Brought my kids here for the first time and they crushed the Swedish meatball plate with potatoes, peas and that delicious lingonberry sauce. Food was hot yummy and a price you cannot beat. We finished the meal with Swedish chocolate which is in abundance at Ikea. Its been a long time but we will be back

Came for their annual Christmas Julbord. The spread of food options is not as vast as prior to COVID when we came for the first time. There were so much food to try that were not usually available for the everyday menu. The service was friendly and helpful. We got through the line pretty good with about an hour to eat our food before the next seating time at 6:00pm. They had a mini orchestra to play music while we eat for entertainment. There use to be a cash bar but that's not available now. I love the warm glög with sliver almonds and raisins. The salmon was a little too salty but had a nice doneness. The plant meatballs were tasty. I didn't expect I would like it but it was good. The cucumber salad was ok. The egg and shrimp salad was different. The dill potatoes salad was good. It was nice that we could drop our daughters off at the kids club to play while we had some adult time to enjoy our meals. Would definitely recommend checking out their Julbord to enjoy a little holiday festivity.

Wow Swedish cuisine, never tried before! Kids Swedish Meatballs - four meatballs with potatoes and gravy, tangy cranberry sauce is the perfect value shopping snack 10/10 Kids veggie balls - decent flavor, the red "gravy" tastes like Ajvar to me (sweet red pepper sauce). The steamed vegetables are just that 6/10 Mac N Cheese - gooey Mac n cheese, standard flavor, ticks the box just fine 7/10 Coffee - low quality but it's coffee! 8/10 Vibe - nostalgic cafeteria experience 10/10

Such a good and cheap dinner!! My friend and I picked up a too good to go bag from the IKEA restaurant and got to try some new items we hadn't ordered before. The Mac n Cheese is incredible!! I don't know how I haven't tried it before but it was so nostalgic and the perfect balance of creamy sauce with curly noodle. The chicken tenders were also a favorite. A new favorite of ours was the lingenberry slushie (under $2)! It comes in a large cup and taste super fresh with the juice it's made with.

    Hi! In Swedish!

Took my niece to IKEA as she has never been there! We decided to have dinner first before we hit all the fun Swedish home accessories. We were both craving some Swedish meatballs, but the veggie balls and the marinated salmon salad plate bit looked good too. We had it all and dessert! The Swedish meatball dinner comes with 8 meatballs, mashed potatoes, gravy, peas and lingonberry jam. It was fresh, hot and as always, the lingonberry jam is sooo good! The veggie balls were in a tomato based sauce and came with fresh mixed veggies. Again....so good. The marinated salmon plate was not what I expected but it was tasty. It came with a dill potato salad and a lettuce salad. For dessert, we split the strawberry cake and cheesecake. Loved the cheesecake! Visiting IKEA always takes a few hours and there's no better plan than to enjoy their Swedish cafe while you're there! Def recommend!

Have been a few times before shopping to get some free coffee and a swedish crepe. It's exactly what you expect for the price you pay and there's nothing wrong with that. The lingonberry jam is worth the price of admission. This time we got to go to their annual Julbord Christmas Buffet and it was exactly what I expected for $20. Pretty much all you can eat of their normal restaurant and market offerings with a few specials thrown in. It was really well put on and executed. Lots of people but everyone was seated quickly and there lines didn't take forever. The entire staff was kind and helpful. They also had a string band playing holiday tunes which was very relaxing. Even asked how close we wanted to sit to them. Ate my weight in salmon, both baked and gravlox. I'm a sucker for pickled herring but I know it's not everyone's cup of tea. They had those fish, cheese, crackers, meat & vegetarian meatballs, mashed & gratin potatoes, ham, gravy, and jam. You could also grab some pickled cabbage, apple and beet salad, cucumber dill salad, shrimp & egg salad, rolls, and flat bread. For desserts there was daisum cake, spiced cookies, coffee cake, coconut & chocolate bonbon, frangipane bars, rice pudding, and a few lindzer cookies. Also had glogg that wasn't warm; butt still tasted good. Overall I'd say it's definitely an experience and I got my money's worth. Probably don't need to do it again. That won't stop me stopping in for the occasional coffee and crepe, though!

It was my first time in Bloomington location since I just moved to the midwest. They have a big parking garage and easy access to the entrance. The bistro is at the end of the store which was convenient. The swedish meatballs was a delight and tasty as always. The service was efficient and ambience was pretty busy since we went on a holiday.

Dairy-free meal: regular Swedish meatballs with the plant-based topping and veggies, plus lingonberry sauce.

It had been a long time since I ate in the Ikea restaurant, and I was pleasantly surprised at some of the changes they had made over that period. Their menu has evolved to be both healthier and also meet more dietary restrictions. They now have plant-based options, and you can mix and match options if you have a food intolerance or allergy. I tried their plant-based meal, but with actual meatballs, which is a nice dairy-free alternative to their standard meatball meal. I liked all the veggies that came with it, and the slightly spicy, tomato based sauce was definitely better than the standard gravy. I also tried parts of the chicken finger meal, which is also dairy-free, and thought that was a pretty good (and filling) dairy-free option as well. One thing I like about the Ikea restaurant is all their weekly meal deals, and depending on whether you are brining a group or have kids, you might be able to eat here very cheaply (check their website for the current deals, they change). In our case, two adults and one child ate for about $25, a bargain for all the food we got. Additionally, our child loved watching airplanes outside the big windows and playing in the child play area. All in all, the Ikea restaurant is a great value place to enjoy a meal with lots of options.

Ikea Restaurant has many options, swedish meatballs are always a go-to food choice when I'm there. The staff is friendly and the service is fast. They have a large dining area with window seats.

Cheap, mediocre at best. But I feel like that's the point of IKEA lol. Saving a buck but experiencing the side effects hahah

Meh! We so wanted to love Gustaf's coming for Mother's Day. My rating is neutral as I didn't hate…read moreit or love it. Perhaps we have to blame it on the holiday, however, the service and credit card fees are a reflection of this rating. My mom reserved a table for 3 and we felt rushed to order and weren't told about the special Mother's Day menu that would end at 1 pm and not begin on the secondary menu at 2 pm with a noon reservation. We got our order placed in time and I had no issues with the meal as the portion size of the egg bake was was perfection. Our server disappeared once our food was distributed which was a bummer as my mom wanted more coffee. When we went to pay, we were all surprised with the debit/ credit fee of (I believe almost 3%). I have to argue that in today's market as a business, you have got to find ways to omit this fee or very clearly advertise cash only. Lastly, mothers were to get a flower at the table and my mom did not. I understand it said "while supplies last", however, with reservations, this should have been easy to count and distribute accordingly. The ambiance of this old historic building are my style as I appreciate any place that has been preserved. The city of Lindstrom is also such a special place. Proceed here with caution as there are good and bad.
