I called and made an appointment with Jacob after seeing some of his work on Facebook. I arrived at my appointed time and was greeted by a receptionist and was offered a drink and a cookie. Jacob walked in as soon as I sat down, so I had really no wait time, which was nice. I was asked what I was looking for, and what kind of expectations I had of my hair. After a brief discussion, the stylist began to work on my hair. He was professional and yet conversational and interesting throughout. I had more fun getting my hair done than I have ever had at a salon! Back to the service provided, Jacob gave a scalp massage during the shampoo, trimmed the stragglers that my (ex) stylist had left when she cut my hair, styled it beautifully when the color was done, and overall was just exceptional. He also advised me on letting my hair grow out, which I had asked about. The color and highlights I had done were certainly more expensive than a box of hair dye would have been, but they also look 100% better and were worth every penny. A hair cut and style, with a true professional and at such a beautiful salon, are just a few dollars higher than at the bargain basement places in town. I will definitely be going back!

We turned back without a map thinking we went the wrong way - rookie mistake but wish we would have been told to grab a map prior to heading out. Or be handed one as newbies... The owner I believe lives in the facility as well, and it was Easter weekend. He was talkative first night upon check in and did stop by outside to chat. The waterfall was not working and he said maybe he'd get it working by the time we left. Not a big deal, but never did turn on. It was odd that his family lived there or was visiting for Easter so we did feel a little like intruders over the weekend. Room: was freezing cold, and first night the heat was not working well. We did have a fireplace in the room but the unit to use for heat was not working no matter what we tried even with staff assistance. The bathroom was freezing and we had to use a space heater to try to warm it. We did complain the second night and nothing was fixed as owner was having Easter dinner upstairs with his family. Hot Tub: clean, small and perfect for 2 people. Made the trip. Didn't use the small table fire pit. They don't tell you that they drop off deserts at night and the next morning we woke up with melted ice cream outside the room. Communication breakdown. Coffee was folders, nothing great but did have a selection of offerings for breakfast time. Staff workers were amazing - kind and super friendly given that it was Easter weekend. You can tell they do try to give you the best experience. The staff hired here were amazing and friendly. Games are available for the rainy days. TV has most steaming services, rooms a tad older look. Somethings not functioning - like the sound machine, TV being finicky, and heat in room. We probably will not choose this room. Would rather stay at the rooms that are on the river and try that route next time!

It is relaxing and soothing and loosens your muscles before a deep tissue massage. They have such an array of services, and they are always kind in explaining them to you. Unlike other spas in the area, they do not try to "upsell" you on services or products, they genuinely care about their clients, and that is evident. To address a previous reviewer, when you first become a client, you sign a standard cancellation policy, their policy is visible immediately upon each check-in, and it's included at the bottom of every appointment confirmation. If you cancel in under 24 hours, the therapist scheduled to serve you has to scramble to fill that slot - or they will not be paid. That is how service businesses work. I would never seen an issue with paying a cancellation fee if I wasn't responsible enough to cancel within 24 hours. I am not affiliated with the business except as a very happy client who understands the need to be respectful of staff in this type of business and feel the need to refute a negative comment made out of anger and that mentioned disrespect.

She did make me feel a little guilty about not getting massages more often- she stated at least once a quarter. And after our session, I believe I will make it a mission to do just that.
