I sometimes come to Ikea just to look around even if I have nothing to buy. This location is actually much better than the North York location. It is always less crowded and the downstairs food area layout is much nicer. It has an actual seating area for you to sit down and enjoy your hot dogs and is much more spacious compared to the North York one. Ikea is actually a good place to buy houseplants. Their selection isn't bad and it is much cheaper compared to the ones sold at places like Sheridan Nurseries. For example, I bought a cute little succulent there for only $3.99 compared to the $9.99 Sheridan charges. The selection of succulents was also a lot bigger than Sheridan. Ikea also sell these cool pineapple plants that you should definitely check out the next time you're there! You can't go wrong ordering the hot dogs and frozen yogurt here. Clearly this store and the staff seriously lack in customer service. Their pompous arrogant inexcusable attitude is unacceptable. Unwilling to accept responsibility for their own mistakes and incompetences means u should shop elsewhere. Elias has proven himself as being unworthy of his management moniker and should consider a career where he doesn't interact with customers. Love this place! I can spend hours roaming around, it is full of unique designs and latest trends.

The layout of the showrooms are spaced out and have more items on the floor than the Etobicoke location. The food is presented WAY better than Etobicoke as well. Yes, it's busy but it's less hectic with a better thought out floor plan which is a big plus for me. read more

I purchased a Whirlpool self-cleaning oven from IKEA and in less than 2 years, whenever I turn on the self-cleaning process, the door will not open after the cleaning. The first time, Whirlpool sent out a technician and covered the repair. The locking device melted. Now, less than 6 months later, the same thing has happened. I contacted Whirlpool again and they will not send over and cover the costs of parts & labour even though my machine is under warranty. Even after speaking to a supervisor, I have not received any satisfaction. They claim it is no longer under warranty. This is not a product I would ever recommend! Very poor service! Poor product! Don't buy Whirlpool! read more

Huge fan! My first time visiting ikea was just 3 days ago. I was overwhelmed at how big this store is. Theres so much to see and do. Ive gone back every day since, 3x's in 3 days. The midnight madness summer sale was nuts. Very busy. I love that theres shopping bags everywhere in case you change your mind and suddenly need one. I also love that theres recycling bins everywhere as well. The one complaint i have is that the area for returns and exchanges is very slow, so are the check outs. The workers take their time cashing people out. Its very slow and this is excluding the midnight madness sale. I did have a hard time finding someone to help me locate some items. I got a few plants at a great price. They were healthy looking which is good to see, compared to plants that ive seen at canadian tire. The .75cents hot dogs are surprisingly good. Nothing compared to street meat but still good for the price. read more

We expected Ikea Vaughan to be busy on a Sunday afternoon, and it was. Even so, we've always thought of Ikea as being one of the cleanest stores we've ever visited. Not any more. We stopped for lunch at the cafeteria, and while we agree with the idea of clearing your own trays, we couldn't find a single table that had been wiped down...and we were there late afternoon. After lunch, there was a visit to the restrooms where an attendant was just leaving. Maybe she left because of the mess! The stalls were horrendous, and I know guests can be pigs, but there was still paper towel bits all over the floor. And the paper towel dispenser was empty. We drove down from Barrie, so we were pretty disappointed and just couldn't wait to get out of there. read more

Visiting this Ikea is a fun trip even if you are not in the market for new furniture. Maybe it gives you some ideas for your own house decorations. This Ikea has a convenient location next to highway 400 at highway 7. And after you are done walking around te store you can finish your store visit with a $1 frozen yoghurt . read more

The epitome of poor customer service. Complete & total lack of customer focus. The staff at the pick-up counter were more interested in telling stories and "shooting the breeze" than looking after the waiting customers. We waited forty five (45) minutes, and had to ask twice where our goods were. One fella was walking around, socializing with work mates, with his pants down around his knees and his underwear hanging out. With every couple of steps he had to pull up his pants. We asked him for our order and he walked away and never came back to the front...... although we watched him "fornicating the canine" around the back. When we got "pointed" in asking for our goods, a lady walked about fifteen feet away, behind a chain, and got our order...... where it had sat for at least 30 minutes. No customer care, no apology, no supervision. Will not be back..... ever! read more

Hate the breakfast (My taste) Good Meatballs, Nice fries. Ikea tries it's best to make the food healthy. They have a good "food court" downstairs where EVERYONE wants to get the frozen yogurt. Mainly rating the restaurant here, the recent changes to their kids meals. I've always found it to be a great place for families and kids to get a big space to have affordable meals and eat comfortably. Recently they've made some changes. Kids meals are $2.99, that is unchanged. But they used to include apple slices, a small yogurt, and a small carton of milk. Quite nice, so we loved it. On a recent trip, we were told that the yogurt and apple slices were no longer included. But they'll give you a stamp on your receipt for a free frozen yogurt on your way out (at the check out area). A frozen yogurt isn't exactly what I want to give my kids every time and we may not have the time to wait in line to redeem it or have hands to carry it out after checking out. Just wanted to share in case some parents on here loved the IkEA kids meals as much as I did. Why are you cheating out IKEA? read more

IKEA is a good store. The knock I have against them is their returns area. The wait to return an item or replace a broken part can be excessive. On Saturday, after waiting to speak with an IKEA employee it took another 40 minutes of waiting while they retrieved a replacement part. Honestly - I could have gotten the box in a few minutes. They get parts from a box off the shelf, if it is not one of the common parts behind the returns counter. The service is great, it is just too slow. read more

Feb 2015 - bought a mattress from IKEA and had no issues with the purchase. very good service. thankfully I did not pay $59 for delivery (brought the mattress home myself). I paid $10 to IKEA to arrange for their delivery company, Urban Express, to pick up my old mattress and its turned into a big problem. IKEA did not forward the order to the trucking company so I have a king size mattress waiting for pickup in my living room. then IKEA didn't return my call with a new pickup time as they assured me they would. I called again and now have a new pickup time. ADVICE to others based on my experience, expect disappointment if you plan for IKEA to do delivery or pickup. shame that they are having problems with delivery/pickup. read more

bad customer service. got 2x LJUSA price tags shown $5.99 each. ended up system charged me $6.99 each. (Paid by cash)I asked the cashier to get back my price different. They said have to do at return department. Wait 10mins there. they asked me my personal information...... ok fine. After all the process, they said they don't have $2.26 cash, need to wait for 10mins to get some cash (The whole return department does not have $2.26 cash???) . they can either put the refund to my debit card or a gift card which I don't have my debit card with me. finally, i got a $2.26 gift card ...... Over all, we like IKEA. It's well laid out, in that if you follow the arrows, you don't miss anything. Food is pretty decent too - especially for a department store. However, this time, we couldn't get our item at the self pickup, so paid & went to the pickup area. We paid at 13:28, so handed in our order by 13:30. At 14:05, I asked at the desk. Others had come & gone -- guessing they misfiled our order because according to their screen, our order was still in the "received" column. The guy said he'd talk to the warehouse. Meanwhile, more people came & went. At 14:25, went up to the counter to check again. We are finally getting our item at 14:32 after more than an hour. That's a bit ridiculous! They say that it's because there's only one driver to pick items off the high shelves in the warehouse, but considering the number of people who came & went in between, I'm guessing they somehow misplaced our order until I went back up to inquire. read more

i had an absolute nightmare trying to return an online order to IKEA Vaughan. despite calling the central IKEA helpdesk a number of times to ensure i was following correct protocol, the third party courier who delivered my item for return - an item which was clearly marked with all of the necessary reference numbers and order numbers and other information, was given *gift cards to return to me*. when i called back to find out what the hell had gone wrong, i was informed by IKEA that this is completely unheard of and has nothing to do with standard protocol. the gift cards were canceled. i then had to call back again because, ten days later, despite having received the item and messed up the refund with the gift cards, IKEA Vaughan STILL had not managed to confirm my item in the system as having been returned. i wasted so much time on the phone over this mess. HOURS OF MY LIFE I WILL NEVER GET BACK! thanks, IKEA Vaughan, for being a total disaster. read more
