I also really like that they offer dessert options sometimes you want something sweet after pizza, and they have that covered. Their pepperoni pizza is one of my go-tos. If you like a doughy pizza, this is definitely your spot. The crust is soft, chewy, and filling. And the pepperoni? This is my nearby Cal'z and, to be honest, I was a loyal Chanello's customer. I have been in here several times after Chanello's pissed me off with their poor service. Everyone in there was pleasant, even on a Friday night, when they're super slammed. I ordered a pepperoni calzone with extra cheese and onion rings. Both were delicious!! The calzone was perfectly cooked! It was crispy at the edges, yet able to still be cut. It had enough sauce in it and my extra sauce was warm, not like it was just pulled outta the fridge!! Originally, we liked this place instead of the chain restaurants around here. The wings are "meh", the sandwiches are "meh", pretty much everything on the menu other than the calzones and pizza is "meh". The problem we are having is the food is never consistent. If you know anything about authentic original Buffalo style wings then this is the place for you. Others claim they have it, some say they are better, but noting is like the original. Specifically located on the South-side of Tidewater Virginia (which means its not on the Peninsula of that area and my wife pleaded with them to open a store there that has not been answered) this place brings a large hint of Buffalo to the Tidewater area. Wings are fried naked with no seasoning, that's in the sauce. After the fry, they toss them in some of the best sauces in the area. This store had GREAT customer service, there are so customer oriented. They make sure you get the best food they have to offer. I grew up on Cal'z. In high school, me and my friends would order from the Hampton Blvd location literally every week like clockwork. Couldnt get enough. I have eaten in just about every location in the Vi Beach/Norfolk area and this location(5 Points) is easily the best. Not quite as good as they used to be but I still don't think anyone does it better, in terms of subs in Norfolk. Still the best Chicken Parm sub you'll find anyone. Love their steak and cheese(not a cheesesteak but steakums or 'grub' steak as we like to call it). Love their Cal'zones. Though I'm not a big fan of their pizza, I love their sauce. Wasn't a fan of the cleanliness of the shop. Personally I'd do a deep cleaning of that place. But let's talk quality of the food. Truthfully, I wasn't a huge fan of the pizza. The calzone was combined with american cheese and it had more american cheese than it did mozarella. Wasn't a huge fan of that. I'm not sure what's going on with the cheese on the pizza.
