My husband and I went to the Valentine's dinner dance. It was a 4 hour event that included a wide variety of food, open bar and a DJ. The venue was beautifully decorated for the event. The staff was friendly and the food was absolutely fantastic. It was a sold out event so I was glad we bought our tickets in time. I only took one plate photo of the food because there were so many options, it would have taken all night to take more! I can't say enough about the team at Il Palazzo! They recently catered my daughter's Bat Mitzvah and everyone could not stop talking about the food! The team working the event were so wonderful and Nicole and Sal - amazing and accommodating every step of the way. I was literally trying to come up with another event just to have them cater, but the great news is that they also run the restaurant and we will be back again soon! I have been here multiple times for catering events and small parties. Every time is a great gathering. The food is always great and the service is fantastic. Parking is easy as they have a small lot out front. The bathroom is due to be updated but no complaints. They do a great job of packing up all the leftover food at the end which is a nice plus to know the food isn't being wasted. read more

Review is for a catered delivery order. Deli sandwiches and wraps were passable but the cold cuts definitely could have been sliced thinner, the ham was very thick. The chicken cutlet and mozzarella sandwiches were the only truly gross thing (quite a few cutlets with hard bits and tendons). Whoever prepares the chicken cutlets for these sandwiches needs to be more particular when trimming and preparing the meat. Potato salad and brownies were excellent! read more

We had my husband's surprise 60th here on 8/25. From the moment we inquired about the facility until the day of event, everything went smoothly. Nicole was a pleasure to work with booking the event. When I say they take care of everything, they take care of everything. We opted for the gold pkg so had buffet appetizers, then the buffet meal and finally fruit, pastries and cake for dessert. All we needed to do was send out the invitations. The day of the event we had 2 wait staff assigned to us. Ann and Mike were a pleasure to work with, were on top of everything, never made you feel rushed and ensured everything was going smoothly! The room is beautifully painted and decorated. Very spacious too! The buffet setup flowed very well! As for the food, everyone was raving about how delicious it was and kept asking if this really was all included in the pkg we chose. I'd tell them yes all included. We only added garlic bread and cannolis! In my experience, it is very rare to find a buffet where all the food is delicious, not dried out, and remains warm! I cannot say enough great things about our experience! If you are looking for a reasonably priced venue with delicious food and exceptional service look no further! I had my daughters graduation party here. From the first email I sent they were very responsive to all my questions . When I decided I wanted to book they sat me down and went over all the details from the bill to the color of linens. When I arrived to set up they offered to unpack my car . I did it myself but just someone caring and asking says a lot. As I was setting up (before the party) they made sure I was okay and served me coffee and water . These things seem very small but I feel like now a days most people don't care . I felt they were appreciative of the business they were getting. The room was beautiful and clean ! The food was amazing. At this time I had brunch . The waiter was super friendly and made sure everything was being done when I wanted it to be done . I didn't like the food at all. We got the garlic bread to eat with our meals. I got a full loaf. It's more garlic bread than you could ever imagine. If I had my entire family over I could have sent them home with garlic bread. We got the eggplant rollatini and as I sit here writing this 2 days later my girlfriend has just finished chewing on her first bite. Hit or Miss My office has eaten here numerous times. On most occasions, we order to go and the drive through window is extremely convenient. We order from their lunch special menu which is pretty reasonable. I personally can recommend the gnocchi with chicken in Gorgonzola sauce. Most of the time the food is pretty good but then again: Today my office went to eat in as it was a co-workers birthday. We had forgotten that unless we have an hour and 1/2(at least) for our lunch break....Don't Eat In! We sat there for over a 1/2 hour before we realized that we had to take our order to go. Upon arriving back at the office, the reviews from my coworkers are as follows: Shrimp Scampi (Mine) It was tasty but nothing to write home about Baby Back Ribs (My Pregnant Co-Worker) 1.They were not baby back ribs 2. No Coleslaw as advertised(pickles substituted...she may be pg but she doesn't want pickles) 3. Onion rings were requested and fries were given 4. The ribs tasted old & dry 5. They used extra bbq sauce in a failed attempt to camouflage the dryness 6. Not ONE item on the plate was as advertised. Cheese Ravioli Parmigiana The ravioli was ok but the sauce was watery. We are hoping that their version of "light sauce" was not to add water to it. She just meant a little sauce. Burger & FF which she substituted Onion Rings: One step above fast food. Tuna Sandwich (The Boss) Special Request: Olives & Pickles with nothing other than tuna: The boss says it was tasty ...as usual (he gets the same every time :) ) Tilipia with salad: A nice & tasty large piece of fish on a very sad small amount of salad. I am giving 3 stars as we can not define our entire experiences with this restaurant by this visit. If we did, the score would have been one based on my pregnant co-worker's order alone. The pizza is among the best around, the chicken parm heroes used to be so big, you couldn't close them, but over the years they are closer to normal size, but still very good and made with real chicken. My husband and I moved to the area about 6 years ago...truthfully it took us a couple years to try Il Palazzo...it just looks a little funny from the outside. I am glad we stopped judging a book by its cover. Delicious homemade meals, family run, family friendly. I will say that I do not like the way the eggplant parm/rollentini is prepared but overall it is good food that is close to my house. My 2.5 year old son is welcome there and offered extra food or cheese if we ask for some at no charge. I have seen the owner through 2 pregnancies since we started dining at this establishment...atmosphere is important and though it is small and not much to look at the people are nice. read more

The place has a couple fairly nice banquet halls. They aren't large, but they're good for a birthday party or some such event. I think that's where the pros end, though. For a pizzeria, they are a little overpriced, and their pizza is sub-par at best. I have yet to have a meal from there that I would call good in any way. If you want a place to host a party for some kids who don't know any better, and you want to have it catered on the cheap, Il Pilazzo might be the place for you. If you're looking for a decent pizza or some other quick Italian for a movie night at home, you'll probably be better off going elsewhere. read more

We had my son's 2nd birthday party here if I was rating just the food I would have given 2 1/2 - 3 stars but throw in the service and you get my 1 star rating We were assigned 2 servers who were missing most of the evening 3 times we had to go looking for them in the back where they were on their phones. Our party was for 4 hours 1 hour and 45 minutes into the party they were pushing us to have our cake. But the real kick in the teeth came when I got my final bill the charges were as listed in the menu but there was a $150 service charge on the bill we inquired if this was the gratuity but were told no and the girl said she hears people complain about that all the time I guess we are not the only people that the owner puts in a surprise charge. I will never use this place again and I will not be recommending this place to anyone I do not appreciate extra charges tacked on they were not part of our contract read more

I had called Thursday of last week to see if they would be taking regular orders on Christmas Eve and they said yes. So I went to order on Christmas Eve and I said I would like to place an order and the owner said we are not taking orders and hung up in me!!! So I called back and told him that it was rude and I was told they would take orders he told me he was way to busy with regular orders. I said that I was going there for 35 plus years. Today, we came in for lunch and had some plain and simple pizza. It was very good. Their lunch special prices are attractive and the food fills you up. I had a pasta dish here once that was good as well. Today I had a personal sausage pizza (small size) with a good thin crust. The interior ambiance is warm and hospitable as the place is family owned. Our waitress (might have been the owner) was very kind, warm, and courteous. They do catering to large parties as well and have other beautiful areas of the restaurant including a nice large formal dining room. The arrangements were completed within minutes and they took care of everything from there. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. We felt well cared for. My family eats here on a regular basis. The lunch specials are great- my very picky 3 year old loves the penne vodka pasta, and I am very satisfied with with the chicken gorgonzola gnocchi dish. My husband is addicted to their cheesesteak. The chicken soup is homemade and has become a comfort to my family when someone is sick... There is a never ending supply of warm bread to go with the meal. The owners are warm and friendly, and very accommodating. The also have a great wine selection available and perfectly portioned desserts. Tonight I will dream of tiramisu.... As for a previous post about "management allowed screaming children to ruin the meals of others"- that would be the fault of the PARENTS, not the establishment.
