company to do interior painting of my home. He has showed up…read more1.5 hrs late every day, barely gets anything done and then leaves without a word, not even telling his new hire that he left at the residence. He sprayed some product on my walls (busy work) and then left the remnants all over the floors. He told me he always cleans up after himself. He claims "he takes care of his customers" but if tardiness, unproductive and unprofessionalism is how he gauges his customer service, then he is not your guy. He refuses to give me my $1250 deposit back and just get paid for the supplies and the minimal amount of work he did, so he basically stole money from me. Do you do diligence and really research the people you hire.

The estimate changed after the work was done, the initial estimate for the living room, kitchen, and 1 bedroom was $1400 labor only, I paid for paint.. Then when they were finished, the price went up to $1950. I didn't know what to say. And the man spoke broken English and I felt we were getting nowhere and then, I didn't want an altercation so I wrote out a check for the full amount. I put a stop payment on the check until we can get things worked out. And he's not willing to work things out. Even though there is no written estimate to the effect that I agreed to almost $2000 for a tiny 1 bedroom apartment, I would've never agreed to such a price, not including paint. I have been in business myself for almost 24 years and carry an invoice booklet with me, So as to write everything that I'm going to do. And then I get a signature for agreeing to my price. That is the way business is always done. Especially when you get your car fixed just for example. Now he expects the police to come after me with no written estimate, No receipt and no signature. I would NEVER HAVE AGREED to such an outlandish price!!!!. I called the Westchester police and they have no idea that he is running a business in their town. ON a lighter note, They did excellent work, and I am very happy with the results. Unfortunately, I feel like I'm being fleeced.. It wasn't worth $2000 plus $435 in paint. Would I recommend them? Yes but get a written estimate!!!!!!!
