Would not recommend…read more I dropped my bike off 6 weeks ago and knew it was time for the dropper post to be rebuilt which they confirmed. I was told they'd get it rebuilt then contact me when it was ready. I didn't hear anything back and when I reached out yesterday that's the first time they tried to fix it saying they could send it off to be done locally. What were they doing the past 6 weeks?? I can't imagine relying on this place to services bike in riding season with any sense of confidence. While they blamed it on Fox for warranty issues, the first they asked about what year it was to see if it was recall eligible was yesterday, so it clearly was sitting there for 6 weeks collecting dust. Tried to keep business at a small shop, but very disappointed. Picked up my bike and will take my business elsewhere.

My board was flying down the hill the other day, and I could hear the edges really digging in to the snow. I hesitate to be "that guy", but…read more.... I had a new battery installed on my Triumph. You have to remove the ECM bracket in order to get the battery in or out. This is done by undoing one bolt. Not knowing about the bolt, they broke the ECM bracket by trying to pry it out of the way. This YELP review is about this particular incident, but there have been others. There have been obvious problems that should have been seen by the mechanic and/or the service manager, resulting in service that I would have had done. A service manager needs to inspect every job before he/she signs off on it. They don't do that here, otherwise they would have caught these things. The owner is a good guy and they carry a line of bikes I find appealing but the service dept. really needs either better, or more, people. I've owned a lot of bikes over the years and worked in the service and parts departments at a few shops. This wouldn't fly anywhere I ever worked. Their service manager will always feign ignorance in an effort to upsell you on unneeded and expensive diagnostic work. And only rarely will own up to a mistake they might have made.

Scott Yamasaki the owner, wrench, builder, psychiatrist, advisor, comedian, etc. has been at this gig for almost 40 years (remember Custom City Cycles on Wadsworth?). He knows pans and knuckles where a lot of other shops have never seen either or both. He works on everything from the old board track racers to V-Rods. Other established high dollar shops bring work to Scott when they can't finger it out themselves. He never charges enough for the work he does and his loyal customers appreciate the deal their getting from this local legend. Ask someone who knows Harley's in Colorado and ask them about Scott Yamasaki.
