Delicious Swedish meatballs at their food court. $10 for 8 meatballs with 2 sides but they gave me some extra meatballs.
    Renato M.

This IKEA is near Newark's airport in Elizabeth and offers the usual furniture, decor, kitchen gadgets and the delicious Swedish meatballs at their food court. As always with ikea it's hard to tag someone if you need help so get ready to do your own research. On the positive side it's great to be able to shop without annoying pushy salespeople. Keep in mind they open somewhat late at 11am on weekdays and 10am on weekends so don't go too early. I recommend going between 11am and 2pm on weekdays since it's somewhat empty at that time. There's a huge parking lot so parking shouldn't be an issue. While some of staff members are friendly, some of them look miserable and put zero effort to assist. For example, the lady handling returns and one of the guys from the food court. They should work for the DMV!

I love coming to shop at Ikea. They have a great selection of everything that you would need for your home. And they have a great food court. I especially love their Swedish Meatballs combo meal. Its very food and a staple for Ikea. The Swedish meatballs are delicious and i love the lingonberry sauce the give you on the side. A solid meal to snack on while you shop here.

We placed a click and collect order. The staff at the counter clearly annoyed at helping people. The gentleman (young, kind of heavyset) was absolutely nasty. Terrible attitude for a customer service role. Rather than explain the parking system for assistance - he was curt and miserable. Value for the furniture was fair- it's IKEA.

It's extremely clean, organized, and simple to find yourself around. And the products are reliable

We all love an occasional trip to IKEA, and today we drove to the Elizabeth location for the first time. Most IKEAs are similar in their offerings, but I'd say this one felt a little less nice and maybe a little smaller than the Red Hook counterpart. My biggest gripe with this location is the cafeteria. We wanted to enjoy our Sunday lunch here, and with not even that many people in line.... Maybe seven families ahead of us. We waited for more than thirty minutes!!! More than thirty minutes in line for cafeteria style plating - precooked food that is scooped onto a tray. The people serving were beyond slow, chatting among themselves, and so so so inefficient. It had been more than 5 years since I've eaten at IKEA. The food itself is very good for what it is. There's something comforting about eating peas, mashed potatoes, and meatballs with gravy. Under-seasoned in the best way? I wonder if the cafeteria is always that slow or if it was an off day. Get the pear soda!

The IKEA 6-drawer shite bedroom dresser before assembly

For only $199, the IKEA Kilberget six-drawer white dresser can be purchased online, quickly picked up at the store, or delivered. For pickup (Click and Collect Curbside service), Excellent text message service and designated parking are available to inform the store of your arrival and where you park. When we arrived to pick up the dresser, the clerk put it in the car, and off we went. IKEA, thank you for the affordable furniture that serves the purpose.

Worst IKEA ever! Staff are not friendly and ONE CASHIER open for the entire store so as usual when you come to this store bake in an extra 30-45 minutes for waiting on line to pay.

We stopped by this location before heading home to get a snack. The store was huge and had a similiar layout to other IKEAs. You can walk through the showroom or go straight to the restaurant or warehouse. We stopped by at the restaurant before visiting the showroom. The line to be served was empty and there were a few people eating. We ordered our food and the server gave my friends extra meatballs without them asking. We assumed because they were closing within the hour. When we went to pay, we noticed the cashier charged us for the extra meatballs even though we didn't ask for it. My friend enjoyed their cake and meatballs. I was a bit disappointed with the chicken tenders. The meat is now processed and had that spongy meat compound texture instead of the whole white meat option they used to have. The food was lukewarm but it was filling and affordable for the cost. I am disappointed that the quality of the chicken tenders has gone down because that was my favorite thing to get here.

Im a big IKEA fan.. my house is full of IKEA stuff.. when we moved to NJ, the first shop we went was IKEA. really affordable pricing, and it looks great.. they also are easy to install, and there are guides to install all furnitutes.. Weekends are just a little crazy . it takes a longggggg time for billing.. service could be better.. we love the marketplace and lighitng sections.. you can just pick up stuff from marketplace and bill them directly. There is also a AS-IS section with good discounts.. No returns on AS-IS.. They have a restaurant , but the food is average. not much tasty, but for the price its fine. Parking is crazy on weekends.. try going on weekday, and you will enjoy shopping.. Like this place overall..

This place is 100% designed by a mad scientist who likes making mazes for rats. Even with the maps and signs for directions, you'll be confused where the exit is. This place is really expansive with 2 massive floors and will feel like an infinite loop if you don't pay attention. I'd recommend looking at what you want to buy online first and then try picking up in store since they supposedly save taxes if you buy in store.

The location is superbly accessible occupying a major corner of the vast mall with a major exterior and two exterior loading areas, 1 adjacent to the exterior door and a proper loading dock on the side by arrangement / request. The interior door is very large, as are all retailer's here, and is immediately adjacent to the restroom hallway in this sector of the mall (those familiar know restrooms are a bit of a distance from most spots). The space is always very well swept and kept with spacious warehouse ceiling, copious lighting, and clarion categorization inside evident from anywhere on the floor. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful with any number of questions from us from borrowing a ruler or a scissor to chasing down an SKU and installation advice. The inventory is more or less the complete width thus not just expected furniture but also lighting, curtain rods, kids' backpacks, bath and kitchen accessories, textiles, fireplace covers & pokers, etc. There is no final clearance section as they're located in their respective category's area. There's a bathroom and water fountain in the store though unclear if they're for customers as are typically partly obscured by some ad hoc storage and janitorial equipment. Major downsides are some categories like curtain rodes are a hopeless mass of messily laid boxes often without labels or even SKUs and potentially incomplete though one can't open all boxes to examine so it's almost unusable. The sofas sell out steadily so one should be able to act timely. The chairs also seem to cycle thru quite speedily which is good and bad both, greatest challenge being if you need more than 3 of a style. Overall, great location and realization of the brand for the patient!
