It was our first day here and we just got done taking care of what we needed to for the business. Now, we were hungry. When I saw this place was not far serving ramen, sushi and bubble tea there was no need to look any further. Was it a good decision? We'll find out. The venue is large and spacious. The vibe and ambiance was nice. The staff were constantly moving around adding to the experience looking busy. It wasn't packed but many tables were occupied. We were seated on a table for 4 for just the two of us. I started with a melon bubble drink. My favorite. I was impressed it came in a tall serving. Don't let the size fool you. It just looks good. It tasted good too but you're not really getting more than other places. We both took the house special ramen. Not disappointed either. The creamy broth was soothing going down my throat. With the right amount of spices it did a good scratch along the way. The tender pork paired well with the perfectly split, boiled egg. The sushi on the other hand was decent. The rice ratio is not good compared to what we were use to getting. Taking that into consideration that made the pricing high. Because the ratio wasn't there the taste was lacking. The presentation was spot on. They looked different too but that made it interesting to look at. So glad I didn't try the poke. Service was good, mechanical, but acceptable. I would come back for the ramen again.

Our favorite yearly haunt before hitting the River City Mixed Chorus' annual holiday concert. I tried the Vegetable Gyoza and it reminded me a little of a samosa. Very delicious. I also ordered a ramen bowl, but was very jealous of my friends bento box with grilled salmon and sushi. Shout out to the server for remembering us from last year and providing awesome service yet again. One note, please get rid of the bench seating! They are too wide and bulky to climb over to sit on or move around.

I'm home sick so ramen was ordered to go last night!

We hit this spot up again with friends the other day and it did not disappoint! The shrimp dumplings were delicious. I just wish there were more, they are that good. Our ramen was exceptional! I added cilantro and shrimp with a side of the hot (chili) oil. The hubby added extra ramen noodles but no shrimp this time. Our daughter enjoyed hers as well. Our waitress, Noemi remembered our orders and was very nice and soft spoken! We went right when they opened up so it was not noisy with only a few customers dining at the time. OAN, I've been sick the last few days so I got ramen for dinner last night, too!

As always, amazing, amazing, amazing! Truly, the best Ramen, sushi, and poke in the Omaha area Excellent service, friendly and attentive. Everything about the food is excellent. The restaurant is clean and has an open and modern vibe. Not sure what else I can say to another return visit that just made us happy

This is my first time coming in, and the poke bowl I got was absolutely delicious! This is a great spot for affordable sushi/Asian food. It was pretty authentic as far as I could tell! The overall vibe of the restaurant is more on the casual side. The bathrooms are tucked away in a corner, seemingly shared with another space for the kitchen. The single stall women's restroom was not the cleanest, but definitely usable. Nothing about this spot absolutely blew me away, but it was a good meal for an affordable price. I probably wouldn't see this out on my own, but would definitely come back if invited here!

My girlfriend and I are always in the mood for a date here, amazing ramen, extremely friendly staff and in a great location in the capitol district downtown, parking isn't always great but it's worth getting down there to try it. Something about the broth in all of their Ramen's is so dang good.

Super tasty and friendly staff. The menu is crazy long and options seem limitless! We opted for the sushi route and enjoyed Edamame (it was ok, not awful but definitely far from the best we've had), Eel Roll, a Tuna Roll, and a Spicy Tuna Roll. All of the rolls were great and prepared exactly as ordered. They also had gluten free soy sauce, which was appreciated. The prices were reasonable, the restaurant was clean, and the noise level was not too loud. I would definitely come back!

Over the last 3 years of living here, this is still my favorite sushi and ramen place. My son and I have tried others but keep coming back to Akarui. Service is always great, the atmosphere is relaxed and the food is always delicious.

This is literally one of my favorite places to eat. The ramen always hits the spot. I also always get either the salmon or tuna tartar. Service is always fast and staff is friendly. They also have boba tea and variety of other drinks to choose from, plus alcoholic beverages.

Akarui is a great Japanese restaurant in downtown Omaha offering ramen, teriyaki, poke, sushi, boba, and more! Prices were affordable, service was friendly and attentive, and the food was tasty! Akarui is a dine-in restaurant and had a spacious and clean dining area. I ordered the pork gyoza ($6.99) which had perfectly cooked crispy sides and were tender and flavorful. Order comes with 6 dumplings. I also ordered the spicy miso ramen ($14.99). The noodles had great texture, meat was tender, and the broth had a good flavor profile. The sweet corn in the ramen was kinda tough so I might omit that next time. I ordered boba as well. Had the pineapple peach palmar with mango popping boba. Very refreshing but pretty sweet. I'm not a boba officianto but was a great treat!

Came in for dinner on a business trip when it was perfect soup weather. The menu was HUGE The ramen was amazing so was the shu mai. The servers were attentive! The art on the walls was really pretty too! Definitely hit the spot!

We were staying at Hilton and Akarui was very close to our hotel. I love the ambiance at the restaurant which signifies the cuisine that they offer. Our table was closer to the street and Omaha is a very calm city, we got to enjoy the city view with our food. The crew was very sweet and patient. The price was reasonable and portion size was large. We ordered Peach Dragon fruit tea with popping lychee boba and it came in the cute Kitty sipper and they taste refreshing! The sushi was delicious. It was one of the best sushi that I have tasted. I tried Takoyaki for the first time and it was extremely delicious too. The Poke bowl was quite nice, although we were fairly stuffed by then. Overall we had a memorable experience and we steeped out as content diners. The restaurant is wheelchair friendly, although I did not spot an parking near by. Akarui is a must visit for anyone in Omaha.

Great service and really nice place for dinner with friends. We even wore matching sweaters and loved the food. High recommend!

They have lots of ramen options on the menu, all customizable spice level and the option to add extra ingredients. There was a little wait time, but it was a Friday night around 7pm, so not surprising. The service was awesome! Our server answered all our questions and was quick with orders and refills on drinks. We started with Thai Tea and it was delicious! I love boba and the sweetness of the tea was a perfect combination with the pearls. For my main entree I had the Spicy Hokkaido spice level 3 and it was perfect! I wanted spicy, but not so hot I was hurting. 3 was great for me. They use chili oil, gochujang, and habanero for level 3 so it packs a punch! The overall flavor was delicious with a spicy finish to each bite, especially the broth. We ended with a complementary fried oreo which was as awesome as it sounds. The vibe in Hokkaido is very nostalgic with throwback tunes on the radio and lots of cartoon & anime characters incorporated in the decor. It's a really fun spot and we will definitely be back soon!

We've gone with friends and on our own and there's always been a table ready pretty quickly and servers ready to get our orders. We recently went to dinner here and we were both hungry and eager for some Ramen. I ordered the Blackstone Tonk with an egg and my boyfriend ordered the Spicy Miso with extra noodles. The broth for mine was rich, flavorful, and warm. The pork was perfectly tender and the egg added texture and more flavor for me. My boyfriend is always happy with a little spicy heat in his meals and he was pleased with his choice. He may have added a little more spice but that's just because he's evolved his tastebuds to handle it. Anytime we decide to come to this Ika I know that the food and service will be consistent. The servers are always on point in checking on you, our waters were refilled a few times, and they never seem like they are rushing us out the door. On a different note, I also appreciate the decor and atmosphere in this location. The old brick walls and open space feels as though, and there probably is, a lot of history within the walls. Tucked away down an alley, this location is easy to miss but absolutely worth a try!

I really lovveed the atmosphere of this restaurant. The dim red lights, cool air, and the buzz of people talking created a nice, relaxed vibe. The staff were super friendly, we were seated quickly, and the restaurant was very clean. My favorite part was the outdoor seating area overlooking the quiet downtown streets. It was a great place to sit and enjoy the evening. We went in and instantly ordered the chicken and pork momos - 10 each. There was a long 15 -20 min wait because it was quiet late and they wanted to make them fresh but as soon as they came out - my heart filled with so much joy and excitement because they looked and tasted absolutely authentic and were priced right- $15 each. The wrappers were thin yet sturdy, had a well seasoned moist filling that tasted fresh and home made. The chutney it was served felt like it was bought from Nepal - it was spicy, smokey and tangy and really completed the momos. Your train should definitely stop at this station without fail!!!
