Visiting from Ft Myers and our local friend said this was a super restaurant. She was correct! And let me tell you why: Three of us came on a Saturday night (5:30pm) and were sat immediately. Ambiance is super cozy, bright, and Italian music plays lightly in the background while the TV rotates beautifully Italian scenery. We were greeted by Maura who brought waters to the table and we perused the menu. Settling on 2 chicken Marsala and 1 chicken penne alla vodka, we were quite pleased to see the restaurant had become half full! Great sign! Our waitress is one half of the dynamic duo owners Nick & Art. Friendly, smiling and very personal, she served us our pre-dinner soup/salad and piping hot garlic parsley butter rolls. The pre-dinner salad came out and was a decent size; crisp lettuce, big ripe chunk tomato, red onion and olives. My hubby said the Italian dressing was really good. My friend and I had one of the soup specials; pasta fagioli. The soup was seasoned perfectly and plenty of perfectly cooked veggies. Oh, and those garlic butter rolls; forget about it! So dang good, I bet you don't eat just one!! The hubby ordered a glass of Pinot Noir with his dinner and us ladies stuck to water. With dinner served, I wondered how I was going to eat so much food! My chicken alla vodka came enough for 3 people. And no, it wasn't just a plate of pasta; big pieces of grilled chicken mixed through the creamy garlicky vodka pasta. The chicken Marsala came out with 2 giant breasts, seasoned with Marsala sauce and angel hair pasta (or your choice of liking) with plenty of mushrooms. The smell was intoxicating! And again, enough for 2 people. With portions this grand and tastes so big, I can see why at this restaurant was packed! Pizzas flying by, lasagnas, Marsalis, Piccata ... oh my! We were celebrating my hubby's bday and were surprised with staff singing while serving his chocolate peanut butter cake. Moist, not too sweet and enough for us to have a bite while he devoured the rest! Choices of Tiramisu, Key Lime, Cannoli's or chocolate cake is on the menu. Leave room for a sweet nosh, you won't be disappointed. Service was impeccable. Food was amazing and the portions cannot be beat. The staff is super friendly, personable and not pushy. The restaurant is clean, as are the restrooms (this says a lot). This is a great local restaurant, who has taken hospitality to another level. We will be back when visiting in the future. read more

This could've been five stars. Some improvements and it would probably be five stars. This is my first time eating at Il Pomodoro. I've been in the neighborhood a very long time and Ive passed this restaurant many times in the little shopping center. Tonight, I decided to give it a shot. It was exceptionally cold in Florida, really really cold and I wanted some comforting, hot Italian food. The restaurant is not big. I would say about 25 tables and booths. It's very clean looking. A little too dark for me, though as far as seeing. I stood at the counter, waiting to be seated for quite a while, while takeout orders were being placed. Finally, someone said that I can just pick a seat. The server was very friendly, but not very attentive. My appetizers came out relatively quickly, but the dinner was an exceptionally long wait. I don't mind waiting, but it would've been nice for someone to come over and say I'm sorry you're still waiting you know we're busy or something And maybe refill my empty soda. They just let me sit there waiting and waiting and no one said a word until they brought my food and then they apologized. My appetizer was mozzarella sticks. They were good, but there's nothing exciting about mozzarella sticks. The one thing that was spot on was the dipping sauce for the sticks was delicious. To me the star of the show is actually the garlic rolls. A little smaller than your average garlic rolls, but served on a plate, dripping with butter, garlic and seasoning. They were to me, the best part of the meal. The Italian wedding soup was delicious. Filled with little mini meatballs and I think it was broccoli Rab or kale. My penne with vodka sauce and shrimp was huge. A ginormous bowl filled with lovely pasta and a thick, sweet and spicy vodka sauce. Again, my only complaint would be that they leave the tails on the shrimp, which means I have to dig in my pasta with my fingers to pull tails off shrimp that are boiling hot. Not my favorite experience. Overall, it was a good experience and like I said with a few slight improvements, it could be an excellent experience. read more

Met my girlfriend there prior to her moving away for the winter. "Fruits of the Sea" was the seafood special and when I saw that, I knew it was going to me for me. I was NOT disappointed! The salad was crisp; the bleu cheese dressing tasty; the garlic rolls were exactly right. And my meal! There were dozens of mussels and six very large shrimp, all cooked perfectly, with a delicious red sauce and al dente angel hair pasta. Ate my fill, and took the rest home. Got another delicious meal that filled me up with the other half! My friend's Eggplant Rollatini was huge; she also took a sizeable portion home, along with half the garlic bread. Ordered a pizza delivered through a delivery service called Slice on 7/13/25 The restaurant is 2.3 miles from my house. It came 2 hours late and it wasn't nearly the pizza we ordered cold awful. So I had to take to the restaurant and return it. They made me a new pizza, but no apologies no credit nothing. I called the delivery service called Slice. No luck, sorry we're not going to do anything about this. So now I'm trying my bank. Needless to say I will never order delivery from this place again! read more

Ordered a pizza, cheese bread and a side salad for pick up. Pizza was decent, bread was okay wouldn't order it again, but what really gets me is the pitiful $6 side salad. First off, I have been a loyal customer for over 4 years, food quality has gone down drastically with new management, do NOT understand how 2 meatballs with publix quality would $9. I have also heard that the new management has been taking half of the tips from the counter girls . New owners have an ego problem, rude to their staff, and changed the prices for the same exact food quality. They claim they want to improve people experience but complain when doing so. Just had dinner here and everything was delicious. I had baked ziti , my son had chicken Parmesan and my husband had lasagna. Our dinners came with salads which had tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions and black olives with house dressing. Each dinner also came with three garlic rolls which were topped with Parmesan cheese and garlic. Our dinners portions were very generous. The servers were very attentive and polite. Was treated to dinner by friends at this lovely local Italian Restaurant located in Loxahatchee FL. The pleasantly appointed decor was comfortable and inviting,and the staff was amazing! I ordered an old standard, chicken piccata, my husband ordered the veal piccata. What can I say, we are both suckers for a good lemon caper sauce. My chicken was properly pounded thin and was very tender, the sauce perfect. My husband reported the same for his veal. Our friends ordered a pizza, half pepperoni and half plain cheese. The pizza came and was delivered center of the table on a stand, steaming hot. The pizza was New York style, with large foldable slices - looked perfectly delicious. This is a hidden gem. My family and I came here not expecting much but I can say this is one of the best Italian restaurants my family and I have been to. It exceeded our expectations. My grandfather could not stop raving about the food. In addition, the garlic rolls are amazing. Every single time we go they never fail to disappoint. Every single dish we have tried so far has been simply amazing! I love the salad before the entree and the atmosphere is nice and family cozy. I really enjoyed my experience. The fettuccine alfredo with chicken and broccoli was so delicious! I loved the creamy sauce and the thick noodles. The chicken Marsala was so flavorful and the baked ziti was delicious. As a frequent customer of Il Pomodoro, I can attest that the excellent service and quality of food is consistent. I have dined-in and had take-out on several occasions. The ambiance is one of a quaint neighborhood local establishment. The pizza is always hot and cooked to perfection with an abundant amount of toppings. My favorite dishes are the Chicken Parmigiana and Chicken Piccata. Each meal is accompanied with fresh, soft garlic rolls and a crispy salad. The portions are generous enough to share or have for another meal. Upon entering the restaurant , I am always greeted by the friendly counter staff and owner, Eddie. Each time I have been there, Cristina was pleasant and quick to acknowledge the customers waiting for food or to be seated. Due to it's popularity, the wait time for pick up can often take a few extra minutes but she provides an update on the status so you do not feel like you were forgotten. Good food takes time and it's worth the wait at this restaurant. If the special is Chicken Parm Alfredo get it!!!! 10 out of 10! And you can never go wrong with the Sicilian, and it tastes even better the next day in the air fryer. My go to though is always Chicken Marsala or Chicken Francese. My husband loves their Veal Parm.
