We have gone a couple of times, and will continue to go as often as possible. The burgers are to die for, and the fries and onion strings are just as good. I went here for the first time for dinner and had the black bean burger. It came with sprouts, avocado and some sort of spicy in-house mustard. I was pretty nervous because it seemed like the burger was only on there to assuage vegetarians... but it was actually really good. I also liked the "trio" side dish they had, and the sweet potato and waffle fries were hot and fresh. I was not so excited about the strange cheese balls, but was happy overall. We went inside about 15 minutes after they opened. We never ate at an Illegal Burger before. The customer service was awesome. The man was very kind, helped us decide on a burger to order. They have very unique burgers to order from. Mine had cream cheese, fried jalapeños, fried onion crunchies. (Sorry no picture) Sounds weird, but it was delicious! The restaurant was very clean! The employee even came by to check on us and take our burger baskets. Once again, he was very nice. This place has a setting of a Five Guys or Smashburger. Most employees don't come check on you or clean up your table. If I lived around one of these chains, I would go again. read more

I heard about Illegal Burger from a friend, who had nothing but good things to say. I took my daughter there for lunch today. All I can say is wow!!! I'm not sure where some of the negative reviews are coming from. We were greeted at the door by the owner (how often does that happen). The extensive menu has something for everyone. I ordered the slinger burger and my daughter had the kids burger. Not only were our burgers amazing, but the sweet potato fries were good too. This is the best burger I have had in a long time and its right here in Evergreen. My daughter took one bit and yelled "Ummm this is good daddy", it was cute and embarrassing at the same time. The product quality used to make the burgers was exceptional. I learned the meat used for the burgers is even fresh Colorado beef. My burger was juicy and the prices reflect the quality of our meal. Qdoba is just as expensive. The staff was nice and even held the door for us as we left. This is going to be one of our go to restaurants. I can't wait to take the entire family here. read more

Save your money and go to Burger King if you want a burger- the food at Illegal Burger is not good. The burgers were wet and pretty tasteless, others have said they were probably frozen and I agree. We tried the burger with avocado and the bacon cheeseburger- both were bad. We also ordered the cheesy tater tots and they were NOT tater tots! It was a weird hush puppy type thing with cheese and potato inside, they should definitely not be labeled as tater tots. On top of that they were cold in the middle- definitely a frozen item that was just plopped in the fryer, honestly they were disgusting. WHAT IS THIS PLACE?....I mean honestly, heaven on a bun? My boyfriend and I always passed the location in Evergreen on our weekly trip to Qdoba and wondered how it was! Well yesterday, we finally stopped in and I'm so glad we did! Just by looking at the menu, I knew I this was the place for me. Waffle fries? Milkshakes? Full Bar? The cashier was very friendly and even told us her favorites on the menu. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger with fried jalapenos, a side of truffle fries and a vanilla milkshake with a swig of Baileys. My boyfriend had the fish sandwich with a southwestern tartar sauce, a side of waffle fries and an Izze soda. Everything was made fresh to order and we only had to wait about ten minutes! My burger was cooked to a perfect medium and the fried jalapenos were mouth watering. I usually go to Smash Burger for my burger cravings, but this will definitely be my new spot! read more

Businesses in the area of El Rancho in Evergreen it was exciting to see a burger joint open. I tried it today ordering the Chicken Club and my co-workers ordered the bean burger and mushroom burgers. Judging from the temp and texture, my chicken was obviously previously over-cooked and then re-heated for my order. My co-workers bean burger was so-so and the mushroom burgers were given a little bit higher rating. For $7 burgers, the anticipation proved to be pointless. :^( read more

This place in incredible! I lived in California for a long time, so I understand what a good burger is, and this place delivers, and is a good price too. The street burger with avocado and split hotdog on a pretzel bun is simply amazing. A little messy- yes, but that is because it is a huge, quality beef patty, with tons of pickles and other fixins! Fries are solid too, but it's really the burgers that are worth going for. I was actually disappointed when I saw the "coming soon" sign as I tend to like "healthier" options and was hoping a Vietnamese or Mediterranean restaurant or something would show up, but these burgers are fresh and tasty, and the salads are also very solid. read more

The food is pretty good and once I place my order online I head out of the office and the food is ready the second I arrive after my 10 minute drive. It's pretty good food, but the sweet potato fries aren't always the same. For a nearby last minute option, this place wasn't too bad. We stayed across the way at the Comfort Suites hotel for a wedding and needed a quick bite to eat. They have Gluten Free buns!!! That was enough to get me inside! However, the buns fell apart pretty quickly which can definitely make or break a GF burger! If overpriced, mediocre food that makes you sick a few hours after you eat is what you crave, then this is the place for you. I ordered the new" special" green chile burger. The green chile did actually have good flavor- the whole 1/4 c. that came with it. I'm from Southern Colorado- I'm used to burgers that swim in green chile. My boyfriend ordered "The Boss" and liked it quite a bit.... Until later. We both got sick several hours later. Not surprising, looking back. The place was DIRTY- dried ketchup on the napkin dispenser, muddy foot prints throughout, trash littering the floor. They weren't busy- so not sure why the place was wrecked. The other thing I'm not pleased with is that there was no itemization on my receipt. When you pay $40 for two hamburgers, it would be nice to see the breakdown. I was referred here by a friend and i didn't even know the restaurant was there. It was a little cool to sit outside so we sat inside. There are not too many tables so more of a pick up and go. I liked the burger with pineapple and different options for fries. I did like the food. I thought the portions were good. I think the line to enter needs more clarification as most people walk up to the counter directly rather than to the side to the cashier. The prices might be a little high for what you get. Shady business! Not getting my money again! If you visit this place in Evergreen, beware of the lousy service by the manager. Went in on a Sunday afternoon, the place was nearly empty with no wait. The incompetent manger taking our orders (6 people) couldn't even get them right, it was as if he was stoned or just plane stupid. We spent $64 in food and when the orders started to arrive, the first two were completely wrong, one was not even part of our original order. The poor kid serving us took them back to be corrected and even made the effort to print out our food order and check it with us before bring out anymore food. He did mention that his manager continues to screw orders up and that he doesn't know what he is doing. The correct orders finally came out and our sever told us that he would do something to fix the issue. He offered money back or free food, but he was going to take care of it. Half way through our meal our server came out and offered shakes for everyone, so we took him up on the offer. At this point we were all good and satisfied with the outcome. Now today, Wednesday, I check my bank account and they charged me $76...$12 more then my original bill! WTF???! Will be disputing this charge! read more
