Sitting next to me was what looked like three dried tomatoes in a line with some kind of greens across the bottom. The food was delicious and filling. I got the Caesar salad and a salmon pasta with some kind of lemon sauce and my favourite tiramisu. When I am back in Tralee next month I will likely pay another visit.

They accommodated our party of two which was extremely nice of them. It took a while until a server came to take our drink and good order. The garlic Parmesan Caesar salad was underwhelming (the lettuce pale and lacking freshness). My chicken mushroom risotto had so much black pepper I was constantly coughing from the spice. I quietly noted it to the server and a while later, the 'head' server (it may have been the owner) came over and said they don't put pepper in their risotto and implied I put it there. They did offer to make me something else from the menu. Overall they were professional but were insulting in assuming I put the pepper there. The photo shows how well incorporated the pepper was when I received it. It really doesn't deserve more words. It was just unfortunate. I can't say I'd go back just on one negative experience. It may have simply been unlucky incident for them but accusations are off putting.

The frutta di mare dish was alittle disappointing it lacked flavor and the prawns and mussels were small, considering it was the highest cost item on the menu they can use larger ingredients. We had a group of 12 and the place was not that busy during dinner, we asked the waitress if the chef can come out and see us so we could complement some of his dishes and she comes back saying we can stop by the kitchen on our way out! Really! We probably spent the most money that evening. Sounds like the owner chef needs some training in restaurant hospitality and the waitress lost an opportunity for a 20% tip. This is what happens when tips are not part of their compensation in Ireland. Anyway good food for sure.
