    Tis the season.... For returns!
    Jon L.

First time experience in the CLT store. Quite impressed. I had to return some shelves & decided to hang around & shop & get some lunch. Great cafeteria up stairs with a nice second floor view through large glass window pane. I had the Swedish meatball special that comes with mashed potatoes and peas, it was excellent! They were a mix of pork and beef and very tasty. There's also and small bistro down stairs where you can order/pay for hot dogs and small hand-held on their kiosk. If you've never been to one of these stores, I would recommend going to their website and getting familiar with what you're interested in FIRST. They want you to go through EVERY department and SEE everything first. If you've got the time, go for it. Most people want to get eyes on their product, make a decision, buy and get going. It's very easy to purchase on their website and pick-up the product on the curb. You also have the option of going inside for pick-up. I would def encourage you to check out the 'As Is' department which is near the exit and where you pay. Returns are easy, just have your order number or receipt. There is no need to START a return on their web site as they suggest, it doesn't expedite the process at all. I was very disappointed at the attitude of some of the employees, especially in the upstairs serving line. Woman didn't want to be there and it clearly showed, she was miserable and want you to be too. IF you have a lot of stuff or want to pick-up your on-line order at the CURB they have someone there to help you load into the vehicle. There will be a lot of products by brands you have NEVER heard of. They are from all over Europe. I especially like they way they solicit shopper feed back. At every transaction point and almost every step, they are asking you to rate them. This place will give Bezos some competition.

You shouldn't have a problem finding parking. This place is massive. Plan on wearing comfortable walking shoes. Follow the arrows on the floor to help navigate you through the store. The store has countless affordable items for your home. Many don't require assembly so grab a cart. I recommend taking pictures of the items you would like to get before you head down to the warehouse portion on the lower level to retrieve the items you can't grab from the floor (furniture). The restaurant is the real treat in the store. The Swedish food is reasonable and delicious. They also have a smaller snack food area near checkout. I like IKEA. I like the prices and the modern appearance of their goods. You can spend a great deal of time in here and make sure you have ample room in your truck/van/car to carry your goods home.

Swedish meatballs. My wife has to have these every time we visit. They put a flag for every four you bought.

I only gave the store four stars, but we like what they offer and will be coming back. The reason for the four stars is that they make it impossible to get out of the store without having to go through so much of it. We tend to have lots of parties and don't like plastic for alcoholic drinks, so we buy all of our wine, martini, and other types of glasses here that we use for parties. We're not worried if they get broken (which they do) since replacements are easy and inexpensive. They also have a lot of other cool things, such as their organization stuff and kitchen gadgets (I love gadgets). However, this trip got me a bit annoyed with the store. The first thing we did was grab a box of red wine goblets. We took all of the shortcuts we could find to get to the checkout, but we still went through so much of the store. After our purchase, we went upstairs to eat in the cafeteria. My wife always has to get the Swedish meatballs when we visit, and since we were both hungry, I ordered 16 of them. We'll be back next time we go to Charlotte. I saw a cool giant wooden spoon I need

Who doesn't love ikea! After a terrible experience with a restaurant that we waited almost 2hrs for food that we never received. We were hungry and decided to stop in to ikea to get some food since their food was half off on Friday! We wanted something quick and fast and ikea delivered. The staff were so friendly, the cafeteria and dining areas are always clean. We got to the dining area got our trays, our dessert and food. And bam! We sat and ate our food, it was yummy and we were full! We didn't come to do any shopping this trip, but really enjoyed our meal at a awesome price. I got the Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes, the bean mix, Texas toast and a cheesecake. All for about 13 bucks! This also included a fountain drink. Ikea never disappoints!

Massive. IKEA is always fun to go to but then you're quickly reminded how huge this store really is and how much time you'll actually need to spend there to make your rounds of rooms and products. For the most part, the selection they have is solid and while some things reasonable, less desirable looking items are expensive. A billion rooms to go through but they set it up well enough to go in a specific direction (if you want), to make the most out of your time and viewing. The showrooms are all staged well and give you lots of ideas and labeled very well (so you don't have to look for price/description) of item. The bottom floor with the separate products can be a cluster, but I'd attribute that more towards the customers that pick up everything and put them out of place. Plenty of lines but still long lines to wait. Overall, a good place to view/buy home goods if you want to spend half a day there.

I used to really like ikea but these days it just isn't worth the hassle. They are no longer the cheapest place to get most things and alternatives to their furniture can be found for better quality and prices on wayfair, shipped direct to your house. IKEA has also become way more annoying to actually buy from. It's weird to say, but the areas where they've replaced "get your own" with assistance are actually dramatically worse than before. Now, buying a larger item (closets for example) requires you to get assistance from a person at least twice but still requires you to do all the work of figuring out what you need beforehand. Now you have to have a person put it into an order form for you which you then have to scan and pay for - only then can you take it to yet another person who will scan it again. At this point you go into a queue to wait for someone to bring you your stuff which can be a seriously long wait even if no one is ahead of you. After all that, you're back to having to deal with the stuff yourself (man handling it outside and loading it yourself). On top of that, while you now have to deal with at least two new people in buying a Pax, they removed all the cashiers so you have to do checkout for yourself which is annoying when a Karen in front of you can't figure out how to scan the boxes up couch she bought. Like I said, it's no longer worth the hassle.

Who get's excited to visit a furniture store? Me! Who get's excited to visit one with a restaurant? Meeee! Tip #1 come with your walking shoes on! Seriously. This is a large store/warehouse. With a lot to see, touch, and buy! It took us about 2 and half hours to walk around and see it all AND eat. Tip #2 bring a to-go container! They have no to-go containers sooo if you don't eat all your food - you can wrap it up in aluminum foil *shrugs* The food is very good for the money and fresh! It's like a cafeteria set up. You grab a tray and pick out what refrigerated items you want and anything hot you get from the server. Very one was very kind from the food area or the furniture area. The entire store was very well organized and clean. If you are looking for inspirational ideas on how to put your space together or interesting pieces to decorate with - this is a place to visit. Ohhhh let me not forget - Tip #3 - the snack cookies from Switzerland - if you see them - GET them! They are heart shaped gingerbread cookies! We ate them so quickly I didn't get a photo lmbo!

The restaurant was great for a quick breakfast. Eggs were great and bacon perfectly cooked. Everybody welcomed you and they were all friendly. Breakfast is limited to eggs, bacon, potatoes and crepes but it was great! 2 people ate for under $12. Yummy and great to fuel your walk.

I just love to walk around this place. The combination of the broad selection and the affordable prices is always a winning combination. I'll be honest I have not often purchase anything but the store but I do get lots of design and other ideas when I'm visiting. The service is top-notch, including the service on the floor, as well as the service and the restaurant and the snack bar that's located in the front of the store. I am always amazed at how many people are in the store, but it doesn't have that crowded over packed feel and you never have to wait a long time am I

The ladies at the store have been working here for as long as I can remember, and they run a nice store. The prices are great and they have all the appliances you'd find at places like Walmart/Target, as well as a lot more (like sous vide vacuum sealers, mixer attachments, and even Vitamix blenders). I remember a long time ago I bought my Kitchenaid Stand Mixer here and it's been a trusty culinary sidekick for nearly a decade. All the accessories have come from here as well. I found a couple of places online that were marginally cheaper, but I like the fact that I can pick it up same-day and I like the people here so it's a win-win to support the business. They always have deals and specials going on. It may look unassuming from the concourse of the mall, but make sure to give them a look. While I don't do all of my kitchen shopping here, I know I'll always find a bunch of things I could use at a great price!

Check out Kitchen Collection and I am positive you will find something, at least one thing that you won't want to leave the store without. We called them to remodel master bathroom. Natalia & Robert (Contractor) came to the house to look…read moreat project and then we went into Pro-tops & picked out counters/cabinets, received our estimate and we agreed on price & start date. Natalia set up text with herself, Robert & myself. TILE: Robert suggested we go to Flour & Décor; we went there & had a horrible experience. I tell Robert about the experience at Flour & Décor he said "Well you should have gone to the ProDesk" Why did you NOT tell us that before we went. PAINT: told to pick out paint color we go Lowes & get color & I tell Robert paint we want & he states they only use Sherman Williams Paint from their store so we wasted our time. He said to rehang accessories is NOT in the contract. I asked him to hang mirrors & he agreed but said "Customers always want things for free". My husband hung all other accessories. Robert is contractor but he subs out to Daniel which in turn subs out his work mostly to Spanish speaking people which was hard to communicate. During project saw Robert about 3 hours total & Daniel maybe 6 hours total. The Electrician put a NON GFI outlet which is not straight by sink & the other outlet he put high up so cover does not fit. I told Robert about the outlet; Electrician came back & fixed it & put GFI by sink. The drywall guy comes & leaves my windows open in bathroom & leaves out the back door with all the gates open & does not notify me. Between him & Electrician leaving a huge mess on floor. I complained & Robert said "Well that is the way a construction site is". The next week the Plumer was supposed to show up & no show so I text Robert & his response was things happen so my hubby came home from work for nothing. Next was Gus tile guy with his men & tile and shower came out great. He was a no show one day. Next up cabinets were installed but counters the holes not correct so Natalia ordered new counters & they were switched very quickly. Then painters showed up & they worked hard getting that bathroom into shape. We did have a problem with a wall & the corner trim was pulling up the paint I texted Robert and he never texted me back but painters showed without notice which I was not available so they came the back next day. The painters hung the lights, painted walls, baseboards & hung the mirrors. Robert shows for a total of 10 minutes & took a few pictures & left & never heard from him again. NO one did a final walk through in which if they did would have realized that inside marble on step of shower had not been caulked & beyond wall by the shower where the counter ended is an opening. They put flat paint on all walls & it already dirty & not using that bathroom yet all you have to do is lean against it & it leaves a mark. When Natalia was here collecting money, I asked her why bathroom was painted in flat paint & she said she never heard of that either. Robert told her he would NOT repaint the bathroom. Pro-tops are responsible because that is who the contract is with. I just want everyone to know what kind of service you will get when you when you remodel with this team. Natalia said she wanted her field manager to come to look over everything but no one has gotten back to me yet. As for Robert the way he does business I do not care for & if something is wrong you fix it and make it right, period! If you want to remodel, I would make sure it is not his team because he really will have no interest in your job. Robert was hardly around during project & his communication was lacking in sometimes no texts back, calls or one-word answers. In the end the project came out beautiful with the help of the Tile Store in Matthews, Natalia for being kind and professional, Tile installers (Gus and his people) & painters (they did a lot of work getting those walls ready). Also, to my hubby, who now has to repaint the entire bathroom in semi-gloss because they refuse to repaint it. I had to shorten this due to character limitations for Google Review and everything is not in full sentences due to that. They go by two different names. So be sure to look under Pro-tops when looking up this company. I only looked up Complete Kitchen and Bath by Pro-tops and people are leaving reviews under Pro-tops.
