Caprese salad
Homaira B.

Great service and about 15 min walk from Vatican City. Open spaced restaurant, lovely decor, and many pasta choices. We shared the Caprese salad and I enjoyed the shrimp pasta. Love the dish-ware! My pasta was light cheese and pepper sauce. Very flavorful. The bread under the tomatoes and mozzarella cheese remained nice and toasty in the Caprese salad. Grab a coffee and a small snack at Vatican City, then make your way to Il Pozzetto; it's worth treating your appetite to something special.

Second night in Rome and we were looking for some authentic Italian food. Keeping in mind we had young children with us so needed to make sure we found American-kid friendly food. Pozzetto offered a wide variety and this is where I fell in love with carbonara. The interior setting is nice and comfortable. They have outdoor options too. We were treated well and enjoyed the hospitality.

Creme Brulèe

Pleasant food. We ordered a Spaghetti All'Matriciana, as it is a typical dish from Rome. It was good. The atmosphere is pleasant and we had the possibility to stay on the terrace. For dessert we ordered a Creme Brulèe and a petit gateau (which they call by another name) The desserts are nothing special.

Seafood pasta

It's not quite a 4-star but it's more than a 3-star. The food was alright but it could have been better, especially the saltimbocca. Considering where it's located in Borgo Pio near the Vatican I expected more. Still a decent meal. Would return.

Seafood risotto and margarita pizza

My wife and I came here on a weeknight so it was pretty slow. The staff were friendly and helpful in suggesting dishes that they recommended. We ordered the seafood risotto and pizza. Highly recommend the seafood risotto. The pizza was ok, nothing special. It was pleasant with the outdoor seating minus the continuous heckling from salesman trying to sell you useless junk when you're trying to just enjoy dinner. Apart from that it's a nice place.

We ate here on our last day in Rome. The food was so good, if I had known about this place sooner, I would have come more often. Toni/Michela were very friendly and efficient, food was delicious, steaks cooked perfectly, etc. My wife, two kids and I loved what we ordered! Check out all our pics

Air conditioned restaurant

Tired from a long day at the Vatican & found this little place! A bit pricey but they had Risotto! Ate inside, a bit sterile but it was air conditioned! The lasagna is amazing! Pesto pasta heavy on the basil, risotto delicious. The Tiramisu is a wow! 10% service charge was funky in Italy, so beware!

I love this place! The pasta was fresh and flavorful. The sauce wasn't too acidic or overwhelming. The lamb is one of the best ones I ever had. It was tender yet crunchy on the outside. Is a must try spot if you ever around the area.

Lasanha

That's a great restaurant very close to Piazza San Pietro. Tables outside are the best option but we couldn't get one! All places around are packed after the Sunday mass. It is also lovely inside. We ordered Lasagna (omg, what was that? The best lasagna I ate in ages!) I also tried the Strozzapreti All matriciana, it was delicious - I believe they made it there, it tasted like homemade. I had the local beer but it wasn't particularly interesting. Should have gone for the house wine instead. They had also vegetarian options.

Gnocchi
Chris F.

We had a nice lunch time meal here. The prosciutto and melon was very good. The gnocchi was truly amazing and the fussili pesto was very good as well. The pizza's are also very tasty. It is a bit pricey as they have a truly outstanding wine cellar, and we unfortunately did not have any wine with lunch I suspect you pay a little extra in a place like thing for them maintaining such a cast wine collection. A good spot just a few blocks from the Vatican for a very good meal. If you enjoy your wine probably the best option for you.

Pasta was not aldente, sauce was not very good either for the carbonara. Could improve how they cook their pasta... drastically

Review # 1200 After…read moresome shopping on the Via cola Di Riemzo, we were ready for lunch. This spot was a Yelp find. We arrived just before they opened at 12:30. We asked for a table outside and the kind lady asked us if we had a reservation (oh oh). We didn't. No problem as we took our pick of one of the tables. Two levels inside with a small Bar in the back. Before we knew it, outside seating was full and inside also filled up-a good sign. We ordered a liter (ended up being too much but when in Rome...) of their house Red and enjoyed it. For starters, we ordered the Fried Artichokes (thick breading and will order the Roman style with garlic/vinegar next time), fried Zucchini and Suppli-Cacio Pepe. The Suppli was delicious and was enjoyed the most. For main, it was Pasta Carbonara (Guanciale )-Proper carbonara and the streak of not having a bad version of this dish in Rome continues. The sliced Beef with mushrooms was also delicious -super tender and thin pieces of beef (medium rare as requested). We asked if the Tiramisu was house-made. Our server answered, "yes, and I am the one who makes it." How could we not order after that?! One of the best Tiramisus we've had. Perfect balance of coffee dipped lady fingers with cream-delicious! Our Server was kind, attentive and full of hustle -she was covering a lot of ground. Don't miss this Gem if you are in the Prati district.

We shared the fried calamari and anchovy appetizer, which tasted fresh. I had the lasagna and it was excellent. My wife got the ravioli and really liked it she said it was a unique and tasty dish. For dessert we shared the Crème Catalana. The server brought it out and torched the sugar right at the table, which was fun to watch and tasted perfect. Great food and genuinely exceptional service. Would definitely return.

I had the special which was the truffle pasta and my husband had the Cacio e Pepe. Both were phenomenal! The portion size is perfect and the price was very very reasonable. This shop is more of a countertop order from their limited menu but the menu is executed so well you'll be tempted to order multiple bowls. There are a few stools and table out front to enjoy your food hot. Both times I've been on separate visits within two years, has only shown me how consistent their food and quality is. You can pair your dishes with an aperol spritz or mini bottle of wine for less than five euros. The pasta was about nine to eleven euros and the portions were more than plenty. The chef and owner are super nice and very informative about their dishes. If you are a fan of spice you have to try their chef-recommended dish. They had one dish topped with pancetta and I just about wanted to lick my bowl clean. Everyone in the group was raving how delicious it was. Egg will forever be on my must-have when visiting Rome.

I had possibly the most amazing chick food pasta a girl could imagine. Girls know what girl food is. The pasta in Italy is just better -obviously. But then put all sorts of girl flavors on it like Lemon and Orange, just lightly enough, zest with a small hint of cheese-..... omgosh. Yes, yes, and yes. Need my hubs to replicate at home. He is going to be busy trying to perfect this. Tagliatelle with orange and lemon parmesan. This was it. It was the best. Everything else we ordered was amazing as well. Wait outside. They don't have a sign telling you to wait, no server telling you to wait. You wait out there, wondering if you're in the right place, but then people stand behind you and you're like - oh! I'm here. This is the place. There are possibly 4 tables inside. It's small. I read about them being rude- we did not have that problem.
