    Blackstone Tonk

I was craving ramen and Ika definitely hit the spot! We started with the Benson Bomb which was delish. The meat was flavorful and the spicy mayo was the perfect touch. I ordered the Blackstone Tonk and it was really yummy. It was definitely on the salty side, but I loved it! We both ordered the Jigglypuff cocktail which was stronger than we were expected, but we weren't complaining about it! It was a very sweet drink though. The service was great, it's in a great location and the space is cute (although it was very cold in there at the time- i wish i would've brought a sweater!)

The food was great and hit the spot, perfect food for the colder weather and the best way to warm up! Ordered and was served extremely quick.

The place is located in a somewhat sketchy area. There is only street parking, so be aware and plan ahead. The waitress was amazing; very attentive and helpful with explaining any questions we had regarding the menu. There was a selection of small appetizers, rice bowls, and ramen. I would personally not consider the food flavors and combinations similar to what you would get in Japan. For the ramen, they offer a variety of different types of noodles. You would have to let them know if you want to exchange.

DELICIOUS Ramen! Went here with my sister & brother in-law and had a lovely time! The service was superb and we never once had to flag the waiter down for anything as she was on top of it. We ordered "Ribs for your pleasure" for an app which is fried ribs, fried kimchi with sweet soy and it was wonderful. My husband ordered the Miso Ramen and I ordered the Oyako Don. All of our meals were well prepared and super flavorful. Perfect place to go out with friends or for date night!

I've been going to this location since I was in college, but they changed their menu. We had the East LA & Spicy Noods. The Spicy Noods is on the shareable plate, but I normally have it as an entrée because it is so good. The ramen is also very good. Make sure to check out their murals, the anime playing in the corner, and the hours on the other door off the dining area if you're looking for a post-dinner drink after dinner.

While service can be a hit or miss, the food is good. Unfortunately, the inconsistent service quality does outweigh the wait for food that sometimes is too cool by the time you're served. I recommend ordering takeout in advance, if you're in a pinch. Ambience is okay with R&B, hiphop, and pop music, and cool wall art to occupy myself with while waiting for food. Another alternative is to ask if you can order takeout and have it delivered to the downstairs bar, for a nice ambient dinner with great music.

I dream of this udon ramen from time to time. It was the best ramen I've had and something I can't wait to experience again.

We heard this was one of the best ramen places in town, so we were excited to try. The atmosphere is like a trendy asian restaurant. Service was good not great. We found out there is a speakeasy downstairs so that was neat. We were a bit disappointed with the food overall. - Tonkatsu ramen (3/5): the broth was almost luke warm when it was served to us, so that was disappointing. The flavor overall was good but not as savory as tonkatsu typically is. The soft boiled egg was cooked well, and the pork was tender and tasty. - Spicy miso ramen (2.5/5): the broth was flavorful and had a kick of spice. Noodles were good, lots of toppings - Tokyo fried chicken (4/5): loved the chicken, pretty fatty and oily but still tasted great. Very crispy and delicious - Pork belly steam buns (4/5): pork belly was cooked and seasoned well. Love the buns and the crunch of the cucumber Overall a bit disappointed in the ramen, but next time will have to try the other types of ramen instead of the classics!

We came here on a random Friday night when we were bar hopping in benson - 30 min wait but they have the coolest basement speakeasy bar that we passed the time in! Very fun vibes!! The ramen was AMAZING! Very large portions for the price. Service was a bit disappointing - they forgot to put in our order so we waited for 45 minutes but the food was soooo good so we'd come back! Think it was just a busy night.

Fun themed restaurant in Benson. Ordered a buta kimchi don with tons of texture and flavors. Tender and savory pork belly, crunchy veg, and fresh kimchi worked well in the bowl together. It was more sweet than spicy.

This is a wonderful little ramen place tucked away in Benson. The interior is simple but the food and service is great. They have a decent drink selection available, along with some quirky canned sake and soju. The tonkotsu ramen was delicious; the pickled onions were a great touch. Looking forward to the next time I come back or get take out.

I like different things about each of the ramen places in Omaha. For Ika, I think they have a cheaper menu compared to Akarui and Jinya. It's not a big difference in price, about $1. Since food is expensive now, maybe it'll change in the near future. They're add-on options are also slightly cheaper too. I got extra noodles, which was $2 more and an extra egg, which was $1. I like the broth, but I was not a fan of the toppings on many of the different ramen dishes. However, that is a personal preference and I just asked for them to be left out of my dish.

I met a friend here earlier in the summer and it was a good experience. We went at the cusp of happy hour and ordered a few different food items, as well as some drinks. All were nicely priced as it was happy hour. The food was great. The drinks were great as well. The service was a tad slow though. The employees were super nice but it almost seemed like our waiter purposely stayed away from my table when HH was ending because my drink was empty, lol. I definitely am going to go back after COVID ramps down again.

Absolutely fantastic food and service. Like mind blowingly great. We had the bukake rice bowl and tomkatsu and both were perfect.

They have lots of ramen options on the menu, all customizable spice level and the option to add extra ingredients. There was a little wait time, but it was a Friday night around 7pm, so not surprising. The service was awesome! Our server answered all our questions and was quick with orders and refills on drinks. We started with Thai Tea and it was delicious! I love boba and the sweetness of the tea was a perfect combination with the pearls. For my main entree I had the Spicy Hokkaido spice level 3 and it was perfect! I wanted spicy, but not so hot I was hurting. 3 was great for me. They use chili oil, gochujang, and habanero for level 3 so it packs a punch! The overall flavor was delicious with a spicy finish to each bite, especially the broth. We ended with a complementary fried oreo which was as awesome as it sounds. The vibe in Hokkaido is very nostalgic with throwback tunes on the radio and lots of cartoon & anime characters incorporated in the decor. It's a really fun spot and we will definitely be back soon!

We've gone with friends and on our own and there's always been a table ready pretty quickly and servers ready to get our orders. We recently went to dinner here and we were both hungry and eager for some Ramen. I ordered the Blackstone Tonk with an egg and my boyfriend ordered the Spicy Miso with extra noodles. The broth for mine was rich, flavorful, and warm. The pork was perfectly tender and the egg added texture and more flavor for me. My boyfriend is always happy with a little spicy heat in his meals and he was pleased with his choice. He may have added a little more spice but that's just because he's evolved his tastebuds to handle it. Anytime we decide to come to this Ika I know that the food and service will be consistent. The servers are always on point in checking on you, our waters were refilled a few times, and they never seem like they are rushing us out the door. On a different note, I also appreciate the decor and atmosphere in this location. The old brick walls and open space feels as though, and there probably is, a lot of history within the walls. Tucked away down an alley, this location is easy to miss but absolutely worth a try!

I really lovveed the atmosphere of this restaurant. The dim red lights, cool air, and the buzz of people talking created a nice, relaxed vibe. The staff were super friendly, we were seated quickly, and the restaurant was very clean. My favorite part was the outdoor seating area overlooking the quiet downtown streets. It was a great place to sit and enjoy the evening. We went in and instantly ordered the chicken and pork momos - 10 each. There was a long 15 -20 min wait because it was quiet late and they wanted to make them fresh but as soon as they came out - my heart filled with so much joy and excitement because they looked and tasted absolutely authentic and were priced right- $15 each. The wrappers were thin yet sturdy, had a well seasoned moist filling that tasted fresh and home made. The chutney it was served with, felt like it was bought from Nepal - it was spicy, smokey and tangy and really complimented the momos.
