So I'm 8 months pregnant and bit off a little more than I could chew with starting to paint both of my bathrooms in the condo. I contacted Ray on a Sunday via Yelp and to my surprise, he replied within the hour and we made a plan to touch base on Monday. I told him what I needed, sent photos of the space, and he offered to have one of his team (David) come out to do the job that same week on Thursday! I couldn't believe the turn around. He offered a fair and very reasonable price for the entire job. Ray and David were prompt at the time they said they'd arrive. Ray pointed out yellowing in one of the bathroom ceilings and since I had the ceiling paint in the condo already, he offered to add this to the job without extra charge. David brought one other team member with him and they were exceptional. Very professional, super friendly, and clearly took significant pride in their work. David checked in with us periodically to make sure that everything was exactly to our specifications. He was even done an hour early! Ray came back at the end to make sure everything was good to go. I am so grateful for Ray and his team because now I can keep prepping for baby's arrival and not worry about these half finished bathrooms. We hired Ray to patch to patch a hole in our closet ceiling/wall and repair a botched tape/drywall job in our master bedroom, which also required painting the bedroom ceiling. He showed up right on time on a Saturday morning to give us an estimate. He clearly explained what the job would entail and what the cost would be. On the day of the job, Ray and his crew -- Diego and Oscar -- again showed up on time (actually 10 minutes early) to do the work. Diego and Oscar were true professionals. Work quality was excellent. We hired Ray to paint the ceilings and do some patching in our condo. We lost steam doing the painting ourselves, and had never done ceilings before, so we decided to inject some money into the economy rather than potentially screwing it up ourselves. Ray was pretty easy to work with in setting up a walkthrough for an estimate, had a great price, and was easy to schedule for a date that worked for us. On the day of the work, Ray and his team were on time, he had a full crew, and he was sure to reiterate the scope of work to me and his guys. That was appreciated so I didn't have to worry they were going to paint the entire house lime green or something. He communicated via text message with my wife and sent pictures to show progress and as assurance that our furniture and everything was protected. I think he understands people's general concerns about having contractors in their home and knows how to allay those worries. I wasn't worried, as we have nothing of value, except the Basquiat we have in our bedroom. They finished quickly and the work was really well done. Ray and his crew are awesome. They did some painting for us about 2 months ago and we were blown away by their speed, quality and professionalism. It was a 4 day project and they covered everything fresh each day, cleaned up completely at the end of each day so I didn't feel like we were living in a construction zone. Next day they put up fresh paper and get back to it. The guys do an amazing job and you barely notice them while they're working. We just had some water damage so we had Ray and his crew come back out, fix some damage and paint some new areas. I figured they'd be here all day but they were able to get it done in half the time I expected. I would 110% percent recommend these guys to anyone. We will be having them back to paint the remaining rooms when we're ready. Also as an added bonus, they're dog lovers and loved to play and say hi to our dog throughout the day. read more

I used Ray to paint my home last week and he was amazing!! First, he took me on a last minute notice and then gave me a competitive price for all of the work he did. He fixed several dry wall patches in my bathroom, on some walls and on my ceiling and then painted over it - it looked good as new!! Overall outstanding work and customer service. AND in addition to painting, they addressed some drywall repair work (stemming from trying to "fix" a wall ourselves... oooops). Ray came out and surveyed my condo, gave a quote and a date he could get the work done. I committed to him, then a few days later he canceled the job on me. By that point I was already out of town for a week and unable to find a replacement. Given how busy painters are, this is setting me back several weeks. I dont doubt he'd have done a fine job (which you'd expect given how expensive he is), but the lack of reliability was really troubling. read more

Hired ray to tape and mud a bedroom wall that i had rebuilt in my loft. since it was a loft there was a lot of intricate detail work and notching due to a wood ceiling with beams all over the place. At the end of the day i couldn't have been more pleased. His guys did a fantastic job and were extremely clean and courteous. When they were done the wall looked perfect and you wouldn't have even known they were there, which is saying a lot bc that process creates a ton of dust. Just needed one room painted for a nursery. I contacted four companies to get estimates and Ray was the only person that actually came out to look at the job. He was responsive and prompt and price was very fair compared to other bids. He took precautions to protect the new carpet in the room and did an excellent job painting. He even took the time to paint slightly inside the closet door so you wouldn't see the white paint from inside the closet when the doors are closed, since new color in room is blue.
