This place is known for their fried seafood, and it's usually better to get the seafood during the daytime. As by night, their fried items get very moisturized and no longer crispy.

A lovely lunch or snack to split while exploring the 5 terre. Highly recommend the spicy mayo and an extra lemon . Very delicious and fresh.

Clever street food As soon as we arrived at 5 terre we spotted someone walking around with a cone of seafood. That looked so good and clever, on our first full day we hunted down one of the places that sells them, Il Pescato Cucinato. We discovered there is a variety of options on what you want, I went with Fish & Chips, my wife had a mixed fish cone. This is more than just a snack, there was plenty of food to make it a meal on the go. My small pieces of battered fish were not cooked that well, but this is fun eating. They give you lemon on a long sharp stick that can also use to spear things deep in the point of the cone. Service was friendly and efficient and we were in and out pretty quickly. There are a couple of benches just outside the door where you can sit, if there is an open spot.

Perfect afternoon treat! The mixed Frito is filled with all the hits; prawns, sardines, calamari, veggies, mozzarella sticks. Great selection of beer, wine, and drinks too. The staff was so happy and friendly. A must!

Wow wow wow! This place rocks! If you're looking for a quick cheap bite on the go while you're in Cinque Terre I highly recommend getting seafood first off and then obviously getting it all fried!! I got the cone with sardines, calamari and shrimp. Ok folks so I'm a Maryland girl which may mean nothing to you but we're basically the seafood capital of shellfish in the good ol USA so I'm picky!!! But omg this was supppperrrrr tasty! I learned I'm not the hugest fan of sardines while having this but the calamari and shrimp were BOMB

This was recommended by our host of our B&B. We told her we wanted something quick and delicious and suggested this place. Got the large combination of fried seafood plus vegetables. Seafood included anchovies, calamari, shrimp, and what she called baby fish. It was delicious. Great place to grab a quick bite to eat.

If you like seafood, this is probably a must try in Riomaggiore. My favorite were the anchovies. Cash only, no seating inside, but that's perfectly okay as most of us should probably be walking anyways to take in the scenery.

Soooo sad to leave this review, because I was beyond excited to try this place after reading a glowing blog post on it in addition to all the other positive comments. I went around 5 pm on a Tuesday after a long day of hiking, and the pans were reasonably full. I ordered the grande cone (on accident) and chose the mix. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that the warming pans aren't that hot; my heart sank with that first tepid, soggy bite. (I have a stomach of steel, but ... isn't that also kind of a food safety concern? Ha.) It's a small mom-and-pop shop, so I didn't want to ask them for a fresh batch - instead, I asked to have it refried. It helped with the crunch levels, but not with everything else. I ate 1/3 of my cone and trashed the rest - it was unsalvageable. And I never say that! I am tempted to go back and wait around for a fresh, hot batch; but there also are so many other places selling the same thing here that I don't think this one deserves another chance when I'm only here for three days. I am giving two stars because I love the story behind the restaurant and I really am pulling for them. But for €10 (which I think is a very reasonable price for how generous the portion size was), I really expected much better. For what it's worth, I can tell, even through the lukewarm temps, the anchovies would've been scrumptious if done right, as I'm certain they usually are. :)

A cone of freshly fried seafood? It's the perfect snack to walk around with while you're exploring Riomaggiore. They have a couple of options but I went with the mixed. This comes with shrimp, calamari and anchovies - but I would say it was probably 75% anchovies. Don't leave this village without trying it!

This place is definitely a must go to when in Riomaggiore. They sell fried seafood cones. Seriously delicious, probably one of my favorite things I had when in Italy. This is a fishing village so the fish are fresh and deliciously flavorful. I loved the anchovies which I didn't even think I liked before this. The place is cash only and there is nowhere to sit, just a counter to go up and order. The line was not long and the price was cheap. I highly recommend!

Freshly, lightly fried calamari; the breading doesn't overwhelm, which is great; the crumbly crust of breading made every bite a pleasure. It was piping hot - - but I think I got very lucky; when I walked in, there were sad looking scraps in the calamari bin, but then she heaped a freshly fried batch right over the top, and it was impeccable. Perfect, easy, delicious bite to eat in a town where I spent 35 minutes and then got out of there after a few pix taken - - at least that was better than Vernazza, where the prices were higher, the place was more of a tourist circus, and I only lasted 17 minutes.

Pretty good deep fried sea food. Specially seafood cone - shrimp, calamari, anchovies. Do not be afraid of the line, goes fast.

Bahhhh so yummy. I wouldn't say this place is better than its competitors because frying things probably isn't rocket science, but the food is delicious. I like that you can get a mixed option so we opted for friend squid, anchovies, and white fish. The white fish was particularly scrumptious because it was covered in a salty garlic batter that made it that much more bad for you. They were all different and bloody delicious and I could really go for some right now.

It honestly felt magical. The views are spectacular, with that elevated perspective overlooking the colorful village of Manarola, the vineyards, and the Ligurian Sea. But as beautiful as the setting is, the food really stood on its own. The menu is mainly seafood, and we decided to go all in with an appetizer made up of lots little plates, each offering a different seafood preparation and flavor. There were so many tings to try, and for two serious foodies like us, it was such a fun and enjoyable way to start the meal. Everything felt fresh, interesting, and beautifully prepared. Service was equally impressive: attentive and genuinely friendly, but also knowledgeable. Our server was able to guide us through the menu, making the experience feel casual and easy going. We had such a great time here. Between the incredible views, the atmosphere , and the genuinely outstanding food, Trattoria Billy gave us the very first taste of Cinque Terre and set the tone for what turned out to be a very special stay.

They were definitely the highlight of our visit. The food was good, but not outstanding. The view is beautiful, although after dining at another restaurant in Vernazza, we felt that both the food and the scenery there were even better in Vernazza. Unfortunately, our experience started on a negative note. The person who handled our reservation over the phone made a mistake with our booking. Instead of acknowledging the error, he blamed us, argued with us, and never apologized. After a long, steep climb on a very hot day, this was not the welcoming experience we were hoping for.

And honestly the food was a very pleasant surprise. I was craving steamed mussels, and theirs were absolutely delicious-- fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right.
