This pizza joint was delicious!!! Been living in the area for about 3years and decided to try it for the first time. My family and I ordered a Large Pepperoni and a Medium Cheese no complaints. Service was great from the staff!! Recently changed names to IL Paesano Pizza & Pasta

Adults are suppose to be people that give guidance - WAY TO GO SALS

"managers" at Sal's need to learn some manners and professionalism- tonight in front of customers- the owner FIRED a driver - very rudely - from this my daughter who has worked there for about 3 months- she's been telling me that she's been getting talked down too, ignored and talked about as she walks away- I allowed her to voice her concern and quit tonight- it wasn't taken well and the "Manager" decided to respond as was expected- DO BETTER SAL's !!!!

Example of the large overdone crust

Save your money and calories and go elsewhere. They changed the name from Sals to il Paesano....emphasis on the il or ewww is more like it. It was mediocre at best when it was Sals and still the same. We thought they might have someone decent making a pizza on a Saturday night. No such luck. Sometimes you might hit the jackpot and get a better one than you would during the week. Nope! Ordered a large cheese and a large White Florentina. Supposed to be garlic on the Florentina. Not a hint of it. Overdone. You always get about 2" at least of crust on all of their pizzas. Bottom crust is always caked with flour. We actually stopped going here for a year or more because it was always disappointing. Sad when frozen pizza is a better option. You do not go here if you want and crave pizza. You go here if you need it immediately and are too lazy to drive to north Suffolk or elsewhere to get it. At least with Papa John's and other similar places you will save yourself some money. You at least know what you are getting there. It would be nice to get your money back ($42 for this and a large cheese) when you are served tasteless junk like this. Heed the warning.

Sals has never been my first choice in the area, but I will eat it occasionally as I feel like it is significantly overpriced for the value of the food. Today we ordered Sals for my work lunch. I ordered boneless wings and garlic knots. The boneless wings were just frozen nuggets that had lemon pepper on them, and my garlic knots had a 1.5-2" black hair baked into the garlic knot. I immediately threw all the food away and that will be the last time I eat there.

We randomly found this place while exploring Suffolk and stopped in. I'm so glad we did. The salad was crisp, the pizza was amazing. We ordered the mac and cheese for our three year old, fully expecting nothing more than boxed stuff, but what came out was quite frankly the creamiest and most delicious mac I've ever had. I ordered stuff shells. Perfection. Eat here, I promise you won't regret it! *they also do a GREAT job managing Covid risks so remember your mask!

Sals moved over near Food Lion and we ended up there on their grand opening... it was great! The food was awesome! We had never been and wow. Shocking. For the price you absolutely cannot beat the portions! It was absolutely delicious! Service was friendly and the restaurant was extremely clean. I recommend the fried zucchini and if you get a calzone GET A SMALL!!! I got a small and I'm scared to see how big the large one is. I couldn't finish but 1/4 of it!

The Monster! It's hard to tell just how big it is!

We were in town visiting my sister and needed to feed the kids so we called Sal's and ordered a Monster sized cheese pizza for a mere $19.99 and the bonus was it came with a free small cheese pizza. After hubby picked it up and brought it home the kids consumed all but 3 slices of the monster pizza and all of the small. It was breakfast the next day. The taste was okay but the sauce could have used a bit more seasoning. The crust was a tad bit soggy so don't expect a crunch when you dig in! We added our own spices on top and didn't get the toppings offered because it was an additional $3.50 per topping. The plain cheese did the job. Would I order pizza again? Probably, especially if there are multiple teens involved. Would I try other items on the menu based on the pizza? Probably not but you never know! :)

Love getting a green pepper covered in hair. X3

I just moved to this location and "sals" got wonderful reviews from family and friends. Upon the arrival after a 72 min wait we have found 3 long hairs my wife's first bite in a calzone turned into a long blond hair baked into it along with the picture posted and one under the calzone shameful because I was very excited to eat here.....

First time here for dinner and it did Not disappoint, didn't think dinner could to lunch but it did. It was busier too and service was excellent and food still amazing and didn't take forever either. Can you say WINNING!! I had their fettuccine chicken Alfredo for the first time and it was rather tasty. Typically I add broccoli, but I didn't and it was still yummy. My daughter actually got my usual the baked ziti which she enjoyed and I ordered a to go one to take home to my bottomless pit son and youngest daughter too. We opted for no desserts because we were just too full but think I'll have to make a return trip just for dessert one day because those looked yummy as well!! It wasn't too noisy at night, but definitely a tad louder than during the day but to be expected on a busy holiday weekend. Parking is ample in this shopping center so no worries here on that. Come check them out you will leave satisfied.

If you have TV's in the dining area or you serve pizza or beer? It's not fancy. The cake was really good. The pasta wasn't bad. Bread could've been better. Salad was fine. I'd go back if I had some money to spend and was in the area.

We came for lunch and had a wonderful meal. I have not had a better pizza than this in many years!…read moreIt reminded me of the pizzas I used to get in New Jersey back in the 60's. (Yes, the 1960's.) The crust was soft and flavorful. (I usually cannot taste the salt in pizza dough but I sure can tell if it's omitted! Al Forno's was perfect.) The sauce was delicately but perfectly seasoned. We added feta cheese and onion to the pizza. The cheese serving was generous and the onion flavor really came through. The side order meatball was larger and tastier than most other restaurant's meatballs. It was served in a bed of marinara sauce with a basil leaf adornment. My ravioli was tender and sized just right. The dining area was sparkling clean. Our service was friendly and reliable. The only issue we had was that we had to move from a booth to a table as the raised rim that kept the seat cushion in place was cutting into our thighs, making it a little uncomfortable. I look forward to being a regular customer!

It came out to about $100. The "Pizza Delish" wasn't even that good. Crust was ok. Didn't seem to have any sauce or seasoning. MINIMAL cheese, and I couldn't even tell that there was feta on it. It claimed to have "caramelized onions," ummm no---it was very obvious that said onions were put on the pizza raw prior to going into the oven. The "roasted peppers" were bland. Their cake was delicious but not enough to redeem their lack of quality and pricing with the pizza. Go to Joe's in Camptown--theyre less expensive and a heck of a lot better.

As a result, my husband and I went by here yesterday to pick up two large pizzas for a pizza party we were having for my aunt who's celebrating another birthday. Happy birthday Aunt Donna! Nevertheless, we arrived about 3:30p 3:45p on a Saturday and it wasn't busy at all. My husband was able to walk in order two pizzas and we were in and out and about 20-25 minutes. We drove another 15 minutes to the house before we began to dive into the pizza. We ordered the thin crust with only pepperoni and oh my gosh it was so good!! Again we attended a pizza party and this was the best pizza hands down out of I think six places people brought pizza from this was the first to go so good so fresh! I love thin crust highly recommend you check out Rita's if you haven't before. The parking no issue at all and you don't necessarily need to call it in either you can just walk up order your pizza and get it in a reasonable amount of time. It's located in a shopping center in Portsmouth so you have other shops that you can browse around well not necessarily shop, but I believe there is a brewery next door but your time will not be wasted while waiting for this goodness! I would order again when I am at my moms and she is wanting a pizza with peppers and onions. It's also reasonably priced and they do have some carry out specials.
