This place was recommended to me by Danny Keys 24/7. I had my existing garage door opener replaced with a new one that has a remote keypad and a camera. I also had the rubber seal along the door replaced. While I am happy with the services provided, I am not happy with several service issues. A technician came out for a free estimate and gave I him a 50% deposit based on what we discussed. I scheduled an early morning appointment for a week later because I couldn't stay at my house while the services were performed the day of the estimate. I had to get to work. The morning of the appointment the technician did not show up within the time timeframe we had agreed on. When I called the office, they told me the technician would call me. Technician called me and said he was going to be late because he was having trouble finding the rubber seal and needed to go to a warehouse to pick it up. First of all, there was a week when someone could've found the rubber strip. I don't know why they waited till the morning of the appointment. Second of all if you're going to be late for an appointment, you should call and tell the client. The technician did offer me the opportunity to reschedule the appointment, but I had placed the service call for a day and time that I could be at my house and did not have any other time available. When the technician finally arrived, he installed the new opener and I was very surprised that it had a camera because at the time of the estimate, I said that I did not need a camera. I had explained that I don't care who comes in and out of my garage. My concern is, did someone leave the door open and if so, am I able to close it when I am not at my house? The technician informed me that was only possible if the opener had a camera. Something I was not told at the time of the estimate. Once the opener with the camera was installed, the technician told me that in order to be able to view the videos from the camera on my cell phone I needed to pay a monthly or an annual fee. Not a huge deal, but . . . The technician told me he was going to reprogram my old keypad, which was a cheap keypad that I purchased at Home Depot and installed myself. It hasn't worked in years. I insisted on a new keypad and was told it was going to cost me another $95. I balked at that idea and was told that it wasn't listed in the service order. At the time of the estimate, I was not told that the keypad was going to cost an extra $95 and in all honesty I never looked at my receipt which is something I should've done. Regardless I should've been told during the estimate that the new keypad was not included in the price of the new opener. Call me stupid, but I just assumed a new opener that had a keypad would include the price of the keypad. So the end result was, I spent more money than I had intended because of what I feel were hidden costs that were not presented to me at the time of the estimate. I also spent an hour and a half more away from my job than I intended. All I can say is, consumer beware. Make sure you ask all the questions - even ones that you think are stupid - and don't assume anything. Also look at your receipt very carefully and when you schedule your appointment insist that the technician be there on time. To be fair, the technician was courteous and patient and he helped me program the app that I need to view the videos. read more

UPDATE IN RESPONSE: This company just continues to lie.. we asked for a full repair after the fact they did it wrong from the start and they refused. We never said no to any service and actually asked about the gap from the start. The tech said it cannot be fixed due to the unlevel floors (turns out that wasn't the case). We just want solutions and want it fixed! They are forcing us to dispute through our credit card even though we are still under warranty. This company just keeps lying and their FB is full of fake reviews. We hired this company 3 weeks ago to repair our garage door track and install a door opener. Yesterday our garage was robbed. We had a couple other garage door repair companies come by and grab other opinions on how we got robbed (we have no windows and the overhead door was left open by the burglar). The door was not installed/adjusted properly and there is a 1"+ gap between the top of the door and the garage opening. The emergency release cable is accessible through this gap. Also, the manual lock that secures the door to the new track had one bolt installed on the top of the lock, instead of 2 bolts holding the top and bottom of the lock in place. When opened it swiveling and pulls the bolt out of lock. After calling the company, they insisted that they do not add manual locks to the track unless asked for specifically and it is not their fault that it was installed wrong. He also informed me that the garage door openers "lock" button is to unpair with iOS devices not actually lock the door shut? Weird! Bottom line, there is no way to lock the door! The gap at the top gives full access to the emergency release. His response to asking how this garage door can be locked and secured was "It is not our fault that you do not know how to use a garage door." A few minutes after hanging up, the company calls back to schedule a visit to check out the problem. The next morning the Illinois Garage Repair installer comes back to inspect. He blames the gap on our floor being unlevel. We show him with our 4' level that all over the floor is perfectly level. The installer continues to say it's unlevel even when literally showing him the bubble, directly in the middle, on the level all across the floor. He then says you cannot raise the door to block the gap because the top angle of the arm has to be 95°. When providing zero solutions and only excuses, we asked the company to please remove what was installed and set it back to the way it was. I would rather the door not work at all vs having no way of locking it and prevent more break-ins. The installer then says, the owner will contact us and then the installer leaves. About 5 minutes later, he comes back. We pulled out our square tool to measure the angle of the top arm. The installer then changed his story once we show him the angle is actually 75°. After not finding a solution to fix the installation problem, they offer only half of our money back BUT they uninstall everything. We lost a $1000 bike and spent $1200 on these guys. If we got a $600 refund and left with no opener, track, axles & spring, then that means we paid $600 for nothing at all and lost $1000 bike. One top of it, the service and opener are still under their warranty. BEST PART!!! When we refused the $600 refund, the owner advised that we dispute the charge through our credit card company instead! Explaining they just did this to a rental car company and we can get our money back through our card holder, not them! Credit. Card. Fraud! I literally video recorded him advising this! SAVE YOURSELF AND DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY!!! read more
