Man, as a client of Edgar's for over 6 years I would expect better customer service. His customer service has really went down the drain. I usually don't write bad reviews but considering I'm out 500$ for a ceramic coat, I need to spread awareness.. here's my experience.. I've had Edgar work on my vehicles since late 2019, and up until today I will no longer be using him. I've been very loyal to him and his business as he really does great work (even still today). But unfortunately his communication, and customer service skills are lacking big time. And as of late I feel very betrayed by his business practices. So just for reference I had spoke with Edgar about getting my jet skis ceramic coated in late February/ early March when I got my truck ceramic coated by him. So we set a rough date, and he gave me the pricing. I agreed. I hit him up on IG on the 15th of March because he had an opening available for the 16th. He asked if I could front him 150$ of the overall 1000$ total to buy marine ceramic coat product. I sent it. He shows up around 6 pm and starts working on the first ski. Finishes around midnight and say he will be back to finish the second ski the next day. Fine no problem. So I end up making my first mistake, paying him in full for both skis. 150+remaining 850$. Well that's where it started going downhill. Reschedules, no call no show, no responses, unkept promises. My time is very valuable so I can't afford to do this for MONTHS on end. So by April 19th after many missed appointments and reschedules I asked for a refund. He called and explained he didn't have the money anymore. Ok I'll give him a reset so we reschedule. So 3 months later after more reschedules and missed appointments along with our time frames not aligning I'm calling him out to do the right thing. Send me a refund so I can get someone else to take care of me. There is way more to this story but I will leave it at that. Please be cautious when working with Edgar as he hasn't been great as of late, make sure he does the work before you pay him, and don't put up with getting rescheduled and pushed aside when there are many other people out there that could use the business! read more

Requested vehicle to be detailed and scheduled a date and time on September 10th 2025 between 12-1 PM for Edgar to come out. Edgar required me to put a deposit down as a new customer and then proceeded to no call no show on the appointment despite keeping my deposit and not responding to texts days after missing the scheduled appointment. Do not recommend this business at all, this behavior is highly unacceptable and practically fraudulent for requiring a deposit and then not showing up to complete the service and not returning the funds. Extremely unprofessional behavior and is clearly a continuous issue with this person as mentioned in previous reviews. read more

Needed to find a mobile auto detailer. Went with Illustrious and couldn't be more pleased! Great customer service. The owner kept in contact often and alerted when he would arrive. The owner explained everything he planned to do and did a before and after walk around of my car! He did an amazing job. And my interior looks new again! Not bad for a 10 year old car. When I reached out, the owner was very quick to respond and helpful in answering all my questions. They are flexible with scheduling and were able to fit us in at a time that worked for us. The quality of the work was exceptional. We received multiple comments on how clean and nice the car looked after a detail and ceramic coating. I've came here twice now, once in 2020 and today. Edgar is very reasonable and takes pride in his work. The employees are also helpful and informative too. If you feel something is off, Edgar will correct it. They did a great job on the interior detail for my car both times around. As with most people, I want trustworthy people to work on my car and I was not disappointed. I was extremely happy with the way my car turned out. I can tell you my car has been neglected for a good while and they came to my house and made my car look like it came off the show room floor. I bought my Model 3 going on four years ago. The first thing I wanted to do was to put a clear bra on the front half of it and add the Ceramic Pro coating overall. My car looked great then and it still does. I have never been dissatisfied with the service at Illustrious. read more

I was not going to post a review but I get more and more upset thinking about how I was treated and how much I spent for almost no results. I paid to have a 2 stage swirl removal done. They told me that was their specialty. Edgar said that 1 stage removes about 80% of swirls and 2 stage 95%. I would say they removed 20% of my swirls. I had to bring my car back to them and Edgar claimed it was just swirls left by the first stage. Still only about 30 to 40% swirls removed. Also, he dented my roof and I had to go get that fixed. Edgar paid for it but between Edgars shop and the dent removal my car was gone for about 10 days. Also they are not at the shop during their posted business hours and will tell you to get your car when the lighting is the worst for inspecting. I cant believe Edgar didnt give me a discount for all he put me through. Instead I paid full price for trash work. I could say so much more but dont have the time. Take your car somewhere else and get it done right. I have to pay another $500 to get my car done right. read more

Edgar and the crew run a tight ship with everything they do. If you're vehicle isn't perfect, they will keep going until it is, whether it be their basic Executive wash or a ceramic coating job. Illustrious is the only mobile detail service I will let touch my BMWs. I've tried the other guys, and always felt disappointed. Illustrious always leaves my cars looking and smelling fresh, even my 1990 BMW 750IL that I dragged out of the prior owners backyard after sitting for 6 years. I'm saving my pennies right now for one of their Ceramic Pro coatings, the only guys trained to apply the proper coating in the High Desert. read more
