Shout out to LIZ in Wellington, FL. She jumped in When the pizza counter & carryout were swamped on a Sat evening & she turned it all around in 15 min! While waiting for my to-go order, I watched her check food quality, pull items from the coal oven, box or plate & take to table, and follow up with carry-out!!! She single handed got the team through the weeds & I also noticed everyone was very attentive to their specific job, it was just a super busy evening! If your looking for an actual pizza do not order a margarita pizza. Called in and ordered and they did not specify this Was a flat bread and not an actual pie. Slices were cut extremely thin to make it look like 8 slices , it was really maybe 4. Not filling, a small was 24$ over priced and bad service. Huge disappointment time and time again. We had the worst experience the last couple of times at this location so we stopped going and we decided to try it again after 2 years of not going here. We were greeted at the door (or should I say not greeted) by the hostess who said something about a ticket being late. We had no idea what she was telling us so my husband asked her to clarify what tickets are you talking about. Then she said there was no staff available and that we would be able to sit down but our food wouldn't come for 30 minutes. So we said it was fine, as long as we could get some drinks. We were seated and we just watched our waitress pass our table back and forth without any acknowledgement. 20 minutes later, I asked another sever if we could get some drinks and she said that we would have to wait for our server because she was extremely busy which we understood because she wasn't our server. Our server finally came over to us and asked us if we would like something g to drink but at this time, we had just started to stand up to leave when she came over. We told her that we were leaving and she said okay bye. No apology or is there something we can do. It's okay because we'll never go back. Keep your meatballs and your Ron. We stopped by on a moderately busy Tuesday evening for a quick bite of Coal fired cheese pizza and Garlic knots. Both were delicious and served right on time. In addition the service was excellent, our server was very responsive to our requests and checked on us to ensure we were happy with the food and nothing else was needed. The ambiance was nice but seating area is very limited. They will have to make accommodation for a party of 8 or above. There is a small outdoor seating area as well. Wellington Anthony's Coal-Fired Pizza - $78 for a Soggy, Inedible Mess I placed an online order for two large pizzas, expecting a decent meal. Instead, I got a total disaster. They didn't follow my order instructions, gave me the wrong toppings, and somehow managed to serve something that was both floppy and soggy when I specifically requested well-done. Order Instructions? Completely Ignored. I clearly asked for well-done pizzas, yet what I received was the opposite--a limp, wet, undercooked mess. The crust was so soft and soggy that it folded in half when I picked up a slice. It was like eating raw dough with barely any structure. The Pizzas Were Inedible Let's break it down: * Crust? Soggy, floppy, and completely undercooked. * Cheese? Oily, uneven, and pooling in certain areas while non-existent in others. * Sauce? Watery and tasteless, like they used a hose to rinse it onto the dough. * Toppings? Wrong. Plain and simple. What I ordered was nowhere to be found. For $70 + an $8 tip, I expected at least something remotely edible. Instead, I got a pizza that was borderline raw. The Manager's Response? Insulting. Let me start with something nice. The salad was good. Arrived at 5:40 and requested outdoor seating. I was told that the wait was less than 10 minutes because one of the tables was paying (this was after I was told I couldn't be seated at one of the tables because it was broken). We needed to sit out because we had our dog with us. I wait for a while and then grab a drink at the bar while my husband sits outside with our dog. After I order my drink, I'm told that the hostess made a mistake and the people weren't actually leaving and it would be about 20 minutes. Ok, fine. 40 minutes after arrival, the table is empty but it still has to be cleaned. The hostess let me know they are working to clean the table. I attempted to pay for my drink at the bar for over for 10 minutes, zero response from the bartender. Since the table is finally ready, I head outside to eat, finally. As we sit at the table and wait and wait, I notice people sit at the bar where I had been sitting, my trash still there as the bartender speaks to the new patrons. Our waiter comes over, we place our full order as we have known what we wanted for a very long time at this point. We place our order at 6:24 pm. Water for my husband, rolls, salad and pizza. The rolls were delivered at the same time as the water, and just as cold at 6:36, twelve minutes later. At that time, I ordered a Stella At 6:46, ten minutes later, my Stella finally comes out, we are told that the keg had popped.6:52, pizza is finally delivered, we are offered fresh plates which we sat yes too. They are delivered while our dirty plates and glasses are left. We finish our pizza and my beer stays empty, I never got my 2 for 1. Our plate is full of dirty dishes while we wait for the check. The check arrives, it takes more than 5 minutes to return with a receipt to sign. Overall, this was a 0 out of 10 experience. If we had been told up front that it was going to be a 45 minute wait, we would have left. The service was horrible, and the food was mediocre at best. Pizza I must say is phenomenal!!! The staff here are Superb! And it's a perfect lit place for a small intimate date or even a family night out! So completely recommend ! The garlic rolls are so so good!! The pizza is amazing! I kept pushing this place aside until I folded and to be honest I'm glad I bent the knee it was just fabulous! When my boyfriend and I want to enjoy a low-key dinner out and are craving pizza, Anthony's is are go-to!! The coal fired pizza is so good. We always order a salad and wings to start then get a 16" pizza, all to share. We usually get a pepperoni pizza but our last visit we saw one with prosciutto and arugula (definitely next on our list). The restaurant has a fun vibe! There's pictures of, I'm assuming the owner, with a bunch of different celebrities and historic pictures of the restaurant's origin. They have indoor, outdoor and bar seating. Our server was great! Very friendly and quick to get our orders out. We were pleasantly full when we left and had some leftovers which still tasted delicious the following day. The price vs. value is spot-on! I'm a fan of Anthony's. I started going to his restaurants in Fort Lauderdale when they first opened. I used to eat there frequently when I worked in downtown Fort Lauderdale. We've been to several of these CFP ones including a couple in the Tampa and Orlando area. The kids like pizza and the adults do too. And when we've treated family it's not too expensive, either. We were meeting my college girlfriend and her husband. Sue is a vegetarian so their pizza and salad is a good option. Little did we know when I suggested meeting here was that her husband's favorite pizza is from an ACF nearer to their home. We walked in on a Saturday night and they were packed! Almost every table was taken. I wasn't expecting that. Luckily Sue had gotten there early and snagged one of the last open tables. It also turns out that we both are part of their rewards programs. In fact, Ed has just taken advantage of a Father's Day promotion to buy a gift card for $50 and get $20 in gift cards for yourself. We enjoyed a well done mushroom pizza and their house salad. We both ordered the same thing but they got it in the larger size so Ed could have leftover pizza to take to with for lunch. The service was fast and friendly. The food cooked perfectly. We have been going to this restaurant for over 10 years. We went there today and ordered a Caesar's salad which we always order when we go there. When we received the salad the lettuce was white and there wasn't any dressing on the salad. It was lettuce with a little cheese on top. So we had to ask for EXTRA dressing smh and mix it ourselves. Then we ordered 2 meatballs and 5 dry rub wings. When the wings came they were basically wings with nothing on them. When they came we told the server we ordered dry rub and she took them back. Then she brought them back with no dry rub on them again. I asked her if the kitchen knew how to make a dry rub wing? Then the manager, Liz came over and told me they only sprinkle the dry rub on the wings!!! Since when we asked, we've been coming here for 10 years and never had the wings come to the table looking like that. Liz took them back and then added the correct dry rub to them even though we didn't want them anymore. She then said she would give them the wings for free but that is not what we wanted. We went there for the experience we always had. A good meal, good atmosphere and a relaxing time. Instead we got fed less than what we were being charged for. Liz did comp the bill but that's not what we wanted. We wanted the experience we always had when we went there. Then we got in the car and looked up the restaurant and find out they have been sold and resold. Hence the cutting back on dressing and dry rub? lol, Why should the consumer suffer with poor quality so you can try and make a better profit? How's about servicing your customers with the best restaurant experience so they will choose your restaurant whenever there is a question where we should go eat? Instead, you ruined a customer who's been going to this store for 10 years and will never go back. These people who buy these restaurants should realize it's customer service and quality that brings people to your restaurant. Anthony's overall is a four out of five star restaurant but tonight I had a experience that bothered me. I got a five piece wings and tried to order extra bread. The girl on the phone told me there was no bread in the restaurant at all and I asked three times if there was bread and that I would pay extra to get more bread, she said no, and I moved on. Then I ordered a calzone. I asked if there was ham she said there was no ham only prosciutto. I've ordered ham at this restaurant before when I picked up my meal there was bread with the wings (I thought there was none???) and the calzone had no mozzarella.. it felt like it only had ricotta cheese, and then the I paid for two sides of sauce and it was Bolognese. I don't like Bolognese sauce. I wanted the regular sauce so I was disappointed when I realized I got those instead. Hopefully this was a bad night for them read more
